I groaned trying to get comfy in my bed and as I did I felt arms wrapping around me tightly almost to tightly and I felt little kisses down my spine "Good morning my darling" Arthur smiles between kisses
"Hi Arthur" I groan sitting up a little coughing a bit
"Ohh no! Felicity are you alright?" he asks sitting up and holding me tightly checking me over
"I'm fine I just feel a little sick," I tell him
"Oh darling, my poor little thing," he says giving me kiss "get dressed, put your little dress on and a cardigan I'm taking you to a doctor," he says getting up and starting to get dressed
"I'm not that sick Arthur" I tell him
"Well, I don't want to risk it my love," He says giving my head a kiss "Come on, I'll drive you" He smiles going off to do something else.
Arthur had been seeing me every day and often staying the night here with me or making me stay the night over there I had hardly been to work lately Arthur made sure I didn't go in luckily most of my work is just paperwork so they have been sending it digitally to me and I have been doing it all that way hopefully this will all start to wind down once Arthur gets back to work and I got dressed having to wrap uptight as I was very cold today even if it seems very warm outside by the sun and such like when I went down Arthur gave me a nice little cup of tea and took me down the street to his place to get in his car. He even put my seatbelt on for me.
We drove off into the town it was a very long way off from our little places down long winding country roads, with little bridges over trickling rivers, little stops to go over the little train tracks, overgrown branches cascading into the roadway some hanging where they get hit but the lorries and double-decker buses and we often had to stop at the little train tracks where trains would be coming by. Every time we stopped Arthur rested his hand on mine or on my leg reassuringly. When we got into town we drove quickly up to the doctors Arthur almost carried me inside he made me go and sit down so I sat in the little waiting room, the chair was harsh felt like material and old wooden hand rests splintering to the touch, The floor seemed to have a million marks on almost every chair in the place had a person on it all of them looking angry and upset. The Tv was playing the news but was on mute with the subtitles slowly catching up, every wall had a poster for some sort of vaccination or information.
"Call Today to book Your December Flu vaccination"
"If you notice a friend or family member looking unwell, tell them to seek medical attention"
"National metal health day 23rd Of March"
and many others about different things I looked at the table and saw a few magazines
"Sewing Monthly June 2014"
"Boat's and Fisherman weekly April 2012"
"Knitting Bimonthly Christmas Special December 2001"
"fashion Girl August 2017"
well at least one of them is current I suppose I tried to watch the Tv until Arthur sat beside me he sat in the little chair next to me undoing his jacket
"I signed you in, the doctor will see you as soon as he's free darling" He smiles giving my head a kiss
"Thank you" I smile almost coughing
"Ohh dear, I hope he sees you soon, your getting worse," he says
"I'll be fine," I tell him
"Liar" he laughs holding my hand "Did you want something to read while you wait?" he suggested and I shake my head he smiles getting up and going to investigate the table better he picked something out and sat back with me
"MotorBikes and MotorBuilding Issue 443 Nov 2016" it read with a huge picture of some tools and such on the front he sat giving it a read I leaned my head on his shoulder which made him smile giving my head a little kiss and wrapping an arm around me
"Don't worry, It won't be long" He says
"What do you think's wrong with me?" I ask
"Just a tummy bug maybe? Could have easily picked up a bad bug at work someone sneezes or coughs into there hands then touched there wallets or purses and touches there money and it ends up to you and the bank. It's easily done" he shrugs
"I don't want to make you sick," I tell him
"Aww darling, so kind of you to think of me" He laughs giving my head a kiss "Don't worry, I work with kids felicity, I have had every common illness under the sun and I have a very developed immune system because of it. Think the number of times I'm in contact with germs sometimes directly when kids just let snot run down there faces and onto there desks and pencils" He explains "Don't worry about me the day I get sick we know it's serious" he laughs
"Okay" I smile just as we heard a loud beep and above the TV, the little sign read
"Miss Smith to room 5"
"Not you" He laughs
"Ummm" I yawn
"Aww sleepy girl" He laughs holding my hand as he read his magazine we waited for a good long while I had lost track how long we had been sat here I kept looking at the corner where there was a little play space with toys and things where a little girl couldn't have been older then seven stood playing with some little space ship toy she seemed so happy in her little purple dress with her blonde curls she giggled looking into the waiting room area she smiles and waved I assume at her mum and dad but Arthur waved back at her and she ran over to us.
"Hello Mr Hariss" she smiles
"Hello Lillia" He smiles putting his magazine down and removing his arm from around me "You been doing your homework?" He asked
"Yes, I have almost got up to my Nines" she giggles
"Ohh well done, you be ahead when we go back then" he laughed
"Why are you here Mr Hariss? Are you sick?" she asked
"Ohh no, I'm alright I'm just taking care of my girlfriend" he smiles giving my cheek a kiss
"She's Beautiful" she smiles making me blush a little "Are you going to marry her?" she asked
"Maybe" Arthur shrugged "Where's your mummy Lillia?" he asks
"In with the doctor, checking up her tum" she smiles
"Of course you've got a little brother coming to haven't you" He laughs
"Yeah! I'm going to launch him into space" she giggles
"Lillia! What have I told you about talking with strangers?" a woman laughs coming from a hallway "Ohh Hello Mr Hariss" she smiles
"Hello Miss Lewis" he smiles
"Well come on Lillia we need to get home" she smiles taking the little girl away
"How?" I began
"from school" He answers just as we heard the large beep again and we looked up to the little screen
"Miss Warren to room 8"
"Come on honey" he smiles getting up and helping me up as we wondered down to the little room.
