I've just finished up my 2nd period and am now going to my 3rd, I squeeze my way into my class and see a neatly folded note on my desk. I open it up while sitting on my desk, and to my surprise... it was blank. Nothing there, just a blank white piece of paper... wait, no there is something. In the bottom left corner reads "You blank piece of $3*!.". It doesn't even bother me anymore, I just throw it away and sit in my seat. Right before I sit down I realize everyone is looking at me, so I slowly sit down. "!!!" Of course, what did I expect? Flowers? Attention? Nope, neither. Just pin-tacks. In my seat. I swiftly stand up while everyone is laughing. "Why does this always happen to me?" I think as I swiftly wipe off all pin-tacks in my butt.
After the misery I had in math, was lunch. I love lunch because I don't have to talk to anyone, I just get to sit there and stare blankly at a wall while eating. Nothing better than having peace with no one else here. Annnd I spoke too soon. The kid that came into my class from the 2nd period is there, watching me watch a wall while I'm eating. I turn around and look at him. "Hmm... Hey?" he says with this light nervous laugh. I give a slight wave than continue eating. "Awkward," I think right as he taps me on the shoulder. He asks me what to talk about. All I can think now is, "Haha, you think you're clever, don't you?", I try to look at him and give him the most awkward and annoyed face I can make. I have to be good at using my facial expression since I don't talk because, well, I'm mute. He looks really confused right not, or did no one talk about me to him yet? No rumors? No lies? Or not even a simple "He's mute,"
Ding Ding Ding
The bell rings and everyone gets up and goes to their 4th period.
Once school is over I slowly mosey on too my locker, slowly tip-toe to the school's front doors, and I slowly get on my bus. I like to sit in the back that way I take longer to get home, but everyone annoying likes to sit in the back, including the new kid. Now that I think about I never even got his name, well... I never gave him mine so I guess it makes sense. I get off the bus and just like one of those stupid movies, he lives in my neighborhood. Great, I'm doomed. I don't want to walk home but maybe he isn't too bad. Maybe.
"So we live in the same neighborhood! Some kid said you lived in a haunted house somewhere far off in the woods, so I never thought I'd see you out of school. Haha! I guess rumors are everywhere, huh?... How come you haven't said anything yet? Are you not feeling well?"
I look at him then look down, I point to my house as if to say "Leave me alone, I'm at my house." He just smiles an... oddly charming smile, and says "Oh, ok guess I'll see you later, neighbor!" and walks to his house.
Did he even belong at that school? He seemed too tall, too.... mature? Oh well, I have to go back to hell anyway...
