Daniel woke up and felt something really tight around his waist, Daniel was only half awake therefore, not knowing what it was. Daniel rubbed his eyes and tried to clear his vision and saw that it was just Rhys's arm resting on Daniel stomach. Daniel gently took Rhys's arm off his stomach and quietly got off his bed. Daniel looked at the time and saw that it was 5 o'clock in the morning. He walked out of his room down the hallway into his Father's study.

"Father? Are you awake?"

"Daniel? Yes, I'm still working."

"If you're busy then I can go back and talk to you later."

"No, it's fine I was about to go to work soon, so it's fine. What is it?" 

"About, umm my..." Disease, Daniel though but couldn't say it out loud. 

"Yes?" Daniels Father croaked holding back his tears. 

"I-I want to try the treatment..." 

"You do?!" 

"However, the doctor told me and said it's very rare that, that it's successful and..."

"And? The doctors never told me this." Daniels Father said a little confused.

"and...it may cause cases of temporary memory loss or else vascular dementia." Daniels Father was a bit hesitant to say anything as he was afraid Daniel would interpret wrong but he said it anyway.

"Forgetting me is better than leaving me...Daniel. Is all I can say. In the end it is your choice whether you want to have the treatment or not."

"Y-yes, Father. May I leave?"

"Yes..." Daniel turned to leave when his Father called out," Daniel, I'll be off to work early morning about 6 o'clock, if you want to go out you have some money there, right?"

"Yes Father."

"Good, and if you want food there's some food in the fridge if you want to eat out just call up. You may leave now.

"Thank you Father." Daniel said and walked out of the study back to his room. Daniel walked into his room and Rhys was still fast asleep. He didn't know what to do as Daniel wanted to get the treatment but he didn't want to at the same time. He wanted to be strong and make it without the treatment but he knew that at this rate it wasn't going to happen. However, he wanted to get the treatment because he couldn't stand how much pain Rhys and his Father was in. He knew that he didn’t have long.
