“Gah! Oh, I’m an…. Uh, I’m a Neko butler who serves master…” The words that Ikki said only yesterday were still very fresh in Izumi’s mind.
Thankfully, the master of the household had allowed for Izumi to stay with Ikki so long as he stayed out of the way and assisted whenever he was called upon. He wasn’t given much choice in this matter, given that he was kidnapped and all.
Ikki was lying dead asleep in the shared bed, though Izumi didn’t want to share a bed with the strange man he was forced to… only to find out once his kidnapper fell asleep that he was a snuggle bug once asleep. He didn’t get much sleep that night.
Slowly, and as quietly as he could, he managed to untangle himself from Ikki’s limbs and to walk over to the large window that faced the left side of the bed (which was put up against the right wall in that room).
If there wasn’t a clock in the room, he’d have thought it was nighttime with how dark the storm clouds were. The low rumbling of thunder slowly started as the rain began to fall. He could see a courtyard from this window, it was large and filled with many flowers all of which looked exotic and very expensive.
“Pretty isn’t it?” Izumi let out a squeak of fright, he hadn’t heard Ikki getting out of bed and when the man's arms wrapped around him, he felt his soul just about leave his body from the scare.
“Don’t do that please…!” Izumi asked kindly his heart still racing from the fright.
“I was only having fun~” Ikki purred out before resting his chin on Izumi’s shoulder and letting out a content sigh.
“The master’s parents were the ones who made the garden. A token of love if you will, it’s so sad that they passed away in such an agonizing end.” Ikki spoke in a tone that made him sound as though he was spacing out, though Izumi couldn’t see his expression he figured that was the case.
“How did they pass… if that isn’t too much of a morbid question” Izumi prodded slightly. Though he had struggled slightly in Ikki’s grasp the man’s feminine appearance which made him look weak did nothing to show how truly strong he was (or just how weak Izumi was) he eventually gave up.
“Oops! I blabbed a bit too much.” Ikki chuckled before rubbing his cheek against Izumi’s.
“Breakfast should be ready, why don’t we join them. Don’t want to keep the master waiting” Ikki hummed as he grabbed Izumi’s hand and began leading the confused boy out of the room and into the long hallway.
Izumi, not wanting to start a fight, just let Ikki pull him along. It took around five minutes for them to reach the dining hall where a very long table was set up. Many types of food laid waiting for them, the master of the household along with the maid was already there.
“I do hope you don’t make this a habit, Ikki” The master whom Izumi had learned was named Prince spoke up. His tone was strict and commandeering
“No master! I… I was just talking to my friend” Ikki replied quickly and rather nervously, however, once Izumi and Ikki were both seated at the table everything smoothed over and the tense air in the room lightened.
The only thing that didn’t change was the uncomfortable silence that fell over all of them, at least Izumi thought it was uncomfortable. For the entirety of breakfast, they were cloaked in a very overbearing and uncomfortable silence that made him fidget in his seat and be unable to eat much.
He was thankful by the time it was all over, the maid whom he had learned was named Kusari had begun to clean up while Ikki was pulled over to the side by Prince and given some instructions it seemed…
“All right, come on! We got some chores to do!”.
