"I love you, mom. I love you, mom. I love you, mom. I love you, mom. I love you, mom. I love you, mom. I love you, mom. I love you, mom. I love you, mom. I love you, mom. I love you, mom. I love you, mom. I love you, mom. I love you, mom. I love you, mom. I love you, mom. I love you, mom. I love you, mom. I love you, mom. I love you, mom. I love you, mom. I love you, mom. I love you, mom. I love you, mom. I love you, mom. I love you, mom. I love you, mom. I love you, mom. I love you, mom. I love you, mom." Over and over, that thought repeats over and over; again and again.
(That was repeating all around me, while I looked, ran, and cried)
I'm running, running, running, still looking, looking, looking. I still can't find it. Running to places. Looking, looking, looking. I arrive in my room but it was darker than it usually was. Orange light seeping through, looking like a fire. I scooch, scooch, scooch, under my bed. Someone comes up my stairs, walking, looking, and the stairs creaking with their weight.
It was...my mom.
She had a paper and was yelling at me saying,"A C! How could you get a C of all things?!" She keeps, on yelling, shouting, shrieking the words at the end, drifting closer to me.
I was scared, terrified, horrified, and overall, scared.I needed to get out of there. I need to find what I am looking for. I really need it now.
I start crying even more, big, fat tears rolling down my face, covering my mouth with my hand so whatever she was couldn't hear my crying. She keeps on coming, shrieking those words, every few steps.
And the worst part is, I knew she was disappointed.
She was disappointed in me.
