Abigail arrived home, she could tell that the tense atmosphere from earlier had only gotten worse. She heard soft sobs coming from the center of the house. Oh no...she thought. She already knew where this was heading. Taking small, feather steps, Abigail wandered into the living room. Tiffany sat in the middle, the side of her face slightly bruised with her mother on her side comforting her. Abigail's eyes pooled with uncertain tears.

"What's going on?" She asked even though she already knew the answer to that question. This was the third time it'd happened in a month. Her mother shook her head slightly.

"Nothing sweetie, go to your room for now."

"Let her stay, she can watch her sister cry more." Her fathers piercing voice shot through her. At once Tiffany got up, running out the room, Abigail could feel the warm liquid streaming down her cheeks. Her father was drunk; this was only the beginning of something so horrible. She heard a clicking noise and she knew Tiffany was gone again. This only seemed to anger her father more."There she goes again! If she wants to rot outside, fine by me." His voice held so much anger that Abigail was scared for her own life, as she attempted to muffle her sobs.

Abigail's father turned on his heel and stomped up the stairs as her mother went looking for Tiffany yet again, leaving Abigail behind to collect herself. She knew that he had punched Tiffany on her face, her father really was capable of doing such horrid things, but none of the family ever spoke about it. They all suffered in silence.

There was no point of Abigail being here, she quietly made her way out the house, scared that her father might even come after her. But what she was even more scared about was Tiffany's health. Abigail had caught her sister twice ending her life, that was enough for Abigail to be cautious of her every step...What if she did it again?

Abigail's sobs were now full-on cries of sorrow, she needed somewhere to be for the night. She rang Delilah's number, waiting for her to pick up.

"Hey."

"Can I come over?" Abigail croaked out, fully aware her voice was going to sound dramatic on the other side of the call.

"Oh my god, yes-of course!" Delilah's voice held worry for her best friend as she instantly said yes.

In seconds, Delilah hugged Abigail's body, whispering soothing words into her ear. Delilah knew what it was like for Abigail back home so when she saw Abigail standing there, still in her cheer uniform, with tears streaming down, she definitely knew something happened again.

"I'll get you some water." Delilah got up and exited the room. Abigail really wanted to be at home, but she knew it wasn't safe with her drunk father there. She wanted to know where Tiffany was, if she was even safe, however her phone was turned off. Sometimes Abigail's family really stressed her.

Delilah came back with a glass of water in one hand, Abigail downed the liquid, it felt cool passing through her dry throat. She sat there quietly, both girls not knowing what to say. The door opened and in came through a very stressed-Isabel.

Abigail's eyes widened, what was she doing here? Why wasn't she with Nate? Directly looking at Abigail, Isabel's heart softened, she seemed like an abandoned puppy and Isabel wanted nothing more than to hug her.

"Sorry, I called her over as soon as you arrived." Abigail didn't understand, she thought Delilah didn't like Isabel much, why would she call her over? Abigail felt embarrassed with her tear-stained cheeks and her red, swollen eyes, she hated when Isabel saw her vulnerability.

Isabel gave Delilah a quick hug then pulled Abigail onto her feet.

"Let's go for a walk."She spoke softly and all Abigail could do was to stare up at those hazel eyes.

The pair walked down the street, neither of them speaking. Abigail recognized that Isabel was going in the direction of her house. "You'll be spending the night with me." Abigail's heart skipped a beat.

"No, it's fine. I'll go back-"

"Please Abigail." Abigail knew Isabel was going to push her until she had no choice, willingly Abigail let Isabel lead the way. It was amazing how she lived so close to her friends.

"So what happened?" Isabel asked whilst Abigail cringed, she didn't want Isabel knowing. Abigail had only told her minimal details about how her sister was suicidal, nothing more. It's not that she didn't trust Isabel, because she really did, it was just that talking to your crush about your problems just didn't stick well. Isabel took the silence as an invitation of not opening up and she let the topic drop.

As the two walked to Isabel's room, Abigail's heart started beating erratically. Being in the same room as Isabel was going to be pure torture. Isabel picked out some shorts and a plain shirt for Abigail to get into. Grabbing the clothes, she waited till Isabel was out the room to change.

"Can I come in?"

"Yeah." Isabel walked in with the most gorgeous smile, Abigail couldn't contain the small smile that was also forming on her face as well. She sat onto her bed, Isabel pulling her towards herself. Isabel stroked her thighs in circles and Abigail wished she hadn't given her such shorts that exposed so much skin, she felt self-conscious.

"Isabel, didn't you say you were with Nate?" Abigail asked, her doe eyes peering up into yellow orbs.

"We were only kissing, my friend's health matters more. " Abigail felt bad for disturbing their session but at the same time her face light up at the words. Abigail tightened her hold on Isabel involuntarily, she smelled seductive- if that even was a scent. Abigail wanted nothing more than to be lying in the same bed as her crush, whilst she soothed down.

"You know this is the first time I've seen you cry." Abigail realized that was true, she had never in her entire life had cried once in front of Isabel. "It's rather cute." She joked and Abigail faced her with a sarcastic glare.

For a split second she saw Isabel's eyes shifting to her lips and before she knew it, Isabel was leaning closer.
