I was downstairs eating dinner and I couldn't stop thinking about it until the doorbell rang. I got up and answered the door seeing a mailman with the animal features of a deer. "I'm looking for Maria Harrison," He said. "I'm right here" The mailman gave me the letter and shut the door behind him. "Hello there Maria" I turned around and hid the letter, running to my room locking the door behind me.

I opened the envelope and took out the letter; I started to read it.

Dearest Maria, 

You are officially invited to Lilac Highschool! Although this isn't your average high school, only people who are half animal get accepted or recommended to this school. In this school, we will treat you like your in a safe and happy home. Food, water, a room with a roommate, some cash, and a scholarship will be given to you when you come to the campus. Hope to see you here at eight in the morning!

I brought out my suitcase and starting packing. Clothes, essentials, my book, my teddy bear, and everything I need to get for this campus. I set my suitcase next to the window and waited till eight in the morning.

-Morning-

I woke up at six, took a shower, ate a snack that I kept in my room which was an oatmeal cookie, and got dressed and ready to meet Katelyn. How am I gonna do this without being caught? Let's see the guard is a heavy sleeper, but with the butler and Miss Harrison, it depends. I picked up my suitcase and put on my backpack with the school supplies I would have had for normal school also known as home school and snuck downstairs without making a sound.

I went outside after closing the door and ran to Katelyn's place which was next door. I knocked on her door and a lady answered. "Why hello, how may I help you?" She asked. "Hi! Katelyn was gonna show me to Lilac high" She yelled for Katelyn and she came down. "Love ya mom" said Katelyn. "Love you too my little Raven" Katelyn laughed at what her mom called her, and her mom closed the door behind her. "Ready?" Katelyn walked to the bus stop with Me. I can tell this was gonna be an amazing year.
