Allura calls them back but instead to the lounge. Shiro gets there first followed by Pidge, Hunk, and lastly Keith.

Allura nods at Coran and he nods back, handing her a beat up looking book of some sort. Like...a journal or something. And that is exactly what it was:a journal.

Keith speaks up, interrupting Shiro from speaking, and says,"Okay Allura and Coran, tell us what 'that' is or what 'that' was."

Allura sighs,"Okay. I will tell you. But first, can you guess what this is?" She holds up the journal.

Pidge speaks, pushes her glasses back and says,"It's a journal. A journal that looks to be at least 30,000 years old."

Allura smiles,"Correct. Except it's actually 39,987 years old. But good guess. And yes it is a journal. But not just any journal. This here is the old paladins' journal."

Everyone gasps at how old the journal was. Well, except Coran. He knew how old it was. Then they process this information.

Hunk holds his hands up in front of him, turning his head to the side,"Wait, wait, wait, So you're telling me this journal is the old paladins' journal?!" He turns his head back looking in disbelief.

Coran and Allura nod. "Correct."

Keith speaks up, exasperated,"Okay but what does this have to do with the old paladins' journal?" He crosses his arms.

Pidge says curiously,"Yeah, what does a journal have to do with Lance??"

Coran tsks,"Ah, indeed. But what doesn't it have to do with Lance?" He quirks a brow.

Pidge says,"Uh, everything?"

Coran laughs. "Actually, this journal is the key to why Lance was and is acting like he did or is acting."

Pidge raises a brow in question. "But how is what we would like to know."

Hunk and Keith nod in agreement. Shiro speaks up,"Yeah, how does Lance acting like how he was connect to the old paladins' journal?"

Allura sighs,"You know how Zarkon was corrupted by quintessence?"

Everyone: Yes

Allura says nervously,"Welll, let's just say, Lance is kinda being corrupted."

Hunk:Wait, what?!

Keith actually uncrosses his arms from shock. Shiro looks wide eyed, Pidge is just sitting there with her mouth hanging open. Pidge holds her hands up in front of her face like Hunk did a minute ago and says,"Wait, hold up. Did you just say that Lance was being corrupted?! But how?!"

Allura sighs and turns her head to Coran, asking him for him to talk, showing the question on her face. Coran nods slightly back and walks over to stand in front of the paladins'. He grabs a hold of the journal when Allura hands it to him and says,"Lance is being corrupted kinda like how Zarkon was and this journal has Zarkon's entries that he had written before and during his corruption. We can read it and find out when it started, how long it took to start, and how he changed during it. But what Lance is being corrupted by, we aren't sure." He shrugs, grim faced, because he doesn't know what is making Lance, who was/is like a son to him, act that way.

Everyone is shocked by this information. Then are intrigued by what the journal could contain. Then grim faced because even Coran and Allura doesn't know what is corrupting their friend.

Pidge walks up and grabs the journal from Coran's hands and flips it open, pages flipping away as she reads some of it quickly. "Okay, me and Hunk can take care of the journal while you guys find out from other ways, using the books from the library and" She flips the book shut and waves it a bit. "can wait for Lance or make sure he doesn't fall out of the pod when he comes to. Or" She shrugs. "You can train." She smirks. "Or you can join me and Hunk in looking at this here journal."

Hunk looks nervous, because what would they find in the journal? What if it was dangerous or-or- His thoughts are interrupted by Shiro, raising a hand. "We're in. Right, guys?"

Keith simply nods. Allura and Coran just smile because they wouldn't be doing it alone. And because, team bonding!~ Hunk just sheepishly raises his hand a bit.

Shiro looks back at Pidge, smirking a bit,"Okay. Now let's go get our friend back."
