Alan's pov
No one knew his name, I barely knew he existed like pretty much everyone else. Kids are bullied and last time I checked you don't always like do introductions right before their bullied, which I'm pretty sure doesn't happen for a reason. Just imagine, "Oh hi sir, my name is Alan and- oh you just got punched..."
So I didn't notice him, I only began to when-
"Hi." Duke said grinning down at a kid darkly.
I was behind Duke with Landon and Kaden. Sorry, more like behind some other guy's in the Trex group. Which I'm kinda in the group myself. Yeah, Duke was a bully at times but I was never usually around when he was one. So when he was, I froze in place not knowing how to really react or what to do.
"Do you mind moving, you're all in my space." the boy breathed out and glanced around quickly as Duke laughed.
"That's where you're wrong, you're taking up all the space fattie." the last word rolled off his tongue making my eyes widen slightly as the air around us felt like it thickened.
The boy blinked at Duke instead of crying. Most would have cried and ran off. He raised an eyebrow after his little moment of blinking, and the next thing he did-
"Move." the boy said bumping Duke with his shoulder to get by, making Duke's eyes widen as the boy waddled past us.
"Duke, that fat ass just got away!" a boy apart of the Trex group yelled.
This spread like wild fire before we knew it.

"Does everyone have to talk about it?" I asked gently as some girls that past us were gossiping about the event before.
I glanced at Duke who's nose flared. I quickly looked back at Landon and Kaden. Kaden shrugged as Landon just whistled. Duke eventually stormed off, making it just the three of us. I had no clue where the rest of the Trex group was.
"Their pissin Duke off." Landon laughed watching Duke push past people in the halls. Soon his laughing was cut off by Kaden who nudged him.
"Shut your mouth, if he hears you say that you'll be in deep shit." Kaden said making Landon roll his eyes as he rubbed his arm where he was nudged.
We eventually went out separate ways to class when the second bell rung. In English I realized the kid Duke had tried picking on was in my class. I only noticed because while all of us were seated working he had stood up only a few minutes later with his paper. He went up to the teacher at her desk and I guess he finished early since he handed her his paper.
I squinted slightly glancing up here and there from my paper. The kid and teacher chatted a bit then he started walking up to students at their desks. The teacher must have told him to help other out with their work since he finished early, typical. Not saying it's always a bad thing. But everyone he came to either ignored or declined rudely. Eventually he came up to my desk. I felt all eyes on me. I glanced away, hoping he'd go to someone else.
"Do you need help?" I heard him ask, surprisingly confident and I glanced up only to meet his stomach before I saw his face. It made me feel slightly bad for the kid.
"Um... I don't exactly know what to do on most of the questions and I don't want to waste your time." I said quickly and he blinked.
"Get your fat ass out of my face." a boy in the desk before me said making some people around him laugh.
The kid was simply asking if I needed help, cleared his throat moving to the opposite side of my desk which was near the wall. I could tell he didn't have much space where he now stood. He still seemed to have the same amount of confidence he had when he first came to my desk.
"We can start on number one." he said pointing at it on my paper and I nodded before he started explaining.
He helped me with a few more questions then had some trouble he getting back to his desk. As I did the rest of my work I felt people staring at me. I took a deep breath then let it out ignoring the feeling and continued my work, not bothering to look up and glance around if I was being stared at. The bell eventually rang and we all packed up then headed out for lunch.
After the long process to get lunch, I was at the table eating and chatting with Kaden. Out of no where I heard someone clear their through as Landon sat down across from me. I glanced to the left, where I heard the noise to see Stacie. I swallowed hard and turned around to look at the beauty before me fully. Her golden brown locks was held in a ponytail with a purple scrunchie. Her hazel eyes stared at me and her pink lips were turned up into a smile.
"Hey." she said pushing some of her hair beind her ear.
"Err...hey." I said as Landon snorted making me shoot him a glare before looking back at her.
"So, you know the Halloween Dance right?" she asked gently and I nodded almost gagging, I usually went to the Trex group party which I guess wasn't any better. "Well I was wondering if you would like to help getting ready for it?" she asked and I nodded eagerly.
"I'd love to." I said smiling which she returned it back. "Oh, um so you should probably get my phone number to let me know about it and more." I said waving my hand grabbing a napkin as she blinked but handed me her pen that once was in her shirt pocket.
I quickly wrote my number in the red ink before handing it to her. She smiled taking it and thanked me before walking off. I turned back to the table to see Kaden glaring at me as Landon had his mouth covered with his hands snorting.
"Your bailing on us, for a girl." Kaden glared harder at me.
"I can't believe you forced your number on her." Landon finally laughed and I shot him a glare before looking at Kaden.
"I didn't bail on you guys, I can go to both." I said and Kaden rolled his eyes.
"Yeah right, good luck with that. When Duke finds out he won't be a happy camper." Kaden said making me huff, regretting my decisions.
"When is Duke ever happy?" Landon asked rolling his eyes before eating some of his spaghetti, slurping it into his mouth making me scrunch up my nose when tomato sauce spattered onto the table.

I had just got back home from playing basket ball with Landon after school. It was about four-thirty p.m. now. I dropped my bag on the floor next to my bed then flopped down on my bed. I laid back looking up at the ceiling and before I could even have some thoughts to myself my phone had buzzed.
I blinked sitting up gently. I dug in my pocket for my phone then pulled it out before laying back down. I wonder who was texting me, maybe Landon or Kaden. What could they want?
(415) 5XX-XXX7
(415) 5XX-XXX7: Hello stranger
Me: Um...hi?
Who was this texting me? Obviously not Landon or Kaden, their in my phone. Even Duke was in my phone and we rarely ever texted or even spoke to each other at school. Oh! Maybe it's Stacie?
(415) 5XX-XXX7: Let's just say I'm your stalker ;)
I shot up quickly turning my head towards my window then at my open door. No one was there. I glanced at my closet that was slightly open but their was nothing but clothes. I heard my phone buzz and looked down at it picking it up.
(415) 5XX-XXX7: Made you look didn't I? I'm not that of a creep.
Me: Not that of a creep? You scared me have to death.
(415) 5XX-XXX7: You interest me human. And yeah, since I found your number in my school I'm guessing your a peer of mine. So I assume you must know me as a creep.
Me: There's a lot of creeps at my school.
Shoot! Stacie must have dropped my number.... and to think I had a shot with her. Guess it's karma for bailing on my friends.
I sighed getting off my bed and walked over to my closet closing it. I didn't feel too comfortable with this stranger texting me. Not to mention a supposedly creep! I walked over to my window closing the curtains, then went to my door shutting it to hear my phone buzz on my bed. I went back to my bed picking up my phone.
(415) 5XX-XXX7: So you don't know who I am? Heh, not a surprise. Maybe things are better this way, we don't have to ever know who the other is.
Me: And...that's a good thing?
(415) 5XX-XXX7: Yes.
Me: Well can I at least know
your name?
(415) 5XX-XXX7: Call me BOB.
Me: Was the caps necessary?
(415) 5XX-XXX7: Is your back talk neccessary?
I rolled my eyes clicking on his contact to edit it. I changed his contact name to "BOB". The caps did bother me though. I clicked back on our messages. I could block him, I could ignore him, I could do a lot. But a creep from school probably means he doesn't have friends. Be the nice guy?
BOB
Me: So...BOB
BOB: Just say Bob or bob on
here dimwit.
Me: Well gee! Okay, Bob.
Bob: Better.
