The Lawless Land; Valparaiso

Valparaiso Chapter 3; Sudden Death

Valparaiso Chapter 3; Sudden Death

Dec 27, 2018

A foreboding presence loomed over the blood-drenched land of Rue, the Warrior's Wasteland, which was as far as the eye could see, and then some. The blood suddenly soaked into the the ground, further extending its reddish tint, and even darkening a shade. "Over Here, Sir." Thanytoz, who had recently been interrupted from his duties around the Veritas by a belligerent roguish man, pointed his finger, beckoning the boy childishly. "Yes, You. Ass." All blood-stained bones dried up on the spot, and became brittle enough to break as soon as he revealed himself. "Death Approaches." Though Thanytoz had much important business to attend to in the Veritas, of which he already completed some of prior to his arrival back at the Forbidden Hotel that he escorted the ruffian from out of, it seemed like there was no end to his being dragged about to and fro. Just another check off of his long list of things to do as a businessman.

"Yeah, I thought I heard something," the Otherworlder who had been causing problems in the Forbidden Hotel and been escorted out said arrogantly, raising a hand up to his ear as if listening to some words pass by, and a smug grin ever perked up on one side of his face. "Though that must have been my imagination, since I don't see anybody or anything else on my tail or anything." He chuckled at his own smart remark, priding himself greatly on it, and ready to dish out more to the one that called him out. "You're lucky I've been bored, and I didn't think beating up on a kid right now would be fun. Maybe after I finish with you, though. Heh." He cracked his knuckles, ready to stand face to face with this 'O Mighty Death' that was apparently approaching him. "Anything else coming, or are we done being Captain Obvious?"

After the last few words about 'Nothing Tailing Behind Him' would he see the tail of a bolt of lightning out of the corner of his eye, having just missed his head seemingly intentionally.

"Check It Again," a grim voice whispered into his ear from behind him in the brief moment of darkness that came behind every flash of lightning when it illuminated a body. "You Missed The Part Where You Actually Turn To Look." It was apparently that not for a second that this man had looked over his shoulder, as if he shouldn't have at that point after legitimately having not apologized for his disturbance in the 'Forbidden Hotel,' which was 'Forbidden' for a reason. "Every Hinge Out Of Place Is How I Will Unhinge Your Jaw, I Do Hope You Realize." Thanytoz, standing behind the Otherworlder instantaneously would leave his line of sight literally just as quickly as the bolt of lightning had shot past his head. Every moment his shadow rotated around the sight of his head, a blaring red eye would be glaring at him, cutting at his neck like a sharp edge. The pressure was literally so thick, just looking at his neck would draw blood, all the way around his head. Just to show how quickly he could have already been dead. The God of Darkness stood with his arms crossed and his fingers clenched tightly, driven deeply into either of his arms. It almost seemed like he wanted to start tapping his foot.

The energy readings of the lightning could be sensed by the Otherworlder as the bolt of lightning passed by, and long before the boy even knew he was being traced. He picked up on every speck of energy that rotated around him, standing unfazed by any of the spectacular theatrics of it all. "Nice light show," he said without breaking face once, "Done playing around, or are you gonna buy me dinner?" This Otherworlder seemed as though he wouldn't just haphazardly throw out an attack, no matter what was going on. Instead, he chuckled once, maybe twice, feeling something itch at his neck, or something.

"I Actually Seriously Don't Have Time For This, You Know," Thanytoz would say, hurling his dark robe over the Otherworlder's head suddenly, in one swift motion, with his hand covered by the darkness of his robe's shadow. What was under it; an window to another realm unknown, where there looked to be a great deal of lifeless vessels sitting in the corners of a very dark room, save but the single light of what might have been a window similar to the one hurled over his head. "I Have A Stand-Up Business To Run, And If You Break Any Part Of It, You're Going To Pay For It." The length of the robe extended as far as the darkness of the peripherals of the Otherworlder's head behind him. He could sense as much power as he liked, and all of it would be wrapped in the darkness of everything behind him about to sweep him away all in one swift motion over the top of his head; right just about the brow, if not just a bit over his head, and certainly on purpose, no doubt.

Some Valparaiso Denizens came to watch the fight.

When

Some Valparaiso Denizens came to watch the fight.

*FLASH*

They would 'See' the flash of lightning pass them by.

Then

Anything That Is Struck That Is Not Consciously Or Mentally Prepared Will Be Struck Dead.

"The lightning they saw would strike down all across Valparaiso, striking a great deal of people, Denizen and Otherworlder alike, who would all be zapped and charged with the same electrical surge and frequency all at the same time."

An Intense Pressure Weighed Heavily On The Entire Area As The Valparaiso Denizen Was Struck Dead On The Spot.

Beyond the natural Denizens of Valparaiso that lingered and loomed about the bloodstained wasteland flats of Rue, the Warrior's Wasteland, the Intensei (who were foreigners at the time) that had turned into lightning by the grace of the Raigami to clearly pass over the River of Death would suddenly enter the Warrior's Wasteland. Since they had the power to change into lightning and pure electricity, they went ahead of the group so that they could get on a different level, but not where they would be directly interacting with anyone or anything else. They just wanted to touch a different ground, and be out of whatever they were in before -- in Hell.

All the Intensei that had crossed over the 'River Of Death' unattended passed over a border of darkness that they were not aware of as they traveled, and that darkness would convert their 'lightning' into 'Shadow Lightning,' which would sacrifice the Intensei, killing them instantly, and converting all of their particles into the darkness of the 'Shadow Lightning,' itself. It formed a tremendous and terrible, seeming cackling face in the atmosphere as it shot over the land, glaring down at the Valparaiso Denizens and all of Valparaiso as it shot across the sky.

When the Valparaiso saw this nasty face, as well as their own brethren evacuating the city, they, too, would turn tail and flee.

"Guess Hobo Joe warned the fellas." They did not hesitate to not pick up the one that died, especially since the others didn't want to, either. "Looks like Grifty McGoo isn't coming home to his daughter tonight," one of them said with a defiant sneer, not hesitating at the chance to spit at the ones that did it and the body, just because he died like a little bitch instead of took that lightning bolt to the chest like a man. "She didn't want him to come home, anyway."

They high tailed it out of there and back into the darkness of the flash mob hidden under the cover of the night.

During All Of The Commotion, Those Who Caused This Calamity Of Lightning And Darkness -- Tsao-Rin The King Keaton And Tabitha The Arachnegon -- Made Their Presence In The Eternal Battlefield Of The 'Warrior's Wasteland' As Pure Energetic Presences Of Their Respective Elemental Affinity; Lightning And Darkness. Once Both Challengers; Tsao And Tabitha, Had Entered The Area And Were Both Present, The Two Forces Could Clash As They Saw Fit In Combat, Just As Those In The Area Were Doing.

The Otherworlder who faced Thanytoz did not flinch.

He chuckled. "You sent an army?" The Otherworlder flickered up into the air instantaneously, still having not looked back once. "That's like sending a BOY." He even closed his eyes, hovering over the oncoming group flooding from the city. "So basically, you sent a BOY to fight a GROWN ASS MAN."

His smirk had not fled from his lips.

"Don't send a BOY, send a GROWN ASS MAN." His hand was raised up to the colony, both, in fact, to show the sheer and utter intent behind the complete obliteration of all of them in one shot.

There was a final flash and the entire planet exploded once it was hit with the brightness of the beam of light hitting the ground, the Otherworlder standing in the midst of the capabilities of his own destructive spirit and the energy to sustain it. Then, he smiled.

The darkness that was already wrapped around the entirety of Valparaiso would, like a vampire, drain the energy of the light as it traveled from its source, significantly weakening its effect and hampering its force long before it could even touch the ground. What might have been able to destroy a defenseless desolate world would suddenly be siphoned down to ambiguous light, with a greater darkness than what there once was at the back of the Otherworlder before.

To him, it should have looked like his vision was fading along with the light of his flashy attack. By the time it was even able to cut through the darkness in the air, it would have been only the size of his palms, and the equivalence of light converted into darkness would match what would have been a destroyed planet, and also a wasted light, which was why it now belonged to the darkness. "Nice Try," the Owner would say sternly, with sharp eyes cutting the darkness from the exact spot where the beam would be set to hit, and a thin red light piercing from his own eyes shooting out to meet with and slice through the weakened blast. "But I Told You To Look Back For Your Own Safety Because Of A Threat, Not As A Threat, Itself." Often, the proud had an issue with taking advice, even in places where they knew nothing of what was nor what could be.

Once the playing field was appropriated to a confining proportion, to keep this simian in his place and not destroy public property that might be publicly in use, the rest would be turned over to the Owner's daughter, "Tabitha," who was the Goddess of Darkness, and always rested somewhere within it. "Daddy Understands That You Have Some Sort Of Game Going On Here, Dearest, So Be Sure To Play Nice And Pick Up All Your Toys When You're Done." He could see Tabitha's set up and her intent from a mile away, and would leave her to it, since she seemed eager to enjoy herself.

"Back To Work," the Owner said with great restraint, as if to himself, which clearly applied to everything attached to what he was working on. The rest would be left to the darkness, itself, as would his own disappearance with the closing of his eyes and turning of his head.

The Owner's presence faded. All that was left was the darkness that covered the land and isolated the field.

"Thank You, Daddy," were the first words that came from out of the darkness, since she knew that, whatever was going on, he could have easily just dealt with it himself instead of allowing his daughter to do so for him. "You're Too Kind..." Her voice bellowed like a fiery furnace, the sound of which quaked the ground with the force of thunder. A deep suppression was felt over the land. Something ominous, but forthcoming, and growing ever more pressure as it rested, the longer it did.

Tabitha's face drew closer to them, soon, and they would be able to see it poked out of the dark clouds that had encircled the entire land. She drew her face back, and the darkness faded.

Everything seemed normal after that.

"The Game Rules Still Apply," the voice of the planet would alert the ones that could hear, since some people could not hear the planet, itself, when it spoke. "That Means, The Faceoff That Happens Is Also With The Planet." Tabitha had already assimilated with the planet by ascending into her 8th Restriction form immediately.

The 6th Arm of Tabrith that had branched out over the 7th Moon would converge at the target point prepared to end the 'Clean Sweep' in one swift motion, promptly and efficiently. "Rule Three Also Still Applies." There was suddenly a firm grasp upon the 7th Moon itself, resting right on Valparaiso, the desolate side of the Empyrean Island. As it tightened, the ground cracked under the pressure, like gravity suddenly intensifying, and a powerful suppression bearing upon the land covered in darkness.

Tension surged through Tina's palm as she grasped the 7th Moon of the Veritas, charging the air with 'Tension' as well.

The air crackled with 'Tension,' and the image of the Dark Wolf, a powerful Spirit Animal Guardian of the Veritas, could be seen as an outline in each electrical current surging through the sky as a great negative pressure was applied to the surface of the area they were in. The waves of such a tumultuous intensity would diffuse across and under the surface of the ground, sending trace amounts of vibratory currents all throughout the terrain.

The Dark Wolf surged through each of the vibrations, moving at different speeds, and therefore also being different colors during their trek over the Lawless Land. They knew what was coming, as well as where to go.

There was a powerful strain that came from the 'Tension' which would apply 'Paralysis' with prolonged exposure, that of which could permanently damage some nerve receptors.

Because it was clear that his daughter, Tina, wanted to have a battle with her old man through Tabitha, in the Lawless Land, with only the 4 Rules that Grand Tabritha had placed upon them, Tsao would ascend on the spot from his 6th Restriction form to his 8th Restriction form, which dealt with dealing with the Planets and the Universes, and was substantially equivocated to Tina's own general level simply by the two of them being on the same playing field.

A crystalline bolt of the 'Crystal Spark' shot down from the heavens and struck right in front of the Otherworlder that was challenging the Veritas as a Planet and as a Universe, and Overlord Tensei, ruler of the Veritas Universe would stand before him as a translucent crackling plasmatic energy.

"Actually, I Sent A GIRL."

Tensei chuckled.

"To Fight A Grown Ass Man."

His hands were in his pockets, and a somewhat smug grin of sheer anticipation was on his face.

"You Should Turn Around Now."

Overlord Tensei was standing right behind the Otherworlder, now, rather than right in front of his face.
