Antonio's POV........

"No Matteo, I am not going to marry Romancia"

Matteo Bianchi is standing before me with his only daughter Romancia by his side. She looked relieved when I said I didn't want to marry her. It's not like I said no for her benefit. She is not really the type of woman I want to bend over a table and fuck. She looks a little too much like her father and not enough like her mother, now that's a woman.  

Glancing at Matteo I can see he is pretty annoyed with my answer. I know he wants he wants a marriage between me and Romancia for more business reasons than anything else. He wants a piece of my empire and that is something I just won't give to anyone. He wants a grandchild out of his daughter and I, not going to happen. I am not the kids type, never really have been. 

"Listen, Tony, can I call you Tony? Romancia knows her place, its a marriage of business. What you do behind closed doors doesn't matter."

In cases like this, I would usually laugh and then threaten to put my boot down their throat. I'm not really in the laughing mood though. Matteo just said I can cheat on his daughter. Even I know that's fucked up and I have cheated on plenty of women. A father is supposed to put a shotgun across their lap and threaten to kill a man at that notion, not give him a pat on the back. But what did I expect from this little man? He cheats on his wife all the time. He constantly seems to have beautiful little things in the bedroom because this shit heads brother has influence. All these girls want is money and power they aren't afraid to sleep their way to the top to get it. 

I'm not mad because he said I can be an adulterer. I am mad that he called me Tony. Nicknames are earned and so is respect. He hasn't earned either from me. I take a step forward and the height difference between us is evident. If he weren't so fat my chest would be right before his face. His gut prevents me from getting any closer. Glaring into his eyes I see he is holding my gaze. The little rat has some balls I'll give him that but, there is fear hiding in those eyes. I relish seeing that fear, it's an addictive drug I can never get enough of" 

"No, Matteo, you may not call me that. You may call me Mr. Ricci and that is all. I don't take too kindly to you speaking of what I do behind closed doors, don't ever do it again. Now, take your daughter and leave my presence immediately.  

He looks like he's about to shit his pants. I think its one of the first times Matteo has been talked to like this from someone more than twice as young as he is. 

He quickly gripped Romancia's elbow and dragged her across the dance floor. I would feel bad but its not like she has to take that shit. She is a grown woman she can leave when she wants. Family means everything to Bianch Women but their family wouldn't hesitate to marry them off to the highest bidder. They disgust me with how they go along with everything, another reason I will not marry Romancia or, any of them. 

Not wanting to be on the dance floor any longer, I take a sip of my scotch and walk across the ballroom floor. Everything is sickeningly white. The floors are made of white marble. The walls are all pristine with a few family portraits. The ceilings were also snow white with huge chandeliers hanging down, its not my taste and frankly a little too dated. The only thing that is dark and more of a man's hideout is the bar. Perfect, I can get another refill. 

I quickly walk through the ballroom. I don't have to move out of anyone's way because they all fall over themselves to move out of mine. The men look at me with fear and the woman look at me with lust, I live a pretty exciting life. 

"Another Scotch on the rocks, sir?"

I slide my glass over to the bartender, he already has a refill made up for me. Its good to have friends in high places. It's even better to be in high places. I don't ever have to say anything and everyone gives me exactly what I want.  

"Mr. Ricci, I am assuming that this seat isn't taken" 

A girl with long blond hair casually slips in a seat beside me. She is wearing a bit much makeup but she isn't bad looking, i'm not really interested in her face though. Her body is barely concealed by a silver figure hugging dress. I would say she is probably one of the most attractive girls here. She can do for tonight. 

"Take a....

"The reason why Gianna and Romancia should still attend university may be a bit complex for you so, pay attention."

There was a very mad voice talking about the hosts' daughter and niece. I am assuming she is speaking to, Mr. Francesco Bianchi, and, Matteo, his brother, who I had the unfortunate talk with earlier. Women don't usually go to university in the Bianchi family. I heard rumors that their fathers were going to take the girls out of it. 

I twist in my chair to get a better look at the unfolding scene behind me. I don't usually get swept away in drama but I'm bored so why not watch a show. 

A girl was standing with her back towards me in a long deep blue silk dress, it is the most body covering and simplistic dress at this party. Spaghetti straps held up the fabric clung to her body and left little to the imagination. She is the only woman here with her hair down and around her shoulders. I cant see much but what I do see is a strong, confident, defiant woman.  

This is interesting 

I have never seen a girl stand up to a Bianchi. Even their wives didn't say anything when the boys got out of line.
