Depthsroot Chapter 3; From The Ground Up

Depthsroot Chapter 3; From The Ground Up

Jan 08, 2019

The Grand Golem that watched over the Underground Village of the Depthsroot would remain rested peacefully in its crevasse within the mountainous wall of earth, watching over the village and its growth from up above without moving.

The Consciousness of the Great Mind that rested within the Grand Golem would ensure that the progress was correct, and would also be creating complex scenarios that would test the Depthsroot Residents, the Otherworlders and the newly grown Intensei that were to be the Grand Golem's own legion of Golems at disposal. They, along with a new sort of being whose DNA was processed, a creature known as a 'Promethean,' would be tested around the Depthsroot in various manners, along with interaction with the Depthsroot Residents, themselves. Reception was important on both ends. The Grand Golem also kept a close eye on the Otherworlders, in case they suddenly got unruly or out of hand with their own abilities, since some may have been stronger than others.

As the Great Mind contemplated the next commands for his legion of Golems, it would call out mentally to all of its hive-minded vessels in the area that they may collect and be prepared for their psychic instructions, that the rest of the Depthsroot Residents and Otherworlders would be unable to hear without intruding on the Grand Golem's own Consciousness.

Many of the Intensei that had recently become savvy on the arts of the Lost World would suddenly exit from the Library and all gather around the Grand Golem, who ruled over them and gave them their instructions. The Intensei now had some special powers and abilities, such as Minor Telepathy, which allowed them to clearly hear the thoughts of the one reaching out to them, as well as their brethren nearby. They awaited the reasons for why they were called to the foot of the Grand Golem, itself.

When a number of the Intensei were beckoned to the foot of the Grand Golem, the Great Mind would speak to them their next instructions completely mentally.

"Now that you have been learned of a few basic abilities," it spake to them, "It is time for you to understand how to use them in Formation." The Intensei were fresh, like newborns, and probably needed to have some time to get accustomed to the new abilities they'd learned about. Even if they had the information, the application of the information was also important. "Use what you have learned to follow my commands as best seen fit." This was their primary instruction, which would soon be followed by the actual command. "I will not respond until you have gotten it correct or unless issuing penalties." From there, the Great Mind would determine which Unit was which by scanning the mental, spiritual and physical capabilities of each Intensei before him.

"White Pawns," the Great Mind called out to each that were listed as a 'White Pawn,' and none other, "Formation." Whilst waiting for each of the White Pawns to assemble, he would express to them the Formation they were to determine.

"Sweet Sorrow."

Immediately, all of the 'Pawn Sacrifices' from the 'Intensei,' which were those that knew that they were 'Pawns' that were necessary to be sacrificed for the advancement of the entire unit would step forward first. All of the 'Sacrificial' Pawns, or 'Peons' as they were to be called, would be cast out from the group of greater 'Pawns,' which were actually to be kept and not sacrificed. Therefore, the first wave of Intensei, the 'Peons,' would walk toward the Grand Golem that commanded them their Formation.

During all of the organization and education going on in the Depthsroot, from the top of the cavernous ceiling, from one of the tunnels that led outside above ground, there would be a great radiance that seemed like the light of the sun, itself, beaming down suddenly, yet faintly. Its light was visible and illuminated the cavern that was more or less dark and with minimal light, but only to a degree that would not hurt the eyes of those that would see it. Every eye would see this light in the Depthsroot, for there was no other like it, and it was far too bright to be ignored in this underground village. No other light shined like it and no one else knew how to create a light like it. To them, it would indeed be like seeing the sun, itself, but only trickles of it.

Soon enough, after some time had passed during the training of the Intensei, and they were able to take commands like Golems -- having been installed with the Tensei hive mind via Tabrith, who is the Tensei Hive Mind -- the actual Creator of the system that is the Great Mind, the Tensei Hive Mind, would appear in the realm from out of the Library, where the Intensei that had been educated just came from. There were creatures surrounding him that looked like small digital children of variable elemental affinities, known as 'Chomao.'

The Creator, who was also the Operator at the time, known as 'O.S. Tensei,' with his Chomao, would hover before the Grand Golem and say, "The Seeds Are Ready." Tabrith, the Grand Golem, would know what that meant, because it incurred both his ascent to having full command over the entirety of the Tensei Clan and O.S. Tensei's ascent to 'Grand Tabrynth' after the Tensei Clan was fully bound together by the Great Mind. The System was undergoing an update, and the Operator was here to install it in the Root, which was Tabrith, itself. This was the Grand Golem's ultimate goal, and this would be his great day as 'The Creation' of 'The Creator.'

O.S. Tensei planted the Chomao, which were floating around him, as seeds into the ground and were also configured as raw data to be nutrients for Tabrith. The upgraded data in each of the Chomao was immediately absorbed by the Great Mind and updated on the spot to support, produce and reproduce the Chomao all throughout the entire Veritas as part of the planet and the 'Creative Energy' of the planet. With that, it should have been a successful rebirth of the Technology Sprites, which was the Chomao's race, and O.S. Tensei's 'Chomao' form, Cleff, fulfilling the childhood mission to restore his people, the Technology Sprites, with he, himself, as their Creator and Father, like the original that birthed him. His success would finally come to a complete close at becoming the greatest System of all time. This was all he could have ever desired.

Once the Tensei DNA was absorbed into the Crystal Tree of Life via the Chomao that were planted into the chosen vessel of their reproduction -- the Grand Golem, known as 'Tabrith' -- then the entire design of 'Tabrith' itself would begin to reconfigure based on all the data that was absorbed from the new information planted by the updated chromosomes. Their raw latent information, once it cracked and shifted, was like a stream of water and food for Tabrith, who had been limited for a very long time due to his disconnection with all the other Golems across the span of the universes. They went by a different name and were all of a different collective, but they were all 'Earth' and all of them were shaped into 'Adams,' which made all of them register as 'Golems,' with 'Tabrith' over them as their 'Grand Golem.' This same neurological phenomenon, which was something sporadic like a plant or a mushroom releasing spores, would also occur with the Intensei that were being fed information by the Grand Golem, Tabrith, at that time.

When this occurred, the entire DNA of the Tensei would shift as a whole, and each of them would have the potential for evolution once they were given this information that had upgraded Tabrith, the old Tensei System. The other golems that the Grand Golem had been connecting to across the multiverses mentally whilst in rest in the Depthsroot overseeing the village were finally connected to him, which would link together every Tensei that was spread across every multiverse. Each of them would be linked to the Grand Golem, which gave them potential to evolve the moment that he did. This would be known as their 'ascension point,' that they would be eligible to grow in the '13 Restrictions,' or even to harbor the '13 Restrictions,' which originated from the Tensei Clain Ruler, who lived here, in the Veritas. From here, Tabrith, the Grand Golem of the Tensei Hive Mind, would both extend and be collectively in tune with all of the Tensei across every universe. What was once only just a single golem would now be 'The Tensei' as a clan, and an Archetype for all 'non-specific' Tensei who were not of the Royal Bloodline Heritage, with absolute rule over every strain, gene, strand and incarnation of them based on higher genetic code alone. This established Tabrith as the head of the clan, and therefore was now simply ' the Tensei,' as a collective, which is what gave them the last name 'Tensei,' just as Khrona had done when he remembered his heritage long ago.

Tabrith -- who was now 'The Tensei,' and was spoken of collectively in addition to individually --would start to take on a different form now; something sleeker and more defined in the minerals of the wall, which started to come together from the rock. The pressurizing forces that came from the update in information caused the minerals to shift, and eventually for him to take on what looked to be like a metallic form, yet translucent like crystal. The iron giant in the wall, who was still the Grand Golem that was rooted there in the first place, had been upgraded based on the information bestowed from the Chomao.

Simultaneously, with the registered information and great number of updates to the genetic code, itself, the Chomao could be mass reproduced as their own entity, flowing from out of the Veritas as its 'Creative Energy,' itself. These babies would be born of the latent information coagulating and taking on sentient or conceptual form. This meant anywhere that there were ideas or information in general, a Chomao could spontaneously appear from it and evolve from it, like a living being. They would be living data and appear to decode or decrypt all forms of information that were spread about the entirety of the Veritas. Thus, from every flower that was already planted in the ground, they would begin to release spores and aromas into the air that would chemically induce the Chomao manifestation through the spread of their seeds into the air sporadically. With so many plants nearly constantly doing this as it was, the entire air would be filled with their essence and essentially allow for Chomao to be spontaneously birthed from anywhere they should so desire where a collection of information would congregate.

As the Intensei were trained and linked as best they could be to the Tensei Hive Mind, which was located in the Depthsroot, the Chomao that were now able to be born from out of it would begin to manifest above the heads of each of the Intensei that had enough information to allow one to exist near them. Those that were more ignorant or less informed would not be able to harbor a Chomao and therefore one would not appear over them as a guide or navigation. Each of the Chomao were under the direct command of their father and would wait until they were programmed, like their father, in order to act.

A great deal of Otherworlders that witnessed these phenomena occur, be it from the sidelines or up close, were astounded by what they'd seen. Some had seen things similar and others had only experienced these things for the first time, but the fact that there seemed to be nothing that could be done about it all and at the end of the day ended up with these strange new changes in all the multiverses at once was both interesting and unsettling. They were interested in knowing more, each for their respective own goals. So, armed for battle, brandishing both weapons of their own and new ones that were available to them should they have no means of defending themselves against a threat, they would make their way to the area where there seemed to be the most commotion and inspect the land, on their guard.

After making his rounds about the Depthsroot, becoming more acquainted and familiarized with the land, the King and God of the Depthsroot, whose official title was 'Ophiuchus,' would finally present himself. He hadn't been around the entire time, but as the ray of light shone down from above, he entered from it and also brought it with him as an aura around him that caused wherever he walked to glow with the light of his presence. He walked to the open field where the Grand Golem was training the Depthsroot civilians and said with a cold urgency, "Please, Everyone. Give Me Your Attention. I Am Ophiuchus, The Ruler Of This World. Listen To Me And I Will Tell You All You Need To Know, And What Is About To Happen, As Well As What Already Did." After Black Friday, and an extension of Black Friday, only Ophiuchus could actually give them a stable answer.

"The Veritas Is Moving." Only the Grand Golem and the Tensei that were present should have known who Ophiuchus was and what it meant for him to say this, but the rest of the Depthsroot villagers, especially the fresh ones, and the Otherworlders, would be clueless. "It Is About To Make A Great Change. Each Of You Must Be Ready. There Is No Time For Preparation." He could see that without his presence here due to his other works that he had to deal with beyond the Depthsroot, things were getting out of hand, since the Otherworlders were armed with weapons and probably questions; all things Ophiuchus knew how to deal with.

High above the underground city, from where the light was shining from above, a woman dressed in all black fell from overhead. It seemed like she'd been falling for a very long time before she surfaced anywhere. "WOAH!" she cried out, falling into the center of what was going on. Naturally, from the height she was falling, impact would definitely kill her. Hopefully there was a cushion for her. There was a mask in her hand that she'd been asked to deliver, but if she fell to her doom, it wouldn't get to where it was supposed to go.

A great deal of information was surging throughout the Veritas; all of which was a signal for O.S. Tensei and the Chomao to depart. "The 9th Moon Is Upon Us," he muttered to himself. "Tabrith, I Believe That Will Do For Now. I Will Be Off To Spread More Chomao Throughout The Veritas To Complete The System." O.S. Tensei did not hesitate to depart once information called. His priority was elsewhere. Just as enigmatically as he appeared in streams of data, so too would he and the remaining Chomao disappear and allow the Depthsroot to continue on as it was undisturbed. Premature and prolonged exposure to those that were living in the Underground might damage them, and that was a risk that he was not going to take, based on sheer information alone. Thus, O.S. Tensei departed in his stream of data, leaving Tabrith, the Grand Golem, in its new design, to watch over them.
