"So, Coran? What is it you have to tell us?"

Coran clears his throat. "Well, it appears that maybe we are not the last Alteans like we had first thought."

Coran has everyone's attention now.

Lance actually sits up straight. "Wait, wait. I'm Altean?! Coran, explain."

Coran walks over to some controls, taps some buttons, and the information he was reading earlier pops up. "From this information here, yes. Yes, Lance, you are actually quarter Altean. Not half and not all but quarter Altean."

Keith's eyes widen. "Wait, so kinda like how I'm half but he's quarter Altean and not Galran?"

"Well, Yes, actually. Kinda like you. But I do not know where he got it from. His parents are human, as far as I can tell, and his whole family is human. So unless they are not his real parents/family, then I do not know how to explain where his Altean genes came from."

Lance is too preoccupied in processing the information instead of talking. So Pidge speaks up. "Wait so Lance is adopted?"

"If you mean has different parents, then yes. I believe so. Lance is adopted."

Keith puts his hands up, confused. "Wait, wait, if Lance is adopted then how come he looks so much like his not-actual-family? That doesn't make sense."

"Yeah, Coran. That doesn't make sense." Pipes up Pidge.

Coran doesn't kmow the answer so he goes back to pushing buttons and some other thing pops up. "This here is whose blood, the Altean part of Lance, that matches up to King Alfor's and Allura's blood, which is very weird. Because how would that even be possible? I mean unless....But that cannot be!"

Allura speaks up, her voice shaking a bit. "Wait, you don't mean...Coran, are you thinking what I am thinking?"

Coran nods sadly. "Yes, Princess, I am thinking about what you are thinking."

Keith, Pidge, Hunk, and Lance say,"What are you talking about, Coran, Allura?"

Shiro finally speaks up. "What is it, Coran and Allura?"

Hunk says, worried."Is it something bad...?"

Coran laughs, but it was half-heartedly. "No, my dear paladin. Nothing bad. Just something a little..sad. Right, Allura?" He turns towards her.

"Yeah. Something sad." She says. Then a tear escapes her.

"Oh Allura..." Coran says as he hugs her, trying to console her.

"What is sad?" Lance says.

"Oh Lance, don't worry. We will tell you. Just let us get ourselves together, yes?" Allura says, in between Coran's arms.

"Okay."
