We meet together in the town square. “I and my family are leaving after this. We need to get somewhere safe.” He nodded understanding my worry. “Ok we will tell the people and then you can leave after you think they understand what is happening and that this has to happen.” I nodded understanding. I just hope that they will leave on their own accord and stay away.

I walked up to the platform to talk about our situation. There was a loud bang that shook the whole village. I knew what was happening. There were guards from another village attacking people who were unarmed and armed. They were killing everyone in sight. I took off running in the direction of the woods. I could hear some of the guards chasing after me.

I was determined to lose their people. I took random turns and hopped fences. I eventually lost them and ran to our meeting place. They were hiding in the tree so that the guards wouldn't see them. I ran and climbed the tree as well. “What is happening?!” Sam asked scared. “We need to go! They broke thru the wall and are killing everyone!” they nodded and we grabbed our bags and ran into the forest.

--------time skip after hours of running-------

We came to a clearing and decided that it would be a good spot to rest and eat something. I set my bag down and started to walk off towards the trees. “Ok, I am getting some firewood. You set up the tent.” they nodded and started to set up camp. I walked into the forest she birds were singing and the breeze cooling. It was so calming. “Wow who knew that it could be so peaceful in one place.” then I thought about the village and how it was attacked. Everything on fire it was sad because they attacked without warning or mercy. I shook my head and continued my search for firewood.

I had a good haul and was heading back when I heard a low growl from behind me. I jumped turning around with my sword ready. It was a wolf and her pups. “Oh, it's just a wolf.” I put my sword away and started to pick up the sticks I dropped. The wolf watched me from a distance sensing I wasn't a threat as long as he didn't attack.

One of his pups came cautiously up to me and sniffed me. It barked at me. I reached down and let it smell my hand. It nestled up against my hand. I looked at the father to see him walking over to me as well. He sniffed me and nestled up against me too. He wagged his tail and followed me around. He and his pups helped me carry my sticks back to camp.

My brother and sister jumped when they saw the wolves following me. They seemed to be afraid of them. “Its ok they are nice.” Darien had a strange expression on his face. He came over and sniffed me. He started to laugh. “Hey sis I think he marked you as theirs.” I tilted my head confused. “What do you mean?”

he laughed even harder. “It means that they made you alpha. You are their alpha now so you can tell them what to do and you go out and hunt with them.” I was still confused. “Ok? So?” He looked at me like I was crazy. I looked at one of the wolves “Alpha.” I was shocked. “W-what!?” I fainted. “Sis?!” As I fell I landed on something furry.

-------Darien's p.o.v.-----------

I was explaining to Yuko that they wanted her to be their leader. she was shocked. “W-what!?” she had fainted before I could answer her. “Sis?!” one of the wolfs ran and caught her. Before she hit the ground. With their help, I dragged her into the tent and laid her on the bed we had. The wolves came in and laid up against her to keep her warm.

One of the wolfs walked up to me and started to shoo me out of the tent. “Be good to her will you.” the wolf shook as if understanding. I smiled and walked out. Sam was sitting by the fire. “What are you doing?” she looked up. “Just thinking about how or where we are going to live now.” I understand the feeling she was having. “I know it is going to be hard to get used to things now.”

-------------------------------Yuko p.o.v.----------------------------

I felt warm. I tried to move but there was something holding me down. I open my eyes to see all the wolfs laying on or around me. I looked around to see Darien and Sam still asleep. I was still worried about this mate thing. I hear someone say something. “Oh, guys she is up.” I look around trying to find the source. I make eye contact with one of the wolfs. “Are you alright alpha?”

I was sure I was going insane. “Are you talking?” the wolf nodded. “Yes I can talk but the others can't hear me.” he motioned over to Darien and Sam. “Oh, gotcha.” “We are glad you are ok. We were worried.” He walked over to me and nuzzled into my neck. I blushed. I was still confused. “I was wondering why you chose me to be your guyses alpha.”

He sat down and looked at me. “You have the purest heart of everyone we have met. We wanted a strong kind alpha.” I sat up and the other wolf rolled off of me. I got up and stretched. “Want to go on a run with me?” He and some others perked up. “Ya, that would be awesome.” I ground. “Some of you need to stay behind to watch camp. There are bandits out here.” some nodded and got up to patrol outside.

I walked into the woods and changed into my wolf form. Some of the wolves were amazed at how I looked. I loved this form. I started my walk. “Hey alpha race me.” I grinned. “Oh your on but I should warn you I'm really fast.” he shook his head. “Then it is a challenge.” the others heard and came over to join in the fun. “Ok, we are going one mile. The first one back here wins. ”

I counted down. “Ready… Set… Go!” I took off with the group and was ahead by twenty paw steps of everyone else. Their there other wolfs ready to say who the winner was. I saw the finish line. I slowed down to let one of the others catch up to me. He was breathing harder than me. I took first the others looked a little out of breath. “Ok, I think we should head back to camp. We have to find a village today.” they agreed and we started to walk back.

I stopped seeing a deer. I turned into my human form and pulled out my bow. I am and released. I hit the deer in the head. We walked over and grabbed the deer carrying it back to camp. I got the first choice of the deer since I killed it. I took enough for me and my siblings. Then the others split up the rest and ate their portions. I walked into the tent and woke up Darien and Sam. They got dressed and cooked their food and packed up.
