"Welcome to your new home away from home kids!" the enthusiastic teacher greeted the class of 19 kids who all seemed under joyed to be there.
Everyone there was at the age of 12-14 and seemingly like how most teens would depict themselves: edgy. It was confusing on how people thought edgy as gothic and emo instead of something seemingly on the egde. Kids these days use edgy too often in Kath's opinion. It was just stupid.
The teacher was bragging on about something that didn't interest Kath in the slightest so the best thing she could think of was just draw. Drawing always got her somewhere, even if it got her in trouble it got her somewhere.
Her innocent seeming doodles of small, stick mammals standing around doing nothing sat on the top and side of her page she had open in her book. They were soon turned into warriors dawning axes and shields as if they were vikings but replaced with animals. It kept her mind off the boring name game everyone was doing around her where everyone said their name and something they want to be when their older, when it was Kath's turn she did as said and went back to drawing not even noticing what she said nor cared what she said. She had told everyone that she wanted to be a stay at home dog walker which wasn't true at all. After she had filled a whole page of a stick comic of viking animals she changed to adding little drawings drawn on her desk, they were put there but other kids of last year since no one changed the desks or bothered to clean them. She placed a small stick bird in between a drawing of a poorly drawn penis and a doodle of a face saying "I love butt" in a speech bubble next to it. It was humorous yes but Kath's little bird was better honestly. She sensed someone looking over her shoulder and looked to the blonde female behind her with an eyebrow cocked up.
"Sorry for being creepy but I noticed you drawing and thought I'd see what it was." The blonde apologized for what she did. She seemed nice I suppose.
"Its alright I guess." Was the best thing Kath could think to say, she didn't really care.
She turned back around to continue her drawing to get through this boring ass class.
