"Get the humans out and above ground, get your people and move them all out." The doctor was giving orders while still holding Belle. The little girl hadn't let go of her hand since they had closed the door from the monster. The doctor looked back and water was coming in from the door but no more bashing sounds; the beast must have left for now. The doctor looked forward and seen the Silurian's letting the humans out of their bunkers. They all formed a line and headed towards the surface; but he knew it wasn't fast enough. He looked down and his feet were already submerged in water. "They need to go faster; at this rate we'll all be dead." Belle looked up and loosened her grip on the doctor; standing on her own she slowly walked forward to the human; her own race enslaved in the future. They all looked at her and then down to the little girl that still had not let go of her. "You all know of what lurks below us; well you don't have to fear them in the water anymore. No, you have to fear them coming above now. They're coming; and you all need to put a little more pep in your step unless you want to..." Belle keeled over and started coughing up blood. The doctor came up from behind her fast in the blink of an eye and helped her walk; keeping pace with the rest of the people. They all heard another big bang and the water started coming even faster; the doctor looked ahead. "Hurry; there's not much time!" They all started to panic and race ahead. The doctor looked back at Vastra who had stayed behind to help the rest of the humans out. She nodded at him and motioned him to hurry on his way.

They soon all reached the surface but the least of their troubles was only behind them. Now they had to deal with much more on the surface. The king got wind of the humans coming above and sent his men to intervene. The doctor stood before them tall and strong as Vastra held Belle up to the side. The doctor looked at the soldiers and held his hand out to halt them. They obeyed; but ordered him to move. When the doctor refused; he gave reasoning, "You king is leading you down the wrong path; I understand he is your king and that you'd do anything to keep him alive, but innocent people should not have to die. Children, women and men; all a vital part of this world, a world you came to live one and they accepted you. So what do you do; you betray them, and enslave them. I will speak to the king; but first I'm going to save my friend; who almost died doing your dirty work. These people are to be freed; and if I hear otherwise you will have to answer to me." They Silurian's all looked at each other and then to Vastra who nodded in agreement. They let the people and the doctor by; the T.A.R.D.I.S had been moved to a main area nearby. They rushed Belle in and tended to her wounds immediately.

Belle woke with a pain still in her side; she looked around and seen she was in the T.A.R.D.I.S, but the doctor was nowhere in sight. She slowly got up and made her way over to the doors, when she opened them it was the town again. This time it flourished with aliens and humans. "He did it; that cheeky man, he saved us all again." She smiled as she looked around at the new earth. The year 3000 couldn't look any better, and everyone looked happy. "Actually, you saved them. If it wasn't for you I would never have noticed anything wrong; and if you wouldn't have gotten hurt I wouldn't have had the fire inside me to fight with the king. Silurian's; very scary creatures, don't let them know I said that though." Belle looked over at the doctor who was leaning against the police box. She smiled when she seen him, he was truly something. He stood up and walked over to in front of her. "I know someone who would like to see you right now." He held out his hand and she took it letting him lead the way to wherever. After a few minute walk they reached their destination and Belle smiled at the little girl sitting with a man and a women. When the little girl seen her she rushed over and hugged Belle. "Hey sweetie pie are those your parents?" Belle motioned over to the parents that waved and smiled. The little girl nodded her head and as she did the parents made their way over to them. The doctor must have already known them, "Belle, this is Mister and Misses Peak and the little girl is Anya." Belle looked down to the smiling girl and then up to the parents. "I'm Bella Washburn; you can call Belle though. I'm so glad you guys are ok; I was worried Anya wouldn't have anyone to see when this was all over with. She's a beautiful little girl, she's been so wonderful." The parents smiled down to their child; so much love in their eyes as Bella could see. "She hasn't spoken since this all happened, but we hope we get to go back to the way it was." Belle nodded; it was true they went through a lot and it was going to take so much to get back to their old life, but it wasn't impossible. She hugged the little girl one more time before heading back with the doctor. The parents thanked her once again for finding Anya and then took her back to where they were at. Belle could almost not hear it, "Bella!" She turned around and it was the little girl, she had a necklace in her hand but that wasn't what Belle had been amazing with, it was the little angels voice. Her voice was so sweet and innocent. She smiled and leaned down slowly, the pain in her side still there. The little girl gave her the necklace and hugged her once more; the little girl running back to her parents once more. The doctor stood by the blue box and looked at her with a wide smile on his face. "How are you feeling?" She looked up at him and frowned for a second; worrying him, but then she thought about it and smiled. "Amazing; I mean, we just saved the human race! Does it always feel like this?" It was the doctor who frowned now; Belle looked at him curiously. "No it doesn't; not everyone gets to live, and I can't always save the world." She looked up at him and seen it again; that hurt, from the weight of the world. The oldness in his eye's that doesn't go with the young look on his face. She walked up to the doctor and gave him a huge hug. "You do wonders for the world; you do more than anyone, don't ever think that's not good enough." She pulled back and looked him in the eyes; he looked from her eyes to her lips, when he leaned in Belle panicked and turned her head so he kissed her cheek. Before she could look at him she ran inside the T.A.R.D.I.S, the doctor soon behind and starting it up. "So doctor; can I ask you a question?" He didn't look up but he nodded. "How did you get the king to let the humans go?" The doctor looked up now and had to think about his answer before answering her. "It's me; what do you think I did? I told them the law and they obliged by it because they want to continue to live here. This planet is wonderful; it's a place of peace, but it's also a place of many wars. It's perfect for anyone; it's a place of hope and new beginnings." He looked at her and seen her face soften; he knew what words would make her feel better. "Where do you want to go now?" He started back at the controls but she didn't answer. He got curious so he looked back to her; she had her hands folded and a smirk on her face. "On more question doc." He waited for her to ask, "I wasn't wearing this when I got hurt; any idea how I got changed?" The doctor's face began to go red; his ears steaming as he looked at her. "Well you see...." She held up her hand and walked towards the control panel where he was at. "No more; that's all I had to hear." She laughed as his face was still red.

Belle had the best time of her life here; she reached for her pocket to get her journal when she realized she had left it. Tears began in her eyes; the doctor seen her and grew worried. "Belle what's wrong?" Belle was still crying when she looked at him; her whole life was in that journal. "It's gone; I left it back with my clothes...." The doctor jumped up and ran out of the room. When he came back he had his hand behind his back and Belle was still upset. He stood behind her and places the journal in front of her. Her eyes grew wide and she turned around to face the doctor. She threw her arms around his neck and hugged him tight. She was inches from his face once again; but this time she leaned in and kissed him. It wasn't a long kiss, but it meant something to the both of them. They felt it; and that's all that mattered. When she pulled back and went to her note book the doctor went to the controls and started up the T.A.R.D.I.S. "Where we going now doctor?" He looked up at her and smiled before pulling the last lever. "To my favorite coffee shop in Manhattan."
