Here I am surrounded by people,
All their faces are unknown.
I know I’ve seen them before,
I know they care for me,
Yet their words are like stone
Cold, rough, unfeeling.
I just wish I could tell them,
I hate keeping them in the dark.
But who can I trust anymore?
Things have changed since I’ve returned.
They think it’s the same as before.
I’m still a child in their eyes.
Yet inside, I know I’m dead.
