I shut the door behind me and started on the gravel road.
"Wow, it's hard to believe I'm going to be 16 and get to see the two princes at that," I told myself. I could hear the songs the birds were singing, but they were interrupted by the sounds of horses galloping . I quickly moved over to the side. The sound got louder and louder till it came up beside me. I could see two white horses pulling a carriage. They slowed down to my pace. A voice shouted, "Miss!" I stopped dead in my tracks, as well as the horses. A million thoughts ran through my head.
Did he see my hair? Am I in the way? Did I do something wrong? My thoughts were interrupted when they shouted miss again. I turned around slowly making sure that my hair was hidden.
"Y-yes," I stuttered
"Do you know where the Latala village is?"
I responded with, "If you keep going straight you should get there, I'm heading there now."
I could see a head pop out of the carriage. Long blonde hair was flowing with the wind as well as a blue shirt with a white cloak around it.
"Would you like a ride," Another voice called out while holding a hand towards me.
"Are you sure I won't be a nuisance," I replied.
"Not at all."
I hesitated for a moment then grabbed his hand. I could hear the carriage door fly open and was yanked in. I stumbled as I sat down. The carriage started moving.
"I guess I should introduce myself. my name is Zane, prince of the elves," Zane said, "What's yours?"
We must've hit a rock because we hit a bump. I quickly grabbed the edge of my seat and held on tight. A voice came from outside, "Sorry."
I didn't realize it till after the princes eyes went wide. My hood fell off! I saw the princes reaction it was a mix between shocked and surprised. He had only one thing to say,
"Emi..."
