I looked around me, fearful faces all around the before cheerful audience. In the front row, newbies were clearly confused, not knowing what to do.

However, a ginger-haired newcomer, wasn't. He was wary, so he was probably North's protected; he was the only guide that would tell a New Player about us. Why? Because they get scared. In old times, guides told newbies about us, the Shadows, but the suicide percentage was a 90% higher than now. Such a shame.

"Hello, everyone." My King greeted everyone with is usual scary smile. "Law of Shadows; every cheater, thief and any other rule-breaker, will be executed." 

He snapped his fingers and we transformed into black smoke. It was one of the abilities of the Shadows, we could occult ourselves that way, but also surprise our victims.

"Ready Cerby?" Lucifer laughed.
"Always."

We changed swiftly our forms, attacking a group of thieves that were stealing from people's inventories with a hacked key while they watched the ceremony. They underestimated our power, Death can reach everyone it wants to.

In less than a minute, around ten thieves were on the floor, knocked out and ready to be fed from by our companions.

"It doesn't matter what Realm you are in, we are allowed to go inside all the King's domains. We punish the Players who deserve it. But nobody can enter ours. If anyone goes inside the Death Realm they will be imprisoned, tortured and killed slowly." The King said, his tone imposing authority. "Cerberus and Lucifer will be in charge of you in the last part of your exam, after the Transformation. They are allowed to use their powers if provoked, I recommend you all to not do that, they have quite bad temper."

"The King has a messed up humor sense." Lucifer whispered.
"Yeah, he does." I sweatdropped.
