Morte sat on top of the sign in front of Thoughts of Imagination. He looked into the bold sunset in the distance. He sat there pondering.
"Hey." Thimble said from behind the sign. He leaned against the back of it with his eyes closed.
"Go away before I kill you." Morte breathed deeply. Thimble smiled.
"What good would that do?" Thimble asked. Morte glared.
"It'd make me feel a hell of a lot better." Morte muttered. Thimble chuckled before sighing.
"How long will we do this dance for? I've grown rather bored of this." Thimble said. Morte jumped down from the sign and glared at him.
"Forever." Morte sighed.
Thimble glared at him annoyed.
"Seriously? I went through my redemption arc and everything! I changed! I stopped being evil! I've become nice, I'm a totally different man! I have everyone's respect by now! Your the only one that still hates me!" Thimble yelled. Morte looked away and started walking away.
"What can I do to make you end this stupid feud!?!?" Thimble yelled annoyed. Morte turned to Thimble clutching his scythe.
"Bring my father back." He stated coldly. Thimble looked down for a second and looked away.
"I...I..." He stuttered. Morte looked at him disgusted.
"You killed him, you had no remorse, your a dirty killer. You hurt me, my family!" Morte yelled. Thimble looked at Morte saddened.
"Your right. I did kill your father, and that is unforgivable." Thimble sighed. Morte looked at him confused.
"Then why do you still pester me!?!?" Morte yelled. Thimble looked at him defeated.
"Because we're brothers. We are all family."
Morte scoffed at him.
"That women is not my mother, I deny it. I would never be related to the beast that made you." Morte said steamed. Thimble looked at him mad.
"That "Beast" Also made Marley you fool!" Thimble yelled. Morte paused and looked away.
"The...only good thing to come from your family..." Morte sighed.
"That...and you...your a heroic person who is perfect! Possibly...more then I. You could never kill and stoop to my level." Thimble said. Morte looked away. Thimble looked surprised.
"Surely...you have never killed?"
Morte glared at Thimble.
"Yes! I posed as the grim reaper you idiot! Of course I've killed! It's by far less then you though!" Morte yelled. Thimble looked at him concerned.
"I may have been evil and foul! But I had killed but once! And true as you say, It was too far...It was only one." Thimble said. Morte looked at him shocked. Morte looked at him angry.
"It doesn't matter! I'll hate you forever!" Morte yelled. Thimble took a sphere out.
"Follow."

They entered Estern, and on a hill facing the castle, or what was left of it. There was a sunset in the distance. Morte looked annoyed as Thimble led him down the hill to a grave with a rose garden all around it.
"What's this?" Morte asked annoyed.
"Your father." Thimble said. Morte looked confused as he entered the mini graveyard. There was so much detail and care put into it. he walked up to the grave with tears in his eyes.
"Here lays, Zachary Kilfer, the man of legend, hero, legend, father." Morte read softly.
Thimble sighed and looked somberly.
"After I killed him, I felt...guilt...and regret...I did like your father, and I got jealous of his power and...did the deed. Afterward...I decided to give him a proper burial...I had many servants, but i made this all by my own hand." Thimble sighed. Morte looked up at him shocked.
"I always thought...you just discarded the body." Morte gasped. Thimble looked away.
"I can't apologize to your father...but I can apologize to you. I forsaken my best friend...I still hate you...but I'm not so proud that I can't acknowledge what I did to you was horrible. Please...will you forgive me?" Thimble asked. Morte stood up flabbergasted. Purple wings sprouted from his back and he flew away looking conflicted. Thimble sighed and watched him leave.
"Well...he didn't say no...so it's progress.
