“We found her!” shouted a man as he lifted his nose off his screen.
The man in a black suit printed the photo of the one who had just been designated by the program and left the room, at full speed.
He walked several corridors sumptuously decorated with gilding, oil paintings depicting all the members of the family who lived there, and magnificent sculptures.
“Miss, we found her! We found your Knight! he exclaimed as he suddenly entered a room even more sumptuous than the corridor.
— Really? replied a woman's voice from behind a screen.
— Yes, Miss.”
The young woman finished putting on her long scarlet dress before coming out from behind the screen.
She was a beautiful young woman with a princely look and long ebony hair.
She went to her jewelry boxes and attired herself.
“Who is it? she asked with a neutral voice.
— She' s called Violette Vertefeuille, about your age, although two years younger. She comes from a family of the common people. No known link to Yggdrasil. With correct results in class, she is currently studying economics at a renowned faculty. She doesn't look very athletic... If you ask me, she won't make a very good Knight...
— Your opinion doesn't matter, Henry, replied the young woman. If the Prism has designated her, and not another, it is not by chance.
— Yes, Miss. Sorry, Miss, Henry apologized.
— Where is she now? she asked.
— According to the Prism, she is in class, on the campus of her university. I can have the exact address and take you there now, if you want, Miss...
— Do so. We leave immediately.”

Violette Vertefeuille walked quickly holding her school bag firmly against her.
She had woken up late this morning and was afraid that she would only be three minutes ahead insterad of the usual fifteen minutes.
She put her glasses back on her nose and resumed her run.
When she finally arrived at her classroom, Violette slowly opened the door, embarrassed, before going to sit timidly in her place.
“Only three minutes early today? You're late, remarked the young woman sitting next to her.
— I know... I had trouble getting up... Violette muttered as she was doing her ponytail again.
— Be careful, if you relax now, you won't last until the end of the year... said her friend, with a wry smile on her face.
— You're right... Violette started before she saw the smile on her face. You know, Charlotte, sometimes I feel like you're making fun of me, but I still can't be sure...
— I know and I find that hilarious, Charlotte replied without hiding her smile.
— Stop laughing at me! exclaimed Violette.
— Never!” she replied, laughing.
The economics course that started at that time did not give them time to finish their bickering.

The class was just beginning to be interesting, when a young woman with black hair in a long scarlet dress made a smashing entrance.
She approached the stage from where the teacher was looking at her, in a dazed look.
“Professor, is Violette Vertefeuille here?
— Uh... You know there are over five hundred students in this room?
— It doesn't answer my question, she replied.
— No kidding... he sighed.
— It's okay, I found her. You can resume your lesson.
She climbed a few stairs from this amphitheatre before reaching Violette's seat, who looked up with amazement at the arrival of this stranger who had been shouting her name ever since she had interrupted the class.
— Violette Vertefeuille?
— Yes... she replied shyly.
— Get your things, you're coming with me.
— I... started stuttering Violette.
— Now,” she said, firmly.
Having no choice, nor the guts to refuse in front of a full amphitheatre, Violette tidied up her things quickly but in an orderly manner and followed the young woman out of the room.
The door closed behind them, leaving an entire amphitheatre amazed to resume the course.
Once in the corridor, Violette, still completely lost, took her courage with both hands and asked:
“Uh... I... she stammered.
— You're probably wondering why I made you come with me, cut her off, the young woman.
— Yes... Among other things...
— My name is Iris Leroy. From now on, you will be my knight.
— I...
— Listen to me until the end. Since the dawn of time, two forces have been fighting each other in order to seize the Prism, the power to transform reality.
The Prism is transmitted from mother to daughter in my family and since my mother's death, I have been its new possessor.
However, a crawling organization is trying to kill the detainee to seize the power, this organization calls itself Yggdrasil.
Only the Prism holder cannot use its power, in each generation, the Prism chooses a Knight worthy to wear its Shard and use part of its power to protect its holder from Yggdrasil.
And you are my knight.
— I... Uh... That is... Violette stammering at all this absurd story.
— I know, you're stunned by so many revelations upsetting your perception of the world... Iris cut her.
— Uh... Not really... Everything you just said makes absolutely no sense...
— Yet this is the only truth, Iris replied.
— No chance... Violette muttered.
— Whatever, you'll have proof soon enough. Do you accept to be my Knight?
— I... I don't know you, I don't believe a word you just told me and I... I have no idea how to fight... Violette whispered, who no longer knew where to put herself.
— I'm sorry... Iris replied.
— Me too... Violette replied.
— No, I meant I didn't express myself well. You don't have a choice. The Prism has chosen you to be my Knight and you cannot refuse.”
She took off one of her rings and handed it to Violette.
“This is your Prism's Shard. He will allow you to borrow some of its powers when you need them.”
In spite of herself, Violette grabbed the ring before realizing what she had just done.
“I'm sorry... But I can't accept, she said, handing over again what she had just received.
— It's too late. The Prism has designated you, and you can't refuse. Soon, Yggdrasil will be chasing you because once you fall, nothing will stop them from reaching me.
— I'm sorry, but I don't believe you at all... No normal person would believe what you just said... Violette stammered as she rushed away.
— Wait! exclaimed Iris, who could hold her back. And damn it...”
She looked at Violette leaving without being able to do anything before joining her servant who was waiting for her a little further away.
“You couldn't expect another result given the way you approached her...
— Send someone to follow her. Don't let Yggdrasil find her before I can convince her.
— Yes, Miss!”
