Alpha- Rank of Were or Vampire who is considered the leader of the pack, pride or conclave. Alphas can be chosen through kinship ties, but most times are chosen through challenges between Betas or Cappas and the previous Alpha. The Alpha’s duties are to insure the safety, health and financial stability of the pack, pride and conclave as a whole. They work closely with Betas, Cappas, and Deltas to do so, though most Alphas strive to know each of their members, even Thetas, by name and scent.

Beta- Rank of Were or Vampire who are the second in command of the pack, pride or conclave, often specifically overseeing the Cappas training and duties to insure the safety of the pack. Though they can challenge the Alpha, they often instead form strong bonds to the reining Alpha. A Beta is never able to be chosen based on kinship unless the individual is the younger sibling of a newly championed Alpha, though even still they can be challenged by lower ranks for the position.

Cappa- Rank of Were or Vampire that are considered the warriors or protectors of the pack, pride or conclave. While they can eventually challenge for Beta or Alpha, unless they feel compelled to do so, Cappas tend to work closely with the Beta and Alpha towards the security of the pack. They can often act as enforcers of their group’s laws and rules. They are the most likely rank to work with Hunter’s Guilds.

Delta- Rank of Were or Vampire that are considered to be the administrators of the pack, pride, or conclave. They work closely with the Alpha and Beta to insure the pack, pride or conclave are fed, clothed and housed. They also oversee the details of visits from other groups and run financial businesses meant to cover the costs of the group as a whole. The doctors also tend to come from this rank as they are the ones who make decisions for the group's medical centers.

Theta- Rank of Were or Vampires that are the blue collar workers of the pack, pride or conclave. They hold the jobs of housekeeper, mechanic, nurse, technician, etc. and are the backbone behind the planning of the Deltas. They can move up to one of the higher ranks but are not often motivated to do so despite sometimes being quite strong. They can almost be seen as submissive at times, but never are they pushovers. While they may not match the higher ranks in abilities or strength, they are still a great deal stronger than normal Humans, Wiccans and Mages.

Omega- Rank of Were who are actually considered to be outside of the pack or pride hierarchy. They are often as strong as most Alphas or Beta but are not interested in challenging for rank and are not compelled to be submissive to them either. Omegas are often seen as non-threatening to other Weres and Vampires because of this. They have the ability to control the emotions of those around them, often doing it at an unconscious level until they learn better control of themselves and their wolves. Usually, they use this ability to help calm wolves in the medical center who are severely distraught from injuries or illnesses. It has been said that Omegas can outright cure Rouge Syndrome completely, but that to do so can be dangerous to them, though why it is dangerous is unknown. Only born Were’s and Were-Hybrid’s tend to become this rank upon their first shift, though there seems to be no reasoning behind who becomes an Omega and who doesn’t.

Lone Were or Vampire- A Were or Vampire who chooses to abrogate due to personal reasons or is eradicated from their pack, pride or conclave for crimes against the group. A lone Were or Vampire can attempt to join other packs, prides or conclaves if they chose to leave for personal reasons, can prove their innocence of the charges from their previous group, or if guilty of the charges but make it through a probation period set up by the Alpha of the new group.
