SIN; The Walk Of Shame

Chapter 4-2; Pride

Chapter 4-2; Pride

Dec 10, 2018

Mister Sir emanates a power heat wave aura that senses the various vibrations and life sources in the area, discerning the real ones from the fake ones. The fake ones would not come up in his senses, and he would not be drawn to the fake images. Instead, only wherever the true Greed or Pride were was where Mister Sir's energy would carry him, and in a flickering flash of flame, would he spontaneously appear behind one of them with a concussive explosion, knocking them out of their place and into a visible plain area of tangibility for him to actually have a target to hit. "Oh, But Can't I?" Mister Sir nearly chuckled, brushing off their combined efforts of intimidation, knowing that all of it was just the two of them sticking out their chest. "Don't Forget That I Already Know All Your Secrets And Weaknesses." Mister Sir shook his head, not taking his eyes off of whichever physical body was struck down by the flames of Wrath first. "And The Both Of You Have No Substance Behind All That Big Talk." The scorching heat that bore down on all of them prevented any form of living thing from growing; not a plant nor a tree, to even the leaf of a green plant, such as money, itself. Greed and all of his associates were receiving a pay cut in advance solely on conditions alone, and they would begin to lose value because everything else around them was losing value, as well; all burning up behind them.

The Lake of Fire that was already lit contributed to the heat of the atmosphere, since, for as far as the eye could see, there was nothing but the burning sea of sinfulness that all life had contributed to, with more Burning Bodies falling into it at a time as they may, even now. There was no way a single lifeform could survive these conditions without drying up and dying of thirst. "You've Never Been Through A Famine, Have You?" He chuckled, smirking cockily. "No, Not Like The Ones That You Already Started To Decay. Now, You're Not Going To Know What To Do." He laughed at them, waiting for any of them to move, rather patiently, at that. "But Guess Who Does?"

Mister Sir was feeling better already. Nearly elated. He shook his head. "Tsk. Tsk. Tsk. How The Mighty Have Fallen." He chuckled, feeling somehow lighthearted.

"Endsville Is Burning..."

He took off his shades and fire poured from his eyes as a burning light. The stitching on his eyes was burnt away and all of the souls inside of his body would be purged all at once, and collectively become the flames of Wrath, itself, contained in his body. He was taken up on the spot. "You Can't Run From Me," He said calmly, with a smile on his face. The fires that poured out of his temple would flicker about like a candle, yet would curl to a point, like Superman. His blazing white eyes would gaze into the false images and pierce through each of them with a burning light, which would torch the falsehoods left behind out of the sky and burn up the very atmosphere, itself, with a sweep of his gaze. The first one that was spotted within his line of sight would suffer the same outcome.

The Archduke that was being led by a finely dressed man with nice hair would emerge from the Great Darkness, which was much larger than the smaller Darkness spots that were spotted all over the terrain wherever there was high ground or something that could create a shadow. By this time, as the Archduke stepped into the West Gate, where the Lake of Fire was located, the Great Darkness would have passed over all the land and turned day into Night, and everywhere the Archduke walked, it would be night. All of the Zero Worlders that were passing up the mountain would walk under the cover of the Night, where they couldn't be seen and their locations remained anonymous to all except the Archduke, who walked ahead of them separately as not to draw attention to the whole crowd and expose their location to the one he was striking up a potential contract with. The Archduke waited patiently to be walked through with a grand tour.

"Ah, I see that my honored guest has finally shown up!" Greed turned his head to Mister Sir, laughing dauntingly, "Right on time." He smirked. "As usual." There was silence, yet it, too, was broken by the spontaneous ignition of Mister Sir, which brightened up the dark sky, something like the light of the sun or of a very intense fire. When Mister Sir first caught sight of Greed and where his voice was coming from, the image would break and the beam that was directed at this specific image of Greed would instead strike the Archduke, instead, who was innocently following behind the image of Greed, not knowing where the real one had gotten to, either. "Now look what you've done," Greed would say with a rather smug turned up smile, something similar to that of Vanity's, "Guess who is going to pay for it and clean it up?" Greed had already come prepared, even if something like this, such as a drought and this famine occurred. "Another one bites the dust. And I don't have to suffer for it." Greed smiled deviously, already having a thorough escape route thought out.

During Mister Sir's rather calm and collected rampage, all of the images of Greed were burnt up, and Greed was nowhere to be found afterward.

There was a flash of light that suddenly came from up above, when Mister Sir just-so-happened to look at the correct image of Pride directly and reflect his own light back into his face, blinding him and sealing the light from his eyes and seal of the souls back up through the reflection of the mirror. "Keep your eyes in your own head, pervert," Pride said smugly, turning his nose up and laughing lightly to himself. He glared down in a condescending manner at Mister Sir, drawing nearer and nearer as the reflected light began to intensify at the magnification of the reflection. Pride would look down on Mister Sir and enjoy watching him be naked and exposed under the image of Vanity, which should have snuffed out all of his flames once the pressure of the presence of the Mirror Image reflecting his light pressed down on him to suffocate the outrageous flames.

You, who are just now catching up to the finely dressed man, of whom everyone is referring to as 'Greed,' continue to walk under the cover of the Great Darkness, which makes everything over You night, even with the brightness of what seems to be someone burning hotter than the sun. You eventually realize that this is the man that left you at the gate; Mister Sir, and that You've finally caught up to him. He is bursting with energy, that which looks to be something like the fires of hell burning all around his body, making his appearance barely visible. There's something strange about his appearance and his demeanor other than the fact that his upper torso is nearly completely engulfed in flames similar to the ones that were smoldering over the lake nearby, which was Your alert that You had entered the West gate, and a new area altogether.

You dare not step out of the darkness and into the light and get caught in the crossfire, as You see what has just happened to your leader, the Archduke, and the treachery that this finely dressed man, Greed, has done on a whim simply to save himself. You look at him and think of Yourself as you were at the base of the mountain and suddenly, You become deeply troubled and depressed, upset with Yourself that you would almost be something like him, and without even realizing it and also thinking in Your head that it was all justified. Having an up close and personal experience with Greed, even for the short time it was, and watching what he did to his supposed 'comrades' on a whim completely trashed your trust in him, and no matter what he offered You, You were not more than fully aware that, if things got bad, none of the Offerings actually mattered because he would risk Your life, and You would not live long enough ti enjoy the Offerings that he just gave You.

Coming to these conclusions still Your feet, and You no longer move forward, as a group. Your designated leader, the Archduke, was already either completely destroyed or about to be locked in combat and there was nothing that You could do to assist. You want to wait patiently so that You don't get in the way, yet You can't help but feel like You are supposed to be doing something. You start to call on a higher power; the one that was over You before, which was the one that freed you from Lust and saved you from all of your lesser afflictions. "Help us! What do we do now?" You cry out. "Have mercy on us!"

"Fear Not," The Slowth's voice would echo in the darkness for all of them to hear, "I Will Bring Another Leader Out For You That Will Go Out Ahead Of You And Deal With The Opposing Forces." Just as swiftly as these words were said would the darkness part and another unit that was separate from the group of Zero Worlders still under the cover of the darkness, which was like the night to them, would exit from it. This unit, which was also black like the Archduke, would also have a crown atop it, and resembled a Bishop with a larger, more prominent hat with a cross at the top, looking to be a mixture of Bishop and King mixed together as one piece.

"Archdeacon :: Oversight"

The chosen advocate that would be moved on behalf of the Zero Worlders, the Archdeacon, would peer from out of the darkness, but did not separate from the darkness, itself. Instead, the Archdeacon's glowing eyes would stay affixed on the scenario and what the outcome was. The threat level could not be trusted, and the entire area seemed to be a potential hazard or danger zone universally until the fighting stopped. Therefore, the Archdeacon was bit to wait until the flames of Mister Sir's heart died down and it was safe to approach him.

Mister Sir, who was releasing a great deal of flame and light, was blinded by the stunning display and radiance of the reflection he saw in the mirror, which was himself. "GAH!!!" He cried out in pain, having to look his own magniloquence in the eye. His shades, which had been thoroughly broken by the intense beam of light that shot back into his eyes, would fall from his face, shattering all over the ground. His eyes were burnt shut, with light pouring from the seams, something like how Envy's stitched eyes once looked when souls attempted to escape the vessel. "Parlor... Tricks!!!" He shouted, now finding this to be a challenge. He saw many images of himself flash inside of his head, which was, with his eyes closed, now full of light and whiteness instead of pitch darkness, as it was before. Mister Sir, upon his transcendence, would be forced to look deeply inside of himself due to having gazed directly into Vanity's mirror. He saw himself exalted and uplifted, with his name in lights, yet was aware that this was all Pride's projections and not his actual goal to accomplish. "Focus..." he uttered to himself, concentrating hard to see through all the glamour. Even if his eyes were burnt shut for the time being, it was doing him a favor that he didn't have to look at Vanity.

The pressure of the powerful mirror was pressing down on him. Mister Sir could feel Vanity's presence forcing itself upon him, both body and mind, yet in his spirit, he was already aware that all of it was just an image and a projection that Pride, itself, wanted him to fall into. Mister Sir was well aware of how Pride functioned, having worked with each of the Seven Deadly Sins for so very long. Though he, himself, was sometimes weak to them, this time, now that he was no longer on their side, the weaknesses that he once fell into through siding with them disappeared once he decided to turn against them, in all the knowledge he had of their individual weaknesses and flaws. Pride was no different. "I'd Be More Concerned About Your Own Image, Vanity," Mister Sir would say smugly, the fires that spewed from his body suddenly calming down to a simmer. His rage was tempered, and now Vanity had nothing to reflect back at him nor to use against him.

Mister Sir's heat senses were still readily active, and served as a second form of vision for him whilst his eyes were temporarily blinded by the light. Whilst he worked out his inner demons, he felt the pressure of Vanity still pressing down on him, which registered in his head as a large mirror with his own reflection looking at him and portraying a rather gaudy, but filthy image. This meant that Vanity was close, and now, without having to look at him, Mister Sir could sense wherever he would come and immediately flickered out of range, closer to the darkness that Pride hadn't noticed nor neared. Mister Sir sensed something nearby with his heat sensory ability, and though he was unsure of what it was, he could tell by the vibrations that were emanating from this ambiguity that it was not a threat. "... So They Actually Made It..." he muttered to himself, chuckling with what actually seemed to be relief. "I'll Have To Walk Them Through This Part After I've Dealt With Pride..." Mister Sir sought to sense any trace of Greed, but it seemed like, once again, he left someone else to do his dirty work whilst he, himself, slipped off elsewhere. "Disgusting Frog..." Mister Sir grumbled under his breath. It was better to deal with him last, anyway, after he spent all of his money and cut off all of his resources.
