Destiny was laying in a open field covered in grass. The sun was beaming on her skin it sent a drop of sweat rolled down her forehead. She was on the outskirts of a small village located on the border of the Grey and Green Clan. She never knew her parents they had died when she was bored so her aunt raised her.

“Destiny !” a voice yelled out and it echoed through the field. Destiny stood up then she patted her self-trying to remove any dirt that was on her. Then she started running toward a small cottage that was at the edge of town. When she arrived she saw her aunt standing there tapping her foot.

“Destiny where did you run off to? You know that you have to stay close to the house especially with those wolves and monsters running around.” her aunt said. Her aunts’ name was Rose she was from the Green Clan. Rose hair was black and had streaks of white hair in it. Rose eyes were a light green and on the corner of her mouth were wrinkles that she got with her age. Rose wasn’t Destiny 's biological aunt but still took Destiny in and raised her.

“I know I know but I was just feeling cooped up in the house so I went for a walk I am sorry if I worried you,” Destiny said then she hugged her aunt and smiled she pushed away. “Why don’t we make dinner now?” Destiny asked looking at her aunt.

Rose looked at Destiny and she raised her hand putting her hand on Destiny cheek. “You’ve grown so much in such short time,” she said then turned away from Destiny and then retreated to the house. She stood in front of a fire with a pot over it. Destiny followed into the house watching Rose stir the soup in the pot. “Destiny dear will you do me a favor and turn down the heat?” Rose asked.

Destiny smiled “of course” she lowered her10 hand a little which made the heat of the fire slowly decrease slightly. Destiny smiled she wasn’t from the Green clan. What Destiny knew very little about her parents but she knew that her mother was from the Blue Clan cause she could control want and make it snow or make the temperature go down. That the only thing that Rose had ever told her about her parents. Rose would always tell her that once she was older she’d tell her more but, she already nineteen and she still is yet to know the truth about her family.

After they had eaten supper Destiny laid in her bed staring at the ceiling. Rose had been asleep for hours but Destiny 's head was filled with question and fantasies about her parents. Nev wasn’t able to sleep and she

Destiny sat up in bed quickly, she was wide awake and she’s not sure why though. She had a feeling or an instinct that she needed to protect herself and her family. It was an unexplainable feeling in her gut. She got out of bed then she dressed in a pair of pants with leather boots and a white shirt. she walked over to her aunt's room she couldn’t hear anything which meant that she was sleeping. Destiny left the house she walked back to the open field. She lay there the feeling started to fade. She looked at the night sky was painted with the stars. She had been laying there for hours and the smell of smoke filled her nose. She looked up at the village and it was on fire then she looked back at her house.

Destiny eyes became wide as she saw wolves that Rose spoke about breathing fire, setting her house on fire. She ran toward the house as fast as she could. They have a well outside of the cottage. Destiny controlled the water trying to put out the fire. She saw the wolves approaching her so she froze their paw to the ground. It didn’t take long for her to put the fire out but beams that held up the roof had fallen.

“Rose! Rose! Where are you?!” Destiny yelled through the cottage then she walked through the dabri. She couldn’t tell which room was which her home was burnt to the ground. She heard heavy breathing and groans of pain she thought that the might have been Rose she ran towards them. Then she saw her aunt laying on the ground with a beam on top of her. Destiny looked at Rose running to her side her looked at her she wanted to pick her up but then again she didn’t want to touch her since it might make her injuries worse.

“Destiny …” Rose whispered as she looked at her. “..I’m so sorry I should..” she coughed out blood then she raised her hand and placed it on Destiny s cheek. “I should have told you who your parents where…” she said breathing heavily. Nava had tears running down her cheeks. Destiny thought if only she had stayed if only she would have come earlier.

“Don’t say that…” she sobbed “you’ll just tell me later” she said. Rose gave a small smile then her hand fell hitting the ground and her breathing had gotten slower then her eyes closed and her body became cold. Rose had died in front of Destiny .

As this happened the wolves had brook the ice that held them. The started to close in on Destiny as she wept. Engulfed by her emotions she screams out in pain and her body caught on fire as well as the wolves and Rose lifeless body. Destiny looked at her hands then she stopped screaming and the flames disappeared. She stood up not seeing any wounds on her arms or legs. It was like she caused the fire.

She looked to the side and saw three dead wolves that had been burned alive and she saw the asses of Rose. Destiny stumbled backward for a few steps. She was fine while those around her had died or burned. Did she cause this? She then looked back at what was left of her house. Tears rolling down her cheeks then she started running into the woods. She wept till she was deep inside the woods she had never been in that part. She saw a tree with a hole in its trunk and she went inside there were no creatures of any type inside. She wiped her eyes and continued to cry and she fell asleep.

The sun creeped in though the hole and hit Destiny face, she closed her eyes hard not wanting to wake up. She was scared that what happened last night was her new reality and not a nightmare. She opened her eyes and she used her hand to block the sun out of her face. She saw the wood and dirt of the tree she was in. she crawled out of the hole then she took a deep breath trying to process where she was and how she would go back to what once was her home. She saw great trees but the tree that was next to her had a symbol on it. It was an arrow facing south. She tilted her head to the side curious to why it was there. Then she decided that she would walk south.

As the minutes turn into hours she had found her way home she saw a the village in the distance smoke stil filling the sky. Then she saw her once beautiful house burned to the ground. A small tear escaped her eyes it rolled down her cheek. She walked toward the debri of her house and she stood in what once her aunts room. Everything had been destroyed except a box. It was under a pile of wood that once held the house up. She picked up and threw the wood a side, looking at the box her instincts told her to pick up the box.

She picked up the box there was some ashed on the box making it hard to see the outside. She blew on the box and the dust took off following the wind. The box as silver with markings of fire and snowflakes all over it with her name engraved in it. She opened the box and the first thing she saw was a note. She started to read the note. As she read it tears started to roll off her cheeks.

Dear sweet Destiny ,

i’m sorry if you are reading this it must mean i have died. I’m sorry that i never told you anything about your past and your family. I promised your mother and father that I would only tell you once you turn twenty. I can’t tell you how much I love you, you were the light of my life the reason I continued to live in this terrible world. It was you who gave me hope that the darkness wouldn’t take over this world. Remember through your journeys that as long as there is hope you will be able to defeat the darkness. In this box you will find a map and five journals they were your mother's. She was the best woman I had ever met and your father well lets just say they were the perfect match of total opposites. Your Mother was North of the Blue Clan member of the Elite, and your father was Benton of the Red Clan member of the Elite. I know this may come as a shook to you but it is true. this no matter what people say you are gifted.

I'm going to tell you a story or more of a history lesson. Long ago the Gods and Goddess fought in a great battle over control of the mortal realm. From this war the four clans were created as a weapon for battle. Soon after the Gods and Goddess noticed what they had done. In order to stop the mortals from becoming stronger they placed a curse on them. The course was that no matter how much love they may have for someone from another clan they may never bare a child. The gods did this do that no mortal could carry the blood of two gods. But this curse was broken when you were born. Your mother told me that she had a dream that the Gods spoke to her telling her she would bear the greatest warrior of all in order to defeat the darkness. I thought she was crazy when she told me this then a year passed and you were born. In a state of panic North asked me to care for you because she feared if others knew then the darkness would find out and they would go after your life. So i took you in.

Destiny I will now tell you your full name is Destiny Adan it means snow with a little fire. It was given to you by your mother and father but you must never tell anyone your full name. Now that you know of your past. On the map you will see a snowflake shape located in the Grey Clan territory. You must go there right away. You will go to a local shop and ask for Owen tell him that Rose sent you and that you are Destiny and he will give you some money and a weapon. Please be careful as you travel. You must not die before you are chosen.

Destiny wiped her tear folding the letter back up. She set the letter back in the box. Then she started to go threw the rubble of her house she found a satchel. Then she opened the box she put the folded letter into one of her mother's journals and then she put the five books in the satchel along with the map. She started walking toward the village.

Destiny head was filled with thoughts. Her parents where from two different clans, Rose had died, she was a gift from the Gods, and now she must travel to the Grey Clan. It was much for her to process. This means the fire that was around her the night before was being controlled by her. She would have to learn how to control her new awoken power. But at the moment her priority was going to the village to see if any one had survived. Also to get more supplies for her journey. She walked for nearly an hour trying to understand what had happened to her.

She stood at the edge of a walkway in the village it was completely deserted. There were still fires that need to be put out. She had no more tears left to cry. So she walked through the village and as she walked she could hear some yelling for help in a faint voice. Destiny ran in the direction of the scream if she could save anyone she would no matter the cost.
