Claire looked alarmed and took a step back. The sailor? chuckled.

"Don't worry, I'm a stowaway too."

"Oh.....how did you know?"

"I've been studying these merchants for a week and this is the first time I've been graced with your presents."

"You are quite savvy with women, perhaps you can help me with a dilemma?"

"Oh? I'm all ears!"

They move to the front of the ship to speak and have a better view of the vast blue.

"I have a marriage proposal from an anonymous suitor, from a different country and he's been sending me letters."

"Accept it or not, if he's not serious then you don't take him seriously."

"I don't know much about him, so I can't say I love him."

"Let me guess, some rich guy fancy's you?"

"You're going to see him?"

"I was, but then an old enemy of mine kind of tricked me."

"Ah, you're on the run."

"Yep."
