"wow, your room is so pretty!"

That was Riley. It's the weekend now, which means the dreaded slumber party. She noticed my posters.

"What sport is that?"

"Broom racing.""Whoa! Do you play?"

"Oh my goth Riley, are you moronic? You don't play, you race. And yes, I do race."

"Can you teach me?"

This is the part where my mum buts in.

"Of course she can teach you! Circe, go get your broom from shed."

Riley had never ridden a broom before. She really isn't that bad at it, to be honest. Broom racing is my favourite sport in the entire world. That's why I have so many posters in my room of it.

We ate stuffed bats for dinner. Riley must have lived under a rock before moving here, because she had never eaten those either. Witch tea, with "Definitely no milk"(mum said that after Riley checked, for the fourth time), for dessert.

Riley suggested we 'watch a movie' after dinner. I laughed, until I realised that she was serious.

"Riley. When witches get together, they don’t watch movies. They have seances."

And that is how we ended up summoning a demon.
