10 years have passed since I was sitting in that chair at the back of the classroom in front of my defeated enemy. It felt so good so I decided to never open my eyes again forever admiring this feeling.
I get myself a guide dog. I called him Whsitle. I don't know why. I wanted to call him Rex.
We were real soulmates. Whistle was born without third and fourth leg... So am I. Noone could understand his incompleteness as I did. And I did.
I was thinking a lot. About life. About things I've missed, trying to fight the system. If only I could not eat that liver in the kindergarden as I can now...
I remenber how she was looking at me. Patricia... I always thought that I'm too much of a looser to be with her. Guys with nice toys were always around her. And I had nothing but a matchbox half full with mathes. I tried to make a fire on every play time at he yard to have atleast some warmth in my life...
Have I lost her forever...
No! I will find her. Now!
- Whistle, I remember her specific smell! Sence my sences and lead me to her!
And he did.
And now I'm standing here, right in front of her. I hear her voice:
- Who the hell are, you man?..
I tempted so much to open my eyes. To lose the freedom, cause I knew that since the moment I look at her I will be belonging to her for ever. But I wanted so much... Just to see her... Just to admire this fetherless angel...
- Listen, If you won't go right now, I'll...
Oh torture!! What should I do?..
I can open only one eye... Hm...
And so I did.
And then I left.
She was so damn ugly...
- Peter?..
No. I will not turn around.
- Peter Coalbright, is that you?
Damn! I will not!!!
- Wait, come back!
And so I did.
- Why... What... What's wrong with your eye?
- Nothig.
I opened it.
She was beautyfull.
Must have been some distortion, the lack of depth perfection caused by the lack of bynocular vision. I don't know, I'll visit a doctor.
Now, with both my eyes opened, she had no doubt it's me.
- Peter. I always loved you.
- I always loved you too.
So, here's the lesson for you kids: if you love something - look at it with both eyes open. Aa I did.
