Finally, the bell rang, and everyone was gathering into ‘friend groups’. Three kids approached me- a girl and two boys.
“Hey! You’re Amarika, right?” the girl asked.
“Yeah?”
She giggled, “I’m Akira and these,” points at the guy on the right, “are Ikra and Kira.”
“Yo!” Ikra mentioned.
“Nice to meet you Ama-”
“Just call me Rika.” I permitted.
“Oh ok, Rika!” Kira corrected.
“Anyways do you wanna hang with us?” she questioned.
“Sure, why not?” I answered.
As we were leaving, Lucas came up to us and told Akira, Ikra and Kira something about me but they didn’t listen to him; saying that he’s lying. Later, we were at the Royal Gardens (still in the school) where students usually had tea. However, no-one was there except for the four of us. The grass was as green as lime, bushes of strawberry-red grew around the garden. Was this really the same dimension? It was more like-
“Aaaahhh!”
“A scream?” Akira panicked.
“Are they at it again?” Ikra asked.
“Probably...” Kira mentioned.
“What’s going on?”
Suddenly, every student was gathered in the hall. Murmuring and whispers everywhere; everyone was curious. All the teachers, were on the stage preparing to make an announcement but then... it appeared. A blood-thirsty, flesh-hungry ghoul. The one from the legends. In its mouth was a dislocated arm of, probably, some innocent student. Its breathing getting louder and louder it was taking its time approaching me!
A barrier of gold surrounded me and the beast, I was in a life or death situation, right now. Or at least that’s what everyone thought except the teachers. Before battling, I saw a hint of Queen Leviathan.
“So, this is a test, huh?” I whispered underneath my breath.
I calmed myself down and snapped my fingers. Then a royal-brown table with nice hot tea appeared along with a nice comfy chair. I sat down.
“Shadow, won’t you take care of this trash?” I commanded.
A large magic circle teleported to the realm of mortals and out of it was a demon of great power. Chains. Chains binded him to the deep depths of the purgatory until I commend him.
“Yes Master.” he replied.
And so, the battles of the monsters began. Shortly after it ended, and the barrier evaporated like water. Along with the ghoul's remains, my table-set and Shadow.
I stood up, indifferent to the whole situation, “Game over.”
Everyone stared at me in awe, whilst the Queen, herself, applauded me.
“Amazing, Rika.” she smiled and approached me, “Just what I’d expect from the keeper of Judgement.”
I sighed, “Was this meant to be a test or something?”
She seemed surprised, “No, not at all. It seems someone purposely let that demon in and allowed it to kill a student. Anyways, Rika be careful; they might be after your eyes.”
After warning me she left.
