Minho:
It had been three shuking weeks since we saw that girl. I hadn’t given up looking for her, but it was getting harder and harder to look for her. My motivation had begun running low. I wanted to find her again so bad to prove that she was real and not just something in my mind. I wanted to meet her again and figure out why she was here, how she got here and who she was.
As we were running the vines on the walls seemed to grow thicker. The wall was covered in the vines so much that it was almost like there wasn’t a wall there at all. Even the sky seemed to darken. I turned the corner almost trampling a body. I stopped in my tracks and looked down. My mouth dropped open and my heart jumped out of my chest.
There was a young woman with dark amber hair. There was a pool of red beneath her head that almost looked like her hair was losing the color from it. She was looking really pale, almost like she was a ghost in an empty body.
“Is that-” I cut him off before we was able to finish, “It’s her. We found her.”
“Do you think that she is dead?” I walked over and checked for a pule. My fingers rested against her cold neck waiting to feel the slightest sign of life. At first nothing, no slight thump, nothing. Then there was one. It was small and almost nonexistent but there was one.
“She is alive but just barely, we need to get her to the Glade fast!” I picked her up bridal style and we started running.
My arms became numb and my legs started to hurt. I never carried so much weight, even if she was light as a feather while running. Ben was ahead of me running full steam for the Glade. He turned the corner and then came back and started shouted at me.
“The doors are closing!” Ben screamed back at me.
I started to sprint running faster and faster. I had to get back to the Glade. I couldn’t let myself get trapped in her and risk the life of this girl. If she died I would blame myself. I pushed myself harder than I ever had before.
I could see the walls clearly now. The doors were closing at a rate that concerned me, but I knew that I would make it I had to. Ben was on the other side shouting at me to hurry up. I could see the boys start to walk over confused what was going on.
Newt was not to fear behind Ben though. He was almost at the doors when I managed to squeeze out. My arm snagged on the closing doors and I dropped the girl and fell myself. We tumble along the ground before rolling to a stop. When I stopped rolling I sat up and saw the boys huddling in a circle. I rubbed the back of my head shaking off the dizziness from the roll and then stood up. I walked over to the group of the boys to see what was going on.
I saw the girl lying on the ground. I mentally punched myself in the face, how could I have forgotten about her? I almost died because of her. Looking at the deathly pale girl between everyone my heart speed up. All the color had left her face and it was hard to believe that she was alive. I saw Jeff push through the guys and drop down next to her placing his fingers on her neck looking or a pulse.
“Guys back up she needs space!” he shouted at the boys.
“Who the bloody hell is that!” said Newt stepping in front of all the boys. He looked around before he spotted me. You could see in his eyes that he knew that we were the cause of all of this ruckus and that we had brought this person here. This was one of those times that they say if looks could kill I would be dead because I would. He looked very angry at me and this time I couldn’t pretend I didn’t know why. “Minho and Ben come with me.”
I followed Newt and he shoved himself through the crowd of boys. I could hear Jeff shouting out directions as I walked off. The boys shouting yes or whispering to each other.
Newt leads us to the Homestead and made us sit down as he interviewed us. He asked about where she came from, and then why we didn’t tell him anything about it. We told him about when we first saw her and what happened. Newt just sat there listening, and nodding. We then told him how we spent the next three weeks looking for her but didn’t find anything. It was almost like she never existed like she was their one day than gone.
Once we had finished Newt just sat there looking at us. He didn’t say a word or even move he just sat there. I began to worry that something bad was going to happen to us for keeping this from him. Finally, he opened his mouth and talked.
“You two are both bloody slintheads.” I let out a sigh of relief, “However you both didn’t tell me or Alby what was going on so I will report to Alby and we will decide what to do with you two.”
“Far enough,” I said understanding
“Get out of here you slintheads.” with that we got up and left. Ben headed off to the map room to record anything that he had found but I went straight to the med-jack hut to check on the girl.
