"Don't remind me...
I'm a chickadee in love with the sky
That's clearly not a lot to crow about
But when the stars silhouette me, I'm scared they'll forget me, and flicker out"
The words leave her lips and are met with silence. Silence and the feeling of something wet in her eyes. Tears, of course. Whenever she speaks her mind, or opens up at all, it always makes her cry, at least a little. Even when she's alone, words like these fill her with a great sadness. Borrowed words, but they still hold truth, nonetheless.
A truth that is truly painful. A truth that the sky is her only friend at times and the ever fading moon is one of few things that gives her comfort. Her fear of the stars and the moon leaving her is well warranted, though. The stars could explode and die, at any moment! And, apparently, the moon is getting farther away. One day it might be gone entirely. What will happen to her, then?
