Thirteenth Entry: October 22nd
Today Mr. Abbott dropped a bomb on us. Mrs. Abbott ratted us out. When they were attacked by brutal attacks, she tried to bargain with them. She told them that we were Loyalists so they would not take away her stuff. I lost it after that.
I turned to Mrs. Abbott and began to strangle her. I blamed her for everything. She sold us out. She was the reason we lost our farm, She’s the reason our son died. Mary, Adeline, and Mr. Abbott pulled me off however. They calmed me down and stopped me. Mrs. Abbott simply coughed and ignored me. I wanted to kick her out. I looked at my Flintlock and was tempted to shoot her, but held off. She was not kicked out, but I would hate her forever. Mr Abbott apologized for everything. I would not hear it.
Fourteenth Entry: October 23rd
Mrs. Abbott left last night while we slept and took a break. She took all her clothes, belongings, and half of our food supply. We looked for her but could not find her. She had disappeared, and we had spent a whole day looking for her.
Surprisingly Mr. Abbott did not seem surprised. He revealed to us he had always thought she had married him for his large amounts of wealth. After a long day we gave up. She probably would die out there, good riddance. She brought nothing but strife and grief. Of course, the monster had to take most of the food with her. I was now completely worried about our food situation. I had no idea if we would make it to our destination now.
Fifteenth Entry: October 30th
We ran out of food today. We are getting close to the river though. When we get there I plan to hunt. I hope we will make it. The whole family is in poor spirits. Even I am losing hope. The only one that seems to not have given up hope is Adeline. She is still going strong. To be young again.
