At first it was nothing

Then it was pain.

Extreme pain.

Like my entire body was being squeezed through a tiny, tiny tube.

Then there was light.

No, I wasn't being born.

I was being awakened.

When demons aren't being summoned, they are in a pit of darkness. Almost eternal darkness. Then, when we are summoned, it is like being woken from a long, dreamless sleep.

And I am not a morning person.
