There were a lot of things Abigail was unsure of, one of them being Avery asking her out. It came out as a surprise to her. She didn't know which factor in her mind triggered her to say yes, but Abigail felt as though she needed this relationship. Avery on the other hand, was jumping with joy. The girl of his dreams had accepted to be his girlfriend and he couldn't have been more happier.

Abigail walked with uncertainty to the canteen. She skimmed the area and found Avery calling her over, she noticed he was not alone. Avery was sitting with his friends, Abigail knew them as the football team, Nate being one of them. As she neared the table, Avery pulled her onto his lap, Abigail gasping at the small action. She smiled sweetly at Avery and said a polite 'hello' to the rest of his friends.

"How are you doing?" He whispered, pecking her lips. Abigail still wasn't too fond of his affection but looked past it.

"Fine and you?" She grinned, cupping his face, she could feel the rest of the table staring at them in awe. Abigail turned her head and caught the back of Isabel's head, her hair was let out in loose waves that tumbled down her back. She could see Isabel sitting next to her friends, the ones that Abigail didn't really talk to. Karla had whispered something and Isabel had started laughing. Guess Abigail was now replaced by Karla.

After she had lashed out on Isabel Abigail had not talked to her yet, she was mostly scared to.

She saw Tyler and Delilah joining Isabel's table, feeling a little left out, Abigail pouted. Was Isabel going to talk to her after what Abigail had said? Abigail scoffed, why was she thinking this?It wasn't Abigail's fault, she was going to wait for Isabel to make the first move and come forward. Abigail had a boyfriend now, she wasn't going to beg someone who didn't even bother to look twice at her.

The bell rung and Abigail retrieved her bag, she was going to her last class and then she could go home, luckily there was no cheer practice. She got off Avery's lap, just as she was about to leave, Avery grabbed her waist.

"Forgetting something?" He smirked, giving Abigail a hard kiss on the lips. She pulled back and turned her attention elsewhere, a small blush creeping onto her cheeks. Looking forward, she locked eyes with Isabel, her heart thumped at the fact that Isabel saw her kissing. Isabel turned her body and went the other way, the smile on Abigail's face disappearing.

"Awn you're blushing. I'll see you later cutie." Avery winked and walked with his friends whilst Abigail recollected herself.

Abigail shut her locker and strolled through the deserted hallways. She felt some bliss knowing the school year was coming to an end. Her plan was to enjoy her summer vacation without any stress and do whatever she pleased.

Turning the corner, Isabel came into view. Abigail didn't know what to do, was she going to turn and go back or walk forward?

"Hey." Abigail was surprised Isabel was talking to her. Abigail gave a small smile, wanting to carry on walking. "Please, can we talk." Abigail released a trapped sigh, cocking her eyebrow.

"Okay, what is it?" Abigail asked as sweetly as possible, but it came out bitchy and fake. She bit her tongue, Abigail didn't want Isabel to think she was some butt-hurt bitch who was holding a grudge against her.

"I'm sorry. I am genuinely, truly sorry. As ignorant as it sounds, I never really looked at you as someone I could use." Isabel's eyes held much remorse, Abigail couldn't help but let all her defenses down. "I just want us to be friends again. Can you forgive me?" She asked.

"Isabel, you're still my friend." Abigail's forehead creased slightly. Isabel crushed her into a tight hug, Abigail had forgotten how amazing her hugs had felt, they were so full of life and comfort.

"I heard you're going out with Avery, I'm so happy for you." She whispered in Abigail's ear, causing the hair's on Abigail's back to rise.

"Uh yeah, I guess it just happened." Oddly enough, talking to Isabel about her boyfriend felt weird. Isabel linked their fingers together and the two began walking out.

Every now and then, Isabel would apply slight pressure onto Abigail's hand, squeezing it as if she didn't want to let go- or so Abigail thought.

"I'm sorry as well." Abigail rasped out. Isabel squinted her eyes in confusion.

"You have nothing to be sorry about. I was the bitch, I didn't know what came over me." She smiled, squeezing Abigail's hand even tighter. Abigail noticed Isabel had a deep, red tint near her collarbone. She stared at it for longer and realized that it was a hickey, her stomach churned at the thought of Isabel receiving a hickey from Nate.

"Is that a hickey on your neck?" Abigail asked, having more control over her voice. Isabel nodded her head, rubbing her fingers on the area.

"Nate becomes quite an animal in bed." Isabel spoke seductively, Abigail giving a small murmur. Isabel noticed her change of mood and decided to change the topic. "So there's a party Nate's friend is hosting, do you wanna come? I'm sure Avery will be there too."

"Sure, as long as it's not too late, my parents will get worried." Isabel chuckled at her anxiousness.

"Tell your mom you'll be at mine for a sleepover, then we can leave together." Abigail wasn't sure about Isabel's suggestion, she wasn't even a big fan of parties. Drunk, hormonal teenagers grinding against each other? No thanks. Abigail would much rather stay home and watch a movie, but since Avery and Isabel were going how could she have said no?

"Okay."

"I honestly missed your presence, even if it was just for three days. It felt horrible." Isabel admitted and Abigail's face lit up. She decided not to put too much thought onto her words, she had a boyfriend now, she needed to forget about her crush.
