Narrator: good morning readers. It's been a couple days since the last episode. An more sense i have been apart of the series, i was out for strep but i suppose the story did a good job of telling itself. Over the past couple of days the king has worked very hard to spread flyers, an even have had a few people interested, but refuse at the last minute. The king has found ways to relieve some garvelasks from there jobs. But most of them still work. But what the king didn’t know. Is that the upcoming annual “garvelask horse race” is coming up. Lets see how he takes the news

*the king is walking, with a fast pace, towards his bedroom, papers in hand. He is out of breath from running across the castle. With his last few steps he takes. He enters his room to find Katy, dressed in armor. Getting ready for the race.*

King: umm, is this a bad time or am i missing something? What's going on

Katy: no this is the perfect time. I’m getting ready for the annual “garvelask horse race” one of the only things you would let us do. It happens once a year an the best of the best garvelasks get to race horses. Because i’m you personal servant i get to have my own horse.

King: well, what else happens at this “race”

Katy: well, normally you make a few announcements, sense this is one of the only things the whole town gets together to do. Than you send all of us down to race. Sense i’m the only one with my own horse, most of the other racers get bucked off there horses an usually I'm the winner.

King: well that's no fair.

Katy: yeah, it's not. An i normally feel bad but you usually put a lot of pressure on me, mostly because of the bets

King: well, would people mind if i, changed it up a little?

Katy: depends on what you have planned.

King: well, these jobs won't fill themselves. And i’m sure we can get a hold of some horses for the others to train with.

Katy: yeah, we could do that. But their are 119 contestants. How are you going to fill those jobs

King: we have extra gold to go around. I know that i won't be able to fill those jobs with humans. So i might be able to bribe some of the half day workers to fill in for them an the ones we have gotten out of jobs.

Katy: okay, so if everyone of them agrees, we will have exactly 198 filled jobs.

King: well, what jobs can be left undone

Katy: most of them. Only like 6 of them need to be done. But you have them doing pointless jobs

King: how many of these pointless jobs are their

Katy: that many

King: release them from the jobs at once, and get them horses. Where can they train

Katy: probably the arena i train at

King: can it fit all of them?

Katy: yeah. I’m not sure why but you build one the size of the actual track for me to practice

King: okay than perfect.

Katy: where do you want me to get the horses from?

King: what do we use for the race

Katy: you normally buy all new horses for them and sell them to the highest bidder after the race

King: where do we buy the horses

Katy: the kingdom down the road a little ways

King: can we still get them from their

Katy: i have revived word they they don't have enough

King: can we add the horses we have?

Katy: we have exactly 198 horses than

King: plus yours it's perfect

Katy: no. that's including mine

King: well, i guess we need to find one more horse, in the meantime you head down the the kingdom and get the horses. I can manage things while you gone.

Katy: i will be gone for two days, are you sure?

King: i will be fine

*katy gets dressed, rounds up the troops, and heads out. The king waves them away from his bedroom window. He thinks to himself “man, i haven't had time to walk around the castle, an every time I'm with someone they keep me away from certain areas. So let’s explore.” he walks down the hallways he ends up at a room, labeled “KING ONLY” he opens the door and walks in*

King: man, if i didn't want anyone to be in hear i probably should have put a lock on that damn door

Voice: welcome king phili

King: umm, i think you have the wrong guy. I'm king NoName

Voice: it's been a while, do you forget who i am?

King: considering that i haven't been here before. No, i just don't know you. Who are you

Voice: you poor fool. Messing with technology got you memory loss

King: yeah it has, so what? Who are you?

*the disembodied voice steps out of the shadow to reveal a large red dragon. You could hear the chains rattle as it stepped out from the shadows, it's wings cut an torn.*

Dragon: does this ring a bell?

King: ...nope. Can’t say it does

Dragon: you seriously don't remember slaughtering my entire family and taking me hostage. Being solely responsible for making dragons extinct?

King: i did that?

Dragon: YES you DID

King: hmm, i guess that sounds like something that past me would do

Dragon. What do you mean?

King: well, i have changed. And i honestly had no idea that you were here. An i definitely had no idea that i did those things to you

Dragon: you used to keep me as a pet, you even made this castle so that i could walk the halls, until one day you chained me up hear, an left me. Without explanation

King: well, have you been at least fed?

Dragon: lately it's been everyday, but before about a week ago, it was only what the guards would feed me

King: ahh, i see. Well. would you be willing to make a deal?

Dragon: what kind of deal?

King: i know very little of my past. An i feel as if there are things that they do not know. If i took you in as a pet you should know me best right?

Dragon: i haven't seen your face in years. I hardly know you. My version of you that i know has been tainted with hatred and blood lust

King: well you're angry. I can see that. But if you're willing to put the past behind you. I could do the same. I could let you out. I could let you be free again. But you have to promise.

Dragon: it's not that easy for me. I can’t just let go

King: what could i do to make it up to you. What could i possible do to make up for what i have done.

Dragon: find another dragon. Male dragon. An let me live

King: fair enough, do i dare ask why a male exactly?

Dragon: well, i am female after all. A girl gets lonely in here

King: say no more, next time you see me. I will have another dragon

Dragon: good luck, you're gonna need it

King: an hey. If you ever need to talk to anyone, let someone know.

Dragon: wait, you mean that?

King: of course. If i have too i can come down hear myself. You can yell or do whatever it is that you need to do. You know. Besides kill me.

Dragon: thank you.

King: anytime

*the king leaves, he travels throughout the castle some more. He finds a record room. He looks through it, mostly to just find war records. An some expenses. Nothing interesting. He moves on. Eventually he finds his way to the drainage system.*

Garvelask: sir, what are you doing down here?

King: oh just wondering around. Just so happen to end up here

Garvelask: oh, well i’m not sure why. Not a whole lot happens down in the sewers

King: i figured. Which is exactly why i was hoping i would end up here

Garvelask: why?

King: well, sometimes i like to be alone. To be away from everything

Garvelask: oh, well do you want me to leave

King: no, in fact i would like if you stayed. I need to ask you a few questions. An i want you to be 100% honest

Garvelask: okay, umm shoot

King: what's your name?

Henry: it's Henry sir

King: okay Henry, how do you like it here in the castle?

Henry: honestly. I don't know anything else. I was born, raised, and fed here all my life. I wouldn't have anything else to compare it to.

King: how old are you?

Henry: 12 sir

King: garvelasks age the same as humans don't they?

Henry: we do, but our life span stops at around 35

King: you're pretty smart.

Henry: well, i learned from my parents. Before you released them

King: you didn't get released with your parents?

Henry: sadly no.

King: how come

Henry: that's what katy enforced.

King: tell me a little more about katy, what do you think of her?

Henry: well, she is loyal to you. So she hates the rest of us. She talks about how she is above us an how she cant wait till you kick the bucket so she can take over.

King: brave words. Brave words

Henry: you said be completely honest

King: i did. An i appreciate your honesty. Tell me, do you want to help me?

Henry: what do you need

King: well. How much do you know about dragons?

Henery: not much, but i do know someone who can help us. Or at least i know of them.

King: do you think you're parents would help us?

Henry. Yeah i suppose.

King: okay. How about me, you and your parents go on and adventure. An afterward you are free to go home with your parents.

Henry: wait, you would do that?

King: of course. I know what it's like to be taken away from those who love you

Henry: well. I don't really have a job anymore. An i don't get paid so why not? Let’s do this

King: just one more thing, who takes over the kingdom when both me and katy are gone?

Henry: the head of punishment. The one that is always near the cells for some reason

King: okay. When would you like to leave?

Henry: honestly i’m in-patient. So can we go now?

King: well, i don't see why not? Lets begin.
