Alone

Loneliness is a feeling we sometimes can't help but let consume us

A dark plague on our heart that can follow us around,

Darken our thoughts,

Leaving us isolated and unaware of everything around,

Loneliness isn't just having no friends,

Having no one to talk to,

It can melancholic feeling of brutal segregation from those around us,

That our minds fabricate,

Loneliness in a crowd can sometimes feel like having an invisibility cloak that won't come off,

No one around can truly see you but you can see them,

It's like looking through a one-sided window,

Where they just can't see you,

It's something that can eat you up at night,

Or make you not want to wake in the morning,

And the thing is not everyone can see,

How painful it can truly be,

To live your life feeling lonely
