He Made All Her Stories Come Alive

Stare Down

Stare Down

Jan 28, 2019

Frustrated Belle falls to her knees and screams in her hands. He planned this; he knew he wasn't coming down those stairs with me. Brilliant man always feels the need to sacrifice himself for the whole world. She would have willingly stood and fought with him. He's obviously faced these creatures before and survived. She stops and calms down to think for a minute. They can only move when someone isn't looking at them; no not someone, anything, it's a quantum lock on sight. What would happen if the statue had a mirror in front of it? Belle thought back to a movie she had watched with Medusa in it. No one could look at her so they used mirrors to see around her. It was then they realized a mirror could defeat her. Using the mirror they were able to make her look at herself and turn herself to stone. Belle smiled as she came up with a plan. She looked back the way she came and knew what she had to do.

The doctor kept his eyes on the statue; as long as he looked at it they couldn't move. Belle should have been far away by now; he starts to slowly walk down the stairs backwards but is interrupted by a sound coming from behind him. He can tell it's an angel because of the stone sound it makes coming up the stairs. He rushes into a nearby room and closes the door locking it and putting a dresser in front of the door and then pacing back and forth in the room. He stops all of a sudden and looks at the window smiling to himself. She was nowhere in sight, which means she got out and far away. He felt relieved now and began pacing again trying to think of a way out. Pounding at the door brought him out of his train of thought. The statues were trying to break in; he needed to think fast and clever. There are plenty of windows; the option of jumping and hoping to make it to the T.A.R.D.I.S in one piece is still there. Then there's hiding, I could try to wait them out but they're smarter than that. All of a sudden he notices the noise stopped. He walks towards the door but then it starts up again, louder but not the same. He looks confused but then the door bust open and ready to use his sonic screwdriver he prepares to fight. Before he can do anything he was embraced in a warm hug and his whole body goes soft. It was Belle; he hugs her back and then looks behind her. All the angels were facing one big mirror. "Where did you get the mirror?" She laughs and looks back at her handy work. "You'd be surprised what you can find in Manhattan doctor." He hugs her one more time before going out to see it all closer. He looks at the scene as if analyzing what had happened; he starts smiling but then frowns when he realizes something devastating. He pulls her hands from behind her back and looks at them. They're all cut up and bleeding. "That glass is all broken and you just carried it up twelve flights of stairs. Why would you do that; why would you risk not only hurting yourself but risk being touched by another angel." She looked at him hurt by his words; she hadn't thought why she has only thought of him. She was doing what he always did, putting everyone else in front of his own being. "Same reason why you would do it for me or anyone else, because it was the right thing to do doctor. Sorry if I'm a disappointment." She turns and runs down the stairwell. When she gets out the hotel she hits the palm of her hands on the side of the building making the pain even worse. She screams in pain and then looks down at her hands. The doctor came from behind her and looks at her. "You're a lot of things Bella, but you will never be disappointing. You just did something that even I would never have thought to do at that second." She looks up and through the tears smiles. She was glad that she had gotten into the T.A.R.D.I.S the day the doctor found her. She ran up to him and threw her hands around his neck to give him a kiss. He wraps his hands around her waist and pulls her closer. "What does this mean doctor?" He puts his head against her forehead smiling down to Belle. "This means it's time for another adventure Bella Washburn." And with that he grabbed her hand and to the T.A.R.D.I.S they went.

Think. Back to your first fandom. The first time you picked up a book and fell in love with a character. How you’d give anything for them to be real, how you’d do anything for them to come to life. And everyone who isn’t into fandoms would look at you crazy, because you’d talk about someone like they were really real. Well, that’s me, Belle Washburn, I’m a typical nerd. Parents who don’t understand and friends who aren’t into the same things. My fandom is a mad man in a blue box, his name…no one knows, but they call him, The Doctor.

Fanfic, i do not own any rights to doctor who besides my OC character.
