It was a cold and dark Autumn night as the moon was hidden behind some clouds in the night sky.
Tetu has already packed his packs and gears many moons ago, but tonight he will finally embark on the journey. He packed extra clothes and a few dried portions of meat for his journey along with a map. As a weapon, his trusty ax that he use for chopping firewood.
"There is no life for me here" He stated to himself. "I am meant for greater things than what my father planned for me."
Tetu has never left town nor has he ever gotten farther than the town border. He is described as a hotheaded and stubborn brat by many of the town people. Many think he doesn't have what it takes but he will prove them wrong.
The house was silent as Tetu left his room and slowly made his way to the house door. He could hear snoring as he passes his father room.
Tetu opens the door slowly as the light from his lantern illuminated the room. There was his father passed out sleeping after a day working the field. It wasn't that Tetu hated his father, it just that he wishes that his father would stop treating him like a child and be more supportive of his dream.
"You'll see old man. I'll prove you wrong and make a name for myself" Tetu said with fire in his eyes and heart.
Tetu quietly shut the door of his father room and left. He took off running into the night with determination and hope in his heart. In Tetu's eyes, this was his moment, his time, his calling. Nothing can go wrong, everything will work out for him from this moment on.
The sun was already slowly rising over the horizon by the time anyone noticed he was gone.
Tetu was miles away as he was walking through a small forest. Tetu has only been on his adventure for five hours and he was already lost.
"What is this?! There is no indication of a forest anywhere near here" He stated annoyed as he tries to read his map. "Just how old is this map?"
Tired and furious, he decided to take a break at a stream. Tetu dropped his pack on the ground as he cupped his hands into the water and took a drink before washing his face.
"What kind of adventurer get lost on the first day?" he said to himself with a sign. He kneed there reflecting on his choice as stare into the stream when something caught his eyes in the reflection.
A black-cloaked figure was in the tree line behind.
