"So," Captain Scarlette says with a mischievous smile, "since you won't tell me while I'm asking you nicely, I'll have to use other methods."
"Other" methods? I shudder to think what she means, but I'm pulled from my thoughts as Captain Scarlette orders the other pirate from the room. Feeling an ominous tension fill the air, my heart sinks the moment the door closes and Scarlette turns to me with no emotion on her face. I have no idea what she's planning, but I desperately wish to run away. Without a word Scarlette looks me over and shakes her head with a click of her tongue.
"This won't do at all." She sighs. "How can I torture such an adorable princess." She says in an almost dramatic tone.
"T-Torture?!" I nearly shout. She doesn't seriously mean to torture me, does she?! "I-I warn you," I say trying to sound stern, but fail miserably, "if you hurt me, I will certainly make your regret it!" However, just like before, my statement just seems to amuse her immensely.
"Don't worry, sweetheart," she chuckles, "I won't hurt you." Scarlette takes a step forward causing me to step back, but this seems to gives her pause. But only for a moment. "Just tell me what you know, and I promise to release you." She whispers in such a sweet voice that it sounds like it's coming from a different person. No matter what I cannot tell her. She's a pirate and who knows if that story is real or not. I can't trust her. But... will she really keep her word and release me if I do?
