Avery tightened his hold around Abigail's waist, pulling their bodies together as they made their way to the party. Abigail didn't want to lie to her parents; she just hoped that everything went smooth and no trouble was caused. Being under the eyes of Avery, she felt safe yet also uncomfortable. She repeated to herself over and over again that Avery was her boyfriend, she shouldn't feel cringed when they kissed or even touched. Abigail's mantra was not working, she kept wincing at Avery's slightest touch.

As soon as they hit the doors, Abigail desperately wanted to go home. The strong stench of alcohol and sweat combined suffocated the air, the house was dark inside with some lights shining here and there. However the structure of the penthouse was very modern, no doubt the owner was rich. She hardly knew anyone there, only some familiar faces were present. She searched the crowd and her sight landed on Isabel, Abigail frowned seeing her kiss Nate. For Abigail it was a involuntary response, she would always grimace whenever the two got intimate.

"Come on." Avery guided a lost Abigail through the crowd and to Nate and Isabel. In the corner of her eyes, she could see Delilah flirting with a boy she didn't know. Abigail felt a little surprised, Delilah was more cautious than this.

Abigail awkwardly placed herself next to Avery on the couch, she was getting a front row view of Nate and Isabel making out. Avery began talking to his friend and Abigail was feeling even more left out.

Isabel and Nate finally split apart, Abigail muttering a 'finally' low enough for only her to hear.

"Hey Abigail." Abigail forced a smile to Nate, hurt that Isabel didn't even bother looking at her. Instantly when Nate turned his attention back to Isabel, Abigail felt as though she was invisible- some party this was.

Getting up, Abigail excused herself and went to the kitchen to get some space. She grabbed a plastic, red cup and poured water into it, leaning on the counter Abigail took small sips.

She straightened as soon as a foreign blonde walked into the room, she smiled at Abigail and poured liquor for herself. Abigail took in her appearance, it was no surprise that this girl was beautiful. She wore ripped skinny jeans and a very skimpy top.

"Well hi there." She chuckled, noticing how Abigail was eyeing her clothing. Abigail gave a negligible wave, retreating as she took steps towards her. "I'm Chloe." She took her hand out and Abigail gave it a firm shake.

"Abigail." Abigail replied, removing her hand and taking a large gulp from her cup.

"Whoa, trying to forget your sorrows?" Chloe joked, lifting her brows.

"By drinking water? I guess you can say that." Chloe broke out into laughter, a smile edging it's way onto Abigail's face.

"You're quite a rebel. Breaking into someone's kitchen and drinking all their water." Abigail placed her cup down, faking offence.

"First of all, this is a party. Second of all, I don't think the owner of the house minds."

"And what if they do mind?" Chloe asked holding a vexatious smirk.

"Then I'll have to find a way to make them forgive me." Abigail had no excuse for why she was flirting with a girl she just met, she was probably getting under the influence of tap water.

"Well you better find a way, because I'm waiting impatiently." Chloe moved closer and Abigail felt trapped in between her and the counter. So she was the one hosting the party?

Abigail opened her mouth, about to speak but Isabel had beat her to it.

"Where were you, we were getting worried." Isabel also took steps towards them, her confidence filling the room. Chloe eyed Isabel and Abigail felt nervous, did they know each other?

"Isabel." Chloe spoke, the smirk from earlier now completely gone.

"Chloe." Isabel replied in the same tone. Abigail didn't like the tension they were creating, they definitely knew each other from past experience and Abigail was guessing it wasn't a good experience.

"I see you've met Abigail." Isabel grasped Abigail's arm, pulling her towards her side protectively. Abigail was a little confused, it's not like Chloe was going to hurt her.

"I have. She's a pure joy to talk to." Chloe winked shamelessly and Isabel scoffed, her grip on Abigail tightening.

"She has a boyfriend."

"Well it's not like I'm having sex with her." Chloe replied sarcastically, Isabel rolling her eyes. Abigail didn't know what to say or do. She was sandwiched in between two gorgeous girls who were ready to slit each other's throats.

"I'll get going." Abigail interjected, walking past the two, feeling both of their eyes burn into her skin.

She walked into the room, seeing Avery play beer pong with his friends, Abigail walked to Delilah and Tyler. She didn't understand Isabel at times, she acted as though she was her mother yet at other times she didn't even care about Abigail. She actually felt free around Chloe, throughout the whole night she had the most fun talking to Chloe but Isabel just had to come in the way of that.

Abigail wondered why Isabel and Chloe didn't like each other, were they close before?

"Abs what you thinking about?" Tyler asked, drawing small circles on Abigail's back.

"Abs?" Abigail chuckled. "Nothing, just how boring this party is." Abigail had to leave when Isabel was leaving since she was going to spend the night at her house.

"Boring? It's been quite fun, I've kissed many guys." Delilah slurred, clearly under alcohol's influence.

Abigail got up and walked upstairs, all that water made her desperate to use the bathroom and they were located at the top floor. She hastily turned the door knob and went inside.

Abigail got out the toilet, she felt a little refreshed after tying her hair up and splashing cold water onto her face. It seemed as though no one was upstairs, Abigail walked through the hall. She needed to call her mom and inform her she was alright. Abigail walked towards a half-opened room.

Stopping in her tracks, she placed her hand firmly on top of her mouth to prevent any gasps escaping.

Chloe and Isabel were going at it on the bed, kissing passionately.
