Man, this sword is actually really heavy. But I can't let that stop me. I'll go slaughter these beasts and bring home some money. With this spell, it should be easy. Wait, I haven't even tested it yet. Andrew spotted a mouse by his foot. "Paralyse!" Sure enough, the rodent froze. Alright, how long does this last? 1...2...3...4...5...6...7...8...9. The mouse crawled away. Woah! Nine seconds is a lot for a three V'd book! I can easily wipe out Five people with this. I'm gonna be rich!
Andrew approached the gate leading outside, there was a line of older men and women waiting to be confirmed that they could go. Ugh, this would take hours to wait through, forget this. I'll just sneak out through the- "Hey do you want to skip this line?" Andrew looked over and saw another teenager talking to him. in fact Andrew knew who this was. "Jake?" "Andrew?" They both said as they realized who each other were. "I'm not gonna lie I didn't expect to see you here." Andrew said. "Now why is that?" "Well you know... the incident, I would have thought you needed to recover mentally from that." "Well, I would have thought that about you too yet here you are." Then Jake made a pun. "This is a pretty EGGcellent situation don't ya think?" That's what Andrew needed at this time a joke to distract him from his burning anger of "The Other Side". "Alright, but how can I skip the line?" "Just follow me. My friend is waiting for us near the front. We'll fight and explore as a group.
This dear reader, was a turning point for Andrew he had never hung out with anyone other than his family before. But now suddenly he would get to go explore Death's Palace with two kids his age and risk his life with them. Right now while vengeance is still his overall goal, he wasn't in the slightest thinking about that. He was thinking about exploring, fighting, and making money with friends.
