After the Last Liberation Ceremony and the Gear of Time Shift, the Story was now in order and kept completely updated by the Veritas. Shintsuki, who now ruled as 'Great Fae' over Mysteria in her proper place, enjoyed the relaxing peacefulness inside of her palace, knowing for absolute certain that things were going to continue in Perfect Order from now on.
"*sigh* Finally..." she groaned, slumping down in her chair, "... Peace and Quiet. All we have to do is exist and things should be alright..." She didn't know where her husband had gotten off to, but whatever he was up to, as long as it wasn't disturbing her, she was pretty alright with it.
"Hmmm..." she gazed lazily at the ceiling, recurring thoughts cycling through her head over and over and over aimlessly in her fatigue. She couldn't believe what she'd just witnessed During the Entire 6th Moon shift... It was astounding, the Tensei heritage. Almost a little frightening, considering all that power that was being kept a secret... not only from others, but each other, as well. It was... something to think about, truly... That if it hadn't happened the way that it did, none of the things that were as they are right now could have nor would have been. Part of it was frightening. Another part of it gave her security in not only their bond, but in how she could trust the Tensei... as well as God. She'd never before thought to do such in the past, but... This man seemed to be teaching her otherwise early on in their union.
Still, it was a lot to take in. She just wanted to rest and let it all simmer down a bit... Especially before he got all excited and made some other universal shift happen or something. It was difficult existing in a realm that was established by the Universal Consciousness of the Lower Worlds Together. They were not aware of the true nature of the 'Dream,' but it was... a lot to deal with and keep maintained successfully. Fortunately, she wasn't alone and her efforts weren't in vain. She was more than grateful for that, if nothing else.
Eventually, Shintsuki dozed off, getting so lost in her thoughts that they started to influence her dreaming. Because she was able to exist in the same method whilst she was awake as she was when she was asleep, when she lost consciousness, it would manifest elsewhere as her consciousness awakened again and moving as if having not fallen asleep only moments ago. Basically, dreaming oneself into the same existence elsewhere. She is the 'Faerie Queen of Dreams', after all. Where she woke up was a land that had been cast in the shadows; her homeworld.
The loving arms of a soft, yet secure embrace dropped the tired Tsukihime down upon the bed for her to rest for as long as she may, only to awaken and find that all that happened in her 'Dream' was made 'Real,' and all memories of the events that went on were retained.
"Rest easy, Tsuki-chan..." what felt like the warm touch of lips would press against her forehead before the looming shadow over her would fade away from she and her nightmares like a passing thought.
She awoke in a slight panic, like she was jolted awake by a series of realizations and changes inside of her from her conscious mind working to solve some personal issues in her sleep, wherein she would look around dazed and amazed at all she'd just experienced in what she thought was her sleep, but felt like actuality.
"... Was that... Just a dream...?"
She would lay comfortably in her bed, wondering how she got there when the last thing she remembered before falling asleep was definitely conking out sitting on a chair. She knew what happened yet didn't know what was going on, but felt much less worried about things to come after the certainty of that darker side of herself that things would get better with her looking out for Shintsuki. That was a relief. Though wide-eyed, she was still a little groggy and kinda ruffled her hair a bit. "... Well, all's well that ends well..." Now she could finally enjoy herself, perhaps...
Who was standing over her, having just brought her in and placed her on the bed, given her a kiss and was prepared to leave to do more mysterious, cryptic things in secret was none other than her loving husband, Shinrona. Startled at first by her sudden awakening, he quickly turned back around to see why she jolted up so quickly, hoping it wasn't because of his intrusion. He always hated when he accidentally came in and interrupted her at bad times.
"Oh, did I wake you?" He gazed at her dreamily, yet with a face full of concern and slight distraught, "I was just bringing you in from out there. You looked uncomfortable in that chair. I hope I didn't disturb you." He knew that she was probably just really tired from everything that was going on and wanted her to relax. "Don't worry, just go back to sleep," he'd say in a soothing voice whilst rushing his fingers through her hair, "Let Daddy take care of everything, okay?" He laughed very softly and smiled warmly as he stroked her head affectionately as if trying to calm her mind that he could clearly see from her expression was moving a mile a minute.
At first, her racing thoughts kept her wide awake and alert, yet the silky touch of Shinrona's hand upon her skin was very soothing, especially when he messed with her hair. She was almost lulled to sleep by his charms when she suddenly realized... "... Wait, then how did I get naked?" Something was up with that. "... I definitely remember having clothes on before I went to sleep..." she said, narrowing her eyes as she glared at him suspiciously. Even though she wanted to think about her dream and what it meant, something like this also seemed to be of some... Er. Concern.
His smile intensified as she inquired cautiously, only to be met with a casual and cool response of, "You looked hot." He grinned at her playfully and pecked her on the cheek, "Take that any way you want to, my girl~!" He backed away slowly, toward the door, not wanting to stir up anything more with her, since he wanted her to go back to sleep and not even think about such things... "... Just rest your pretty little head, my love. Don't even worry about it..."
"Huh," she huffed, eyeing him down suspiciously, "... Seems to me like someone couldn't wait..." She continued to give him 'The Look,' crossing her arms and beginning to cover herself now, somehow feeling slightly exposed and mildly taken advantage of.
"Why Tsuki!" he exclaimed in an almost daunting, yet eerily flirtatious manner, "I'm surprised at you~! Having such lewd thoughts about me..." He turned his head from her dramatically, out of her sight, smile growing wider, "How could you~?" He threw a hand up above his head, fitting the full on 'victim' role to the letter. However, this was quickly broken by his remark under his breath, "... Besides, don't act like you don't like the feeling." Naturally, he was going to know his waifu's secret enjoyment of being ever so slightly taken advantage of, with only a hint of being powerless and without control over whatever was going on. It was definitely one of the reasons why they were still together, quite honestly.
He immediately turned to face her, leaning on the door and cutting all of his foolishness immediately, as to not let her get any of the wrong ideas. He knew when to stop joking, but he definitely loved to fuck around. "Nah, but seriously, I just thought it'd be more soothing for you if you weren't in that get up. You were tired, love, and all that stuff definitely looked hot and uncomfortable." He knew that they'd been through a lot, especially through their lower Restrictions running around doing as they did to make sure everything remained proper. They were basically waiting right now. "... But I'm not gonna say I didn't have any thoughts..." No, that would be a lie, and he definitely wasn't gonna do that to his Dearly Beloved. He raised his eyebrows suggestively, yet lowered his lids nonchalantly, a smirk just as soft as his barely audible voice slyly slipping upon the corner of his cheek.
Shintsuki blushed a bit, knowing that it was true about what he said, but feeling a little embarrassed by it. For some reason, it felt a little more revealing than ever, even if she definitely enjoyed it. Perhaps because of the dream she had. "... Well. It shouldn't be too much longer, now," she said, still finding his story a little bit suspicious, "So, Sit, Boy." She knew he was slick and would try that shit, without a doubt... But the fact that she knew he wouldn't tell her anything except exactly what it was gave her security, since he was an extremely shady and mysterious individual in and of himself. Even she questioned his motives sometimes, only because of the ambiguity behind he and them. Though, no matter how things looked, she was always ascertained that certainty of things being for the best. If they weren't, she'd definitely be the absolute first one to snap at him, because she knew what was best, too. Something that made their interactions with each other rather... interesting.
"... But now that I'm up," she said with a roll of her eyes, but in a suddenly honeyed voice, as if she were actually pleased about being wide awake and naked, "... Let me tell you about this dream I had. Maybe you can help me with it." She knew what happened in it, but wasn't sure what all of it meant completely. It was almost like a shadowy blur in her terms of understanding, even if crystal clear in her vision... Like some weird, unknown darkness was preventing her from knowing about it and bringing her a lapse in clarity. "... Or are you busy?"
He was totally not expecting this to happen. He thought she was just gonna go back to sleep, as expected... Leave it to Tsuki to be the ONLY being in existence that didn't move to how he planned or foresaw. But, he really loved that about her, since she was able to exceed his vision by sharing part of it. "... Actually, I just got in and was going to go make some food..." It was a good thing she just so happened to not ask him where he'd been. He didn't feel like explaining THAT situation... Especially not right after he JUST got back from it. "But you're right on time, as usual. Just like me, it seems." Naturally, even if people asked him questions about things that they didn't know or understand, chances were that he probably already knew them or caused them and was now just keeping it all one big secret that would only be revealed if addressed. There was no reason to bring it up otherwise, and anything that prevented that was pretty much good with him. There were a lot of things he merely needed to go through the motions of, simply for the sake of allowing others to piece together things for themselves, as it seemed Shintsuki may have been with the dream, if she actually decided to come to HIM about it... He wondered how much she knew.
"Pff, you can just magic up some food," she said sarcastically, shrugging off his hunger. Honestly, he didn't even need to eat and just enjoyed the taste. "Come ooon~. I think it's really serious." She suddenly seemed to feel better about it, though, thanks to Shinrona's sudden caring yet carefree ambiance about him. It made her feel much less tense about her own thoughts just from him being here, which was another reason she felt it to be important to share it with him. "Brownie Points~?"
His soft smirk widened to a smug grin, simply because he knew what that meant. "Huh, throw in some 'Cookies' and 'Cream'..." he started, sweeping over the bed in one fluid motion and under the covers, slinging a suggestive stare to her, looking down, then back to her eyes, "... And we might be talking 'Business' around here..." He chuckled flirtatiously and winked at her, then smiled warmly, cutting his joking now to a minimum since she said the dream was serious. He wanted to make sure that as he made his witty quips, she knew that he was still as serious as could be, even if still trying to keep the air about them light and loose. "... Anytime you're ready, love."
Shintsuki immediately caught on to his 'suggestive theme,' meeting his stare with a peculiar one of her own, as well as a slightly stifled smile, trying to hide her own excitement at the thought. "Well..." she said lowly, hand creeping under the covers, "... If you insist..." When her hands emerged from under the covers... There was a bowl of Cookies n' Cream ice cream in her hand that seemed to have emerged from out of thin air. "And there's more where that came from~." she said with a wink, placing it in his hands.
*Ahem* "But all joking and flirting aside," she said a bit more seriously, knowing it was probably best for her to begin, "... It was about... The Fae. You and I were there, but you were... Different. You were really dark and shadowy, and turned into some sort of giant black beast... And I was a super cool badass goth chick on top of the Red Moon..." The way she spoke about it, it was as if she were looking from the outside in as these events were occurring, rather than actually being part of them, herself. "It gets really hazy after that... But there was a lot of blood. It ran through the streets... Fires... Death... Destruction..." She turned to him lovingly, with a bit of concern in her shimmering eyes, "... And we both seemed to be the cause of it... And enjoying it." She only remembered seeing that giant black shadow looming over her, protecting her, and having three giant gleaming red eyes. They seemed familiar to her... Those eyes...
"... Basically, you were that darkness that was cast over the land, and I was the one who was telling you where to go... Until the entire city became black by your body and red by my blood. It was a horrible massacre." Quite honestly, she thought all of it looked really cool, but that, too, brought her a bit of concern about the events that played out.
"But it didn't feel like a dream at all," she added. "It felt like it was real. Like it happened somewhere... And I think it was my homeworld." It was hard for her to tell, considering how it all looked draped in darkness and blood, but it definitely seemed to be that place. "What do you think about it...?" She figured that he would know something, if he was involved in it in some way. Or, if whilst he was out, he saw something occur that was similar, or something of that sort.
