I sighed as I woke up, at last, I had a day off I got the promotion and had been working my arse off because of it, at last, I got a day off my plan was to just stay in bed all day but I heard my phone go off

'Hey, just got up On my way over X' it was from Arthur like normal he had been like this almost every day and I was getting sick of it I know he's my boyfriend but this is getting too much I feel smothered

"You don't need to Arthur" I sent back but there was no response within a minute or so I heard a knock on my door so I sighed slipping my dressing gown on and opening the door he stood there as cheery as normal with his bag on his shoulder

"hello darling" He smiles trying to kiss me but I stepped away "Something the matter?" He asks

"Arthur, can we just... not today?" I ask him

"What do you mean?" he asks

"Can I just have a day on my own?" I suggest

"Why? Is something the matter? Are you sick?" he asks sounding very worried

"no, I'm not sick just exaughsted," I tell him

"Ohh well I can come in make you some tea, cuddle up in bed if you-" he began

"No Arthur, just not today okay," I tell him

"Are you...." he asks "Are you breaking up with me?" he asks

"What no!" I answer in panic as his eyes began welling up with tears "No Arthur I'm not breaking up with you, I still love you" I smiled giving him a cuddle

"Have I done something? To upset you?" he asks making me look up to him

"No, No Arthur you haven't done anything, nothing wrong okay, just fancy a day on my own that's all, do girls stuff," I tell him

"Well I can help-" He began

"Arthur, come on we see each other every single day, just one day okay? Do our own stuff, you can sit and chill watch all your gory guy stuff and do your bike tinkering, and I can just have a day to myself too" I suggest

"Well...alright, if that's what you want" he sighed looking very upset

"Hey, tomorrow okay, I promise we can be together all day," I tell him giving his cheek a kiss he didn't even respond to me he looked a million miles away "See you tomorrow then Arthur" I tell him

"Okay, tomorrow" he said sounding like he was going to cry I gave him another tight hug but he didnt respond in any way and another kiss before I went inside and went back to bed.
