He laughed once she brought out the ice cream, actually rather happy to see that, even though he wanted another creamy dessert that he'd just have to hold his tongue on for now. The ice cream would do for now. As he ate his treat, Shinrona listened very attentively and thoughtfully at her dream, figuring that he already knew a bit about what was going on just from her description. He didn't show it on his face, but he knew that the time was coming... The time of the Seventh Moon. He needed to make sure that they got their Seven in order quickly. He had no more time to waste.
Still, his lighthearted smile and soft eyes kept their gaze on her, showing no worry nor concern, even though he knew that it might be necessary if things didn't pick up soon. The 6th was very important, after all. When she finally finished, he chuckled lightly and began to tell her what it meant.
"... Ah. So... You're starting to feel the effects of the 6th kick in, are you...?" He knew what that meant, but she wouldn't, since she'd not ever gone through the 'Seven Paths' before, and he'd already done this thrice. He was to guide and instruct his wife the same way he did everything and everyone else. That was the reason why he did it first... Three times, in fact. To make sure he knew what he was talking about and how to help others through, as well. "That was your 'Dark Path,' or, the 'Shintsuki' that is affiliated with the 'Dark' element. You see, each Living Being is innately constructed with the Seven Elements, all of which are meant to support Life in all forms. They are the Formula for the Construction of Life itself." He knew many arcane secrets and archaic mysteries that he kept completely hidden from others, but knew it was about time to fess up... For the sake of his Dearly Beloved, if no one else.
"Each Element needs to be in Balance and Harmony with each other. As 'Yin' and 'Yang' need to be Balanced in order to remain Harmonious, so do all Elements and all Life. However, balancing all 7 Elements is not as easy as simply balancing 2, which is where it becomes very tricky for most beings in the 5th, which have learned to sustain a Reality, which is comprised of those elements." He wasn't going to go into a long winded speech about it, since he didn't want to reveal too much too soon, but just enough for her to understand what was going on. "When one undergoes the 7 Paths, they take up the teachings of the Seven Elements in relation to Themselves; your Dark Self, Light Self, Fire Self, Water Self, and so on. These help you to understand how you react with these elements, how you handle these elements, how they effect you, how to work with them and how you change in response to taking in said element in and of yourself. In order to become fully balanced, one must master (or at least, harmonize) all of them in tandem. This is known as 'Aligning your Chakras.'"
Since she was able to view herself in her Dark Form, which Shinrona knew simply because he and all the other versions of himself; the other Personalities that came from him taking on different elements, as well as the 'Neutral' version that was himself in the 5th before taking on an elemental property, were all synced already and balanced. They were there specifically to help Tsuki and anyone else who followed that path to their own.
"Now, these Elements are also Emotions, and for each person, there is a specific Emotion that they signify with, and as such, an Element that ties into that Emotion based on a Feeling and Color made by the Vibration matching the Wavelength and Frequency of said Element and its Vibes. There are many who don't ever take but a single path; for example, one who masters the Fire Element would thereby take the Fire Path. We, however, are required to take All Seven, which ends up with us having 7 Different Versions of ourselves that make up the Entire Whole that is our Perfect Self in the 7th. We split apart, break down, and then come back together. Think of us as we are now without Elements, wherein we in the 7th will be a single being with All Elements, and all our Paths will no longer be separate entities, but a single one, again." This was the most general synopsis of how the 5th, 6th and 7th correlated and tied into each other, but these were only the very vague and basic generalities in order to help her understand. There was far more to it than just what was explained.
"Am I making sense so far? I need to tell you how we apply this to ourselves, as Tensei, in the 13 Restrictions. For us, this is the 6th, and there are 7 Paths for us to harmonize with in order to make it to the 7th. 7 Emotions. 7 Elements. 7 Versions of Us; Different and Broken Apart, but the Same and as a Single Unit."
Quite honestly, Tsuki wasn't expecting an earful to come from him... But from the moment he started talking about the serious matters involving the Moons, she knew that it was dire for her to listen, even if he didn't express it in his face nor tone. Her 'Dark Self,' the one that she saw... Was she really like that? And his... Is THAT what he kept hidden from her in the shadows? That he was that... Overwhelming monstrosity inside of himself? She'd never be able to tell just by looking at his face... But she was curious to see the others. The other 6; not just of herself, but of him. She felt like she knew the Dark One, but at the same time, it seemed different.
His explanation made perfect sense to her, considering the times as well as their own knowledge and power, so she didn't need to much more than that in terms of how it worked, but... Her concern was in that the two of them were those malicious sadistic psychos that basically took pleasure in murdering people as they saw fit. She admitted that she found it a little bit stimulating, but she... She didn't want to see herself that way. No. It couldn't be her... Could it?
"... But. That's not who we really are, right? I'm not..." she trailed off, not wanting to say anything more. She was actually now feeling a little embarrassed for even expressing her disdain with how she saw herself in her 'Dark Form.' Quite honestly, she thought that she was really cool and sexy and a badass, but she was worried about how she looked to others... And if she SHOULD be thinking of herself in that way after she saw what she did. "... What else...?" she muttered, "... About... Well... Those 7 paths being part of us...?" She needed to know that she wasn't some twisted, yet really cool, destructive, bitchy, cold, distant and completely abrasive goth chick with a murderous disposition for basically anyone that got too close to her and annoyed her. She always saw herself as a sweet, loving, playful and caring person... That had to just be the darkness... Right?
He took another spoonful of his creme cutely to the mouth, blinking a bit as he saw the concern on her face and heard it in her voice. He didn't want to worry her... That was why he wasn't going to tell her... But he knew he had to. He didn't know why things had to be so difficult, but at the same time, he did. They'd work it out. He just didn't want to rock the boat with her, considering... Well. How she didn't know about these things and he did. He remembered how it was when he went through it... But fortunately, she didn't have to do it alone, like he did, so it wouldn't be AS stressful...
With a sigh and a shake of his head, he replied, "Don't worry. That 'Dark Version' of you is not you. Yet, it is you. It's what you are when you decide to use only the Element of Darkness, which comes from engaging the Emotion that comes with it; Fear. Don't take it personally. Most people who go down the 'Dark' path and become masters of the 'Darkness' tend to act similarly. Cold, calculating, distant, sneaky, shady, sometimes even murderous and psychotic." He already knew from having to deal with those types on the Lost World... the Lord of Darkness and his apprentice being two most prominent Dark Path followers, and they were similar in their own respect in terms of what generally comes from those who Use Fear or Succumb to Fear; both of which induce the 'Dark Element' overtaking them and becoming their 'Main Element.' "However, you also must accept that you ARE that person, even if it is not you TRULY nor FULLY; that this version of you IS still a part of YOU. If you deny that part of you, then you will destroy yourself. This is what most people do when they find something they don't like about themselves and don't know how to deal with it, control it, alter it nor where it came from; they just reject it. Then they lose a valuable part of their own existence, which ends up causing emotional imbalances, confusion, doubt, being lost, unknowing, turmoil... and even death."
He feared for his love. He definitely did. He knew she could overcome the trials of the 6th, but he didn't want her to look at herself and see something she didn't like, reject it, and then die off here. She definitely could, and she would be gone forever, not able to transcend into the 7th with him. That was why he was trying to break it to her as gently as possible...
"If you don't like what you see, you must go confront that version of yourself and change her. However, if you DO like it, you must also openly ACCEPT this part of you, regardless of others. It is only in this way that all the other 6 pieces can link in perfectly. People usually deny themselves or lie to themselves and then cannot harmonize nor connect, which also leads to a complete collapse. They are still you, after all, and to deny yourself is to reject your own existence, no matter what form. Don't think that your Dark Self is your Complete Self. No. It's just isolating the Emotion and Element to show you what you'd do when you Focus on that. Not who you are as a whole."
He took a hand to her face and stroked it gently, hoping that his very general explanation was enough for her to be at ease about it all. "Feel better, love? Or do you need to talk about it a little more?" He certainly hoped that she did... He didn't like revealing too much information, but would, just for her. "... The most important thing is to ALWAYS be true to yourself, even about things you don't like. Just accept them. Then, you can begin changing them, if you want to, as well as sorting things out to keep what you like about yourself and get rid of what you don't."
His words were soothing to her ear, yet she still seemed troubled... Perhaps because she didn't quite know herself as well as she liked or hoped, and was actually now feeling pretty lost about it all. She wanted to know more about herself in all those other 'Emotions' and 'Elements' and see what she was like in those numerous other ways... Especially if it was important to harmonizing herself, as well as herself with him. She couldn't put her finger on it, but she felt like this might have been the most important jump of all, and if she didn't make it... Then perhaps, neither would they. That brought a powerful fear into her, and yet, the touch of his hand seemed to take it away. Maybe he was afraid, too... He was taking away her burdens again, as usual. As much as she appreciated it and the thought behind it, she needed him to understand that there were some things she needed to be exposed to and not protected from. She wasn't trying to be babied and pampered like some old bimbo; she wanted to show him that she could do it and learn her life lessons with as much aptitude as he. That's why...
"... I want to know about the other paths," she said placing her hand on his. "... I'm a big girl. I don't want to piggyback or leech off of you anymore. It's not making me stronger... It's making me weak." It was cute at first, but now it was becoming more detrimental and slowing not only herself, but him down, as well; as if she were becoming a weight on his shoulders that he chose to carry out of love alone. She hated weakness, and to think that she might have been accidentally allowing herself to be weakened just by the love of her husband was pretty disgusting... Not because of the actual sentiments, but because of the fact that she was weak and she could tell why. She wasn't going to allow it to happen again. She'd be strong in his eyes in EVERY Restriction. She could already tell that, even though she was excelling, she was still lagging behind him. She also couldn't stand that, either. "I accept what I saw," she said decisively, "And I understand what it all means. That... Part of me. The Dark Part of me... I actually really like her. But I'm afraid of her, too." Perhaps, that was why that emotion and element were induced by 'Fear,' or perhaps 'Mystery.'
She looked down, then turned her face to the palm of his hand, holding it on one side as if trying to hide, "... What do we need to do to make sure we make it through the 6th in time? So that I can get to know all these parts of me and harmonize with them before the Fall of the 6th Moon?" She was prepared to do whatever it took and to get way deep down and personal within herself. It was about time for her to do that, anyway; even if he could do it, he couldn't do it in the way that she could. No. Only she could do that, and it was about time for her to take responsibility for her own emotions and her self, personality, through all 7 personalities that came from the 6th Restriction. "Please," she'd say, dropping his hand and quickly turning to him again, "Tell me!"
