The entire night Xuehua could not sleep. She was worried about the dying man. Where will she go to find a doctor? More importantly, will she be blamed for his death? Should she start planning her escape? But where will she go? She wasn't familiar with the place and she didn’t know anyone. After a night of overthinking, Xuehua finally decided to ask around for directions to the medicine house. If she called for a doctor, then they wouldn’t accuse her of his death. Right?

The sun had barely risen when Xuehua decided to leave the room. She lightly stepped around the candles and blanket and was inches from the exit until the door opened by itself revealing a beautiful, slender woman dressed in light pink. Xuehua, who didn’t expect another visitor, immediately clutched the wall in surprise. People here are really good in appearing out of nowhere, she thought while patting her chest to calm down. Xuehua, who hadn’t completely recovered from her shock, didn’t notice the sharp look that the girl was giving her or that all the color had drained from her face.

“Who are you?” she said with a shaky voice. She raised her voice and added, “Why are you here?”

Xuehua didn’t know how to reply to her question. She didn’t even know who she was. How should she introduce herself?

The girl, who is currently questioning Xuehua, is named Mingna. Although she is not of high position in the Demon Realm, she is at least the cousin of the Demon Queen, Feihong. So for that reason alone, she has always been treated with respect in the palace. But the maidservant in front of her dared to remain silent when questioned. Mingna pushed the maidservant out of her way and barged into the room and stopped in her tracks when she saw the man on the bed. The general of the Demon realm, Suhei, was resting on the bed with this robes loosened. Mingna immediately thought that the man she admired must have spent the night with the damn maidservant, and her anger boiled over.

She raised her hand and slapped Xuehua’s face. “Did you think because you spent the night with Suhei gege, you can disrespect me!” she hollered from the top of her voice. “We are engaged to be married, you slut. You will pay for your actions!” Her face completely red from the shouting, and she raised her hand once again to slap Xuehua.

Xuehua was again in the center of a drama that she didn’t ask for. She was surprised when the girl, who looked even younger than her, slapped her across the face. But one thing that she gathered from all the shouting was that the girl called the man Suehei, not Heyang which made Xuehua’s head spin even more. Suddenly the girl raises her hand again, and Xuehua instinct covers her face waiting for the slap to come.

But the slap never came, and when Xuehua looked up again, she noticed that the red-faced girl had stopped in the middle of her actions- like she was frozen by some magic. Xuehua poked her face a couple of time to see if she was actually frozen. She looked down at the palms of her hand in surprise. “Did I do this?” she questioned herself.

“No, I did,” a groggy voice came from the bedroom. “Who let her in?” he complained unhappily as he walked over to Xuehua. Heyang cupped Xuehua’s cheeks and turned her head side to side. “Does it hurt?” he asked softly, while lightly stroking the skin that was beginning to turn red from the vicious slap. Heyang’s eyes showed great displease. Xuehua’s face instantly turned red from his actions.

“No,” she said meekly. “But what happened to her?” she asked pointing her head toward the girl who is frozen mid-slap.

“I stopped her before she could slap you again. Shouldn’t you thank me?” he said while smirking at her reactions.

Before Xuehua could even react, he had already enclosed his arms around her body and brought her back to the bed. “It is still early. Why are you up?” he whispered into her ear.

Heyang closed the curtains hanging on the sides of the bed, blocking the little light that was beginning to emerge. Xuehua felt as if something heavy was pressing on her mind, making her want to sleep. The sweet scent of the blossoms and Heyang’s voice made her feel at peace. “I’m not sleepy. I still need to look for a doctor,” she whispered, dragging out each word. Heyang placed his forehead on her’s and thought in length before saying, “I don’t need a doctor. The small cut was nothing.” As if to prove to the girl that he wasn’t lying, Heyang grabbed Xuehua’s hand and placed it on his perfect chest- without a scar to be seen.

Xuehua was even more confused when she saw this. “Was yesterday a dream?” she questioned herself. “Even your name is different today,” she sluggishly added.

Heyang who saw this reaction was enchanted by the beautiful girl. Her intoxicating voice and slender figure awakened a fire in him. He placed a soft kiss on her forehead, and replied, “I am called Suhei here.”

Xuehua who felt as if someone was pulling her to sleep, drowsy replied, “Are you from my world?”

“Yes,” he simply said.

“Are you called Heyang in the other world?” Xuehua closed her eyes and wrapped her arms around Heyang.

“Yes,” he said again.

Xuehua was content with his answer. She had found a comrade! With her mind at peace, she fell into a deep sleep.
