The day had finally come. The day that had been waited by, not only the girls, but also the boys, the students of the Cross Academy had finally come. It was the St. Xocolat's Day, a day where people would give chocolates to those they love and care about. Unlike the Valentine's Day, not only girls who could give chocolates, but also the boys. Though, up until now, it was still mostly girls who gave while boys received. Still, this event was still waited and loved by everyone in the academy, especially the day class students. As today, they could get closer to their idols of the night class students by giving them chocolates. But this day was one of the busiest days to the three disciplinary committees.
"Alright, everyone... Please be patient and none get out of the lines!" Yuki shouted from the top of the gate. "Hey, you girls! Don't climb on the wall!" She shouted to the two girls who were trying to climb up the wall to get through to the night class dorm. The shout though had surprised the girls, making them lost balance. The girl on top was almost fell to the ground if Zero did not come in time to catch her. "Zero! Nice catch!" Yuki said to him smiling in relief. Zero said nothing of it as he put the girl down quickly. "Everyone please behave or this event might be canceled!" Zero threatened the students once again and as always, it worked. "You don't have to make the girls turned to hate you, though, Zero." Yuki mumbled as she sighed still disagreeing with the way he handled it, though she was thankful for it.
Meanwhile, in the night class dorm, the students were talking to themselves. "It sure is very noisy today." Akatsuki commented as he was sitting on the sofa. "Well, it is after all the St. Xocolat's Day." Hanabusa answered for him nonchalantly as usual. "Why is the name even Xocolat... It's pretty weird already. Isn't it usually Valentine?" Kain commented once again. "Oh, I don't know that you care about stuffs like that." It was the long haired female vampire, Ruka, who answered this time. "Not really." He simply brushed it off now. "Shiki, are you going to join in as well?" Rima, the other girl with twin tails asked. "Hmm... It sounds like a pain." He truthfully said. "Don't worry, you will receive a lot of chocolates, Shiki." Another blonde vampire with green eyes called Takuma said to him as he walked down to the group. "Do you want to see who receive the most, Akatsuki?"It was Hanabusa who spoke this time to the guy beside him. "Oh man..." Akatsuki just shook his head disbelieved at what he said. Just then, Kaname walked down the stairs with his personal attendant, Seiren, walking behind him. "Kaname-sama!" Ruka immediately turned to look at him, her face brighten up. "Good morning, Kaname." Takuma greeted. Kaname gave them a smile as he asked, "Shall we go?" And then all of the night class students headed out to the gate.
Once the gate was opened, the squeals, and screams from the girls could be heard anywhere. Due to the event of the St. Xocolat's Day, the road was already decorated with small stands like gate, where behind the gates, there would be the girls from the day class who would give chocolates to the night class's students. "Oh, this looks like fun!" Hanabusa exclaimed with his eyes sparkling like a child. "I knew it would be a pain." Senri, the red haired guy answered with his stoic expression. "Don't say it like that..." Akatsuki spoke trying to cheer him up.
"Okay! The St. Xocolat's Day tradition! The female day class students are standing behind the gates. It'll be a race to see who can give out the most chocolate!" Yuki began explaining. "The night class students are to proceed to their assigned gates along the route, and accept as many chocolates as possible. Listen, this is no time to mess around! The girls here are all serious." Yuki finished her explanation, and almost immediately Hanabusa dashed off to the his assigned gate. "I gotta get 'em all!" He shouted as he dashed off. "Wait! Aido-senpai!" Yuki called off immediately, but he did not stop, so Kaname called out this time. "Aido. Mind your manners. Do you understand, right?" He gave him his usual threatening enough smile. Hanabusa immediately stopped mid-way and turned to look at him. "Y-yes, Dorm President Kuran." Yuki turned to look at Kaname and bowed down. "Th-thank you very much, Kuran-senpai." She bowed down before she ran to the middle of the gates on each side of the road. "As expected of Kaname-senpai." She thought in her mind smiling. "Then, let us begin! Ready!" She shouted and then blew her whistle, signing the beginning of the event.
"Thank you! Thank you!" Takuma smiled as he received the chocolates from his fangirls. Then he saw the red haired vampire walking passed behind him with Rima. "Hey, Shiki, you should properly accept them too." Then he walked to him and suddenly grabbed his arm. "I'm sorry, ladies, I'll get Shiki-kun to you now." He said before pulling him to his gate even without allowing Shiki to say anything. Then another girl called out to Kaname as he walked passed his gate with Seiren. "U-Um, Kuran-senpai!" One of the girl called. "Please accept it!" She bowed down as she offered her chocolate. "Ah, thank you very much." Kaname walked to her and took the chocolate. "M-mine too please, Kuran-senpai!" Another girl spoke and did the same. "Thank you." Kaname took it again. Behind him, Ruka was watching the girls handed Kaname their chocolates and he receiving it, as she commented, "They should be grateful Kaname-sama is so kind to them." Then out of nowhere, Akatsuki appeared beside her. Holding all the chocolates he received, he said, "You're making a scary face." Ruka looked at him and commented back, "Speak for yourself. You've been receiving chocolates, so how about looking a little happier?" Just then her name was called. "R-Ru-Ruka-san...!" A voice called. "What's it?!" She sharply turned her head only to find a guy with glassed on was holding out a chocolate to him. "Please... Accept my feelings!" Ruka looked at him and somewhat felt dejected.
"Hey you... What's your blood type?" Hanabusa asked one of the girl on his gates. "E-eh... I-I'm type O." She answered shyly. "Aido-senpai." A voice called and he turned to look at the owner who turned out to be Scarlet's. "Please restrict to only accepting chocolates and feelings." She said still with her emotionless face. "Ah, okay. Fine." He sighed. "Then, are you not going to give me yours as well, Scarlet-chan?" He smirked as he walked to her. Scarlet just watched him walk to her sighing. "I thought you're only joking?" She asked looking up at him who had been standing in front of her now. "Well, of course not. I've always been serious." He winked at her and she was sure that if she did not hold herself, she would have punched the guy in front of her already. "Fine. But just stop flirting with me. It's gross." She bluntly told him as her hand went to the paper bag she was holding. "Here." She handed him a box of small chocolate. "Oh... Oh! You're really giving me chocolate?!" Hanabusa exclaimed in excitement and surprised. "What? Do you not want? Then just return it to me." Scarlet simply said as she held her hand out to him. "No, of course not! I'm going to accept it!" He pulled the chocolate to him as to protect it from the giver herself. Scarlet rolled her eyes and sighed. "Alright then. I'll be going now. Please behave." She waved her hand to him before leaving him to find the others. He watched her left and saw that she also handed the other night class students chocolate. What was more was that they all looked the same. That somehow did not feel right to him. "What? You think you're special, Hanabusa?" It was Akatsuki who suddenly spoke up to him. "Wh-what? N-no of course!" Hanabusa quickly brushed it off walking away from him, even unknown to himself, his cheeks flushed slightly pink, but that went unnoticed by Akatsuki who smirked at him and the other guy.
"Please take these!" Two girls spoke up as they handed chocolates to Kaname. "Oh, I'm sorry. Both of my hands are full, so I can't receive any more." He apologised. "N-no, that's okay! We apologise!" The two girls apologised as well as they bowed down to him. "I'm truly sorry." He apologised once again before walking away from his gate. "Good work, Yuki." He called out to her as he saw her holding up the other girls from the other gate. "Th-thank you!" She replied as she still stood in front of the gate, holding up the girls. "He's leaving already?" She asked in her mind. "Don't get hurt." He added before walking away. "I-I won't." Yuki replied as she could only watched him walked away. Her hand went to her blazer's pocket, holding the chocolate in her hand. "Looks like I missed my chance." She muttered in her mind. That was then when she was pushed down by the girls and her chocolate fell to the ground.
"Kuran-senpai." Yuki looked up and saw Zero had picked her chocolate up and threw it to Kaname, who caught it with ease. "You dropped that." He said nonchalantly. "Z-Zero!" Yuki stood up looking at him. Kaname turned his head to look at the chocolate in his hand. "I accept it. Thank you, Yuki." He said before he continued walking to his class. "A-ah.. I-It's nothing!" Yuki quickly replied before turning to Zero. "Geez... Why did you go ahead and give it to him without my permission?! You know I'd get mad too." She protested as she punched him around. "Watching you just annoyed me! I thought, 'Why won't she just give it to him?'" Yuki stopped and pouted slightly looking away. "He might have thought that it was problematic to receive one from me." Zero looked at her with a disbelief expression. "What's that supposed to mean?" Yuki did not answer, instead she just thought in her mind, "He...is different from me after all." Zero watched her from behind and saw her neck, making him felt his phase was coming. So he quickly walked away from her. Yuki who was still thinking that Kaname might not notice her as he was just her saviour ten years ago, did not realise that he had left, and she also did not know that she actually meant so much to Kaname.
"Kaname-sama, those must be bothersome. I'll hold them for you." Seiren who walked beside Kaname held out her hand to take the chocolates. "You might eat them if you'd like. I'm content with just this one." He walked ahead of her as he had handed out the chocolates to Seiren, leaving only the chocolate from Yuki, which he brought up to his lips to kiss it. Behind the tree, a certain reddish black haired girl saw how his face had became so sad and lonely, and she just stood there in silence, clutching the chocolate she held.

It was night time already, and it was the time for the night class students to attend their class, while the disciplinary committees had to patrol around the academy. However, it was not the night where night class students had to surround the disciplinary committee. "What's going on here?" Scarlet asked as she walked to the group of night class students surrounding the silver haired guy. "Fighting is prohibited. It's in the handbook, right?" She added as she saw the tension between them, not to mention the fire and the frozen ground. "If you insist on continuing it, then, I, as prefect, will be your opponent." She pulled out her long sword she had been carrying.
"Oh, you've come." Akatsuki was the one to spoke up first. "It seems like..." Hanabusa added. "Yeah, I'm not in the mood anymore now." Ruka finished. "Let's go back to the class." She said as she walked away from them, followed by the others. As soon as the night class students left, Scarlet sheated her long sword back then turned to look at Zero. "What do you think you're doing?" She sighed before looking at his expression. She did not speak more as he began walking away from her. She just sighed watching him left. She looked up at the dark sky that was decorated with all the stars above. "Zero... A dismissive and a closed-off heart... Just like always...and it will remain this way...
Only if he had nobody besides him."

"Ah, there you are." Yuki immediately said as she saw Zero sitting down on the floor inside the washing room, looking dejected and all. She walked in and saw that his hair was still wet. "Ah, you'll catch a cold if you don't dry it properly." She took the towel and helped with drying his hair. "You should also wear your shirt properly." She added as she helped him buttoned up his shirt and tidy it. "This part of you still hasn't changed, huh, Zero." She talked and Zero seemed somewhat surprised. "You should just talk to me...even a little." She said in a low voice as she finished buttoning his shirt.
"Oh, right." She pulled away and put her hand on her blazer's pocket and pulled out a wrapped of chocolate from it. "Here, I'll give you a chocolate. Now you can't say the thing are the same as we were in the elementary school." As Zero was too silent and did not even move from his spot, Yuki fed him the chocolate. "It's the only one I successfully made. It's one-of-a-kind exclusive. You'd better be thankful." She chirped to him giving a big smile. But Zero looked like he was eating something horrible as he gave her an unpleasant face, though his cheeks was dusted in pink for just a second. "Ah, what's with that unpleasant face? Geez..." Yuki crossed her arms in front of her chest and turned to look away from him, annoyed. Zero looked at her and he suddenly grabbed her shoulder. She turned to look at him confused. "Zero?" He just kept looking at her for another while before he stood up. "I told you to just leave me alone..." Then he left her alone in the room, where she found a tablet there.

"That's right... As long as Yuki is with you..." Scarlet muttered alone under her breath as she still stayed outside of her dorm. She looked down to see the chocolate that was still in her hand. She sighed and was about to throw it out to the lake when she heard a footstep. "Who's there?!"
