Aiden felt the electricity wild in his wires as he turned and ran to the back where Violetta slept. They must get out through a back exit of some sort. That robot he saw doesn’t seem that good intent now, does it?
He fiddled the switch at the back of her neck with hurry and urged her to stand up as soon as her eyes blinked open.
“There is someone near, we need to hurry out of here.”, he pulled at her hand. Violetta couldn’t muster a word, still in a boot-up trance.
“Hey! Do you know any other exit?”, Aiden picked up Violetta. He hurried in place as he wanted the answer as soon as possible.
He heard a step on the ground of the factory and froze in place.
“Alright, anyone out there. Get out, I am not planning on hurting you in any way, uhm.”
Violetta awoke in Aiden’s arms. She looked around at the voice before looking at Aiden.
“Weren’t you supposed to guard us?”, she whispered with a disapproving look.
“Hey! Get out!”
A hollow metal noise echoed through the walls. Indicating that someone had hit the wall or floor with a piece of metal.
“Come out before we both get disassembled.”, Violetta urged Aiden.
Aiden looked at her, questionable.
He lowered her down, taking her hand and approaching from behind the wall.
Rita liked this feeling. After all this time, she was in control.
The robot she could feel hiding in the room in front of the exit made her angry. She was in control, but they still didn’t listen.
She was about to step into the room to get things done herself.
“Alright, stop there.”
Fuck.
“We can stop this peacefully. I am sure you came here with that intention.”
Violetta was the first to uncover herself at the sight of the other robot. Adult robot? Violetta guessed, those robots had such a body type.
“Yes, I apologize if I came about too rough.”
Rita let her intentions down and this is what she caused. She still held onto her metal weapon but with a much less of a grip.
“Please get away from the door.”
A weak voice similar of a malfunction cracked from the room she was about to enter.
Rita returned her steps as she watched another robot come out the same way as the female one. The two seemed to be a pair. At least the similar color pattern made them seem as such.
“How many of you are here?”, Rita asked.
“Only three.”
Rita looked at the male, who she recognized from the door, speaking. She lowered her weapon down.
“Thank you.”, the violet-haired robot thanked after she put down her weapon.
“I am Violetta.”
“I am Rita, who is the person in that room?”, Rita took immediate interest.
The two shrugged before a voice replied out of the room. The tone was a scary formal, like someone ordered them to speak instead of asked.
“I am Model 212, sir.”
The voice warped. A whole other formal voice box?
“I am a woman.”, Rita said. A mix of amusement but also sympathy. The thing sounded broken.
“My deepest apologies, miss. I guarantee this will not happen again.”
“I am Model 212, miss.”, the robot repeated. Using the right pronouns this time.
“No need for formality.”, Rita said in a low voice.
“It is my requirement, miss.”
Rita stayed silent. No need to argue with a formal robot.
“Oh, I’m Aiden. I apologize for any surprise I have caused.”, Aiden took this chance to introduce himself.
“It is fine. Hah, I just got a bit scared from a sudden robot in the ruin.”
A low glitch sound emitted from the room before a voice;
“It is a pleasure to meet you Aiden, sir.”
Violetta’s face expressed genuine concern.
“She didn’t sound like this when we got here.”
Rita looked at Violetta with furrowed eyebrows.
“I think you will have to help us if we plan on repairing her if we want her in our group.”
“I don’t mind.”, Rita said as she looked towards the room.
“Repair you say? I can help you with that.”
A robot walked out of the room.
