Abigail sat there, in complete shock. She was over-thinking things; this is what friends did, no feelings attached. Abigail should have said no; she should have denied, this was going to hurt Abigail later, Isabel just wanted someone to test things on and Abigail was her guinea pig. But Abigail just couldn't let this opportunity pass and anyways, it's not like she was asking Abigail. She was commanding her.
Abigail leaned forward on her knees, her eyes searching for assurance from Isabel. Isabel held no emotions in them, not a slight bit of discomfort or shock.
"You sure?"
"You're acting as if, I'm your lover and we're about to have sex. It's just a kiss, gosh." Abigail felt her heart being squeezed. It was amazing how hurtful Isabel's words were yet Abigail always followed her around. The sentence sparked fire in Abigail's core, her aggression taking the best of her as she assertively placed her lips onto Isabel's.
That was it. That was enough for Abigail to burst internally with joy. Their lips weren't moving, they stayed in their position, still. However, accepting the fact that her lips were meeting Isabel's caused all the built up butterflies to be released at once in her stomach.
Isabel pulled away, whilst Abigail gathered herself in rejection.
"I think that was enough." Isabel grinned. "So?"
"Your lips are soft." Abigail murmured.
"Thanks baby girl." Oh there she went again with the name calling. Abigail's cheeks were turning bright red and the humidity of the weather wasn't helping. She wanted to feel Isabel's body, scooting closer Abigail jumped onto Isabel, tightly squeezing her waist with her arms. Isabel responded to the hug, pull her body closer.
"Abigail, are you sure you're okay? You've been acting really strange lately." She whispered near her ear quietly as if she was some sort of an animal. Abigail let go hesitantly, she reminded herself how Isabel was not hers, she was Nate's girlfriend.
"I think I need to go home. The heat's making my headache worse." Abigail got up and dismissed herself doubtfully. Isabel grabbed her arm, attempting to stop her, but Abigail was in no mood to compromise. She ran across the now-empty field and back to the changing rooms to get her bag.

Abigail entered her home, an eerie quietness surrounding the air, her mom came through in a worry.
"Mom, what's going on?" Abigail's mother had on a stern look.
"Your father and Tiffany had another fight. She left the house and your father's looking for her now." Abigail gulped, she hated coming home to fights or arguments.
"And now I'm going out to find both of them. You never know what you're father's capable of doing." Abigail nodded her head understandingly. Her father could get pretty verbally abusive, especially towards Tiffany.
As her mother headed out the door, Abigail ran up the stairs and to her bedroom. The house was quiet for once and Abigail could finally get some thinking time. She dropped her bag onto the floor and laid in her bed with her sweaty cheer outfit still on.
She had pictured many scenarios in her head of Isabel kissing her. She never knew that it would come true one day. It was just a two-second peck, but for Abigail just in that short span of a moment, time seemed to have stopped.
Abigail picked up her phone and saw that she had two messages from Isabel.

How's your head?
OMG I'm with Nate alone. I'm so excited !!
She decided ignoring her would make things more suspicious, her fingers floated above her screen, unsure of what to text back.
It's fine now. Thanks for asking x
Haha, have fun (;
Abigail was glad that this was over text and not in real life; her real emotions were not being shown. She needed to get Isabel out of her head and what better way to do that than to meet up with Avery?
Hey can we meet up?
Almost in an instant, Avery's reply came through.
Yes! The park in 5.
Abigail ran back down the stairs, not bothered to change her clothes. It was just Avery after all, he had seen her sweaty and tired multiple times.
She walked through the street, getting closer to the park with each step. She could see Avery standing next to the swings, his jacket held firmly in his hand.
"Yo Avy." Avery cocked his eyebrow.
"Avy? Seriously." He gave a toothy smile at the new found nickname. "Abby and Avy. I do like the sound of that." His smile transformed into a full smirk, Abigail winking in response. She sat down onto the swings, making small movements as Avery sat beside her. "What's up?"
"Same old, same old. You?"
"I'm trying to get the girl I like to notice me." Avery smiled sadly, kicking the gravel under his feet.
"Is it working?"
"Not sure." Abigail wholeheartedly felt bad for Avery, sure he was a player, but he was never the one to fall so deep for a girl.
"I'm sure everything will turn out fine." Abigail smiled reassuringly.
The two fell into a deep pit of silence, Abigail yawned, the fatigue getting the best of her. Surprisingly, Avery placed her head onto his shoulder, memories of earlier came rushing through Abigail's mind. How Isabel did the same but on her lap.
Avery was surprised that Abigail allowed such an action. He sighed to himself, if only she knew.
Abigail's phone started buzzing in her hand, removing her head from Avery's shoulder, she answered the phone call.
"Abigail get home, it's urgent."
And the call ended, she always hated when her parents did that but surely that meant something serious had happened. She hopped off the swing, ready to say goodbye to Avery.
"I need to go, my mom wants me home." She spoke, getting closer to hug him farewell. Avery couldn't hold himself, leaning forward he placed a chaste kiss upon Abigail's lips, his hands cupping her face. She pulled back in an instant, unable to form any words.
"I have to go." She turned and left, her body still in shock.
What was that all about?
