Chill and I tossed our trash and went out to stand in the courtyard. The day was blustery, not surprising since it was October. Chill had his arm around my shoulders and a couple of girls in the corner glared at me. What the ever living fluck was their deal?

Yes, I said fluck. I'm trying to curb my potty mouth. My brother made a deal with me, if I could go a whole six months without cussing, he would take me to a Negative Sheep concert. He would pay, buy me a shirt, dinner, the whole nine. He'd even buy us plane tickets and a hotel room if it was out of state. Curse words could kiss my A-apple.

Seriously though, what was the deal with those girls. “Chill, any idea why those girls are giving me dagger eyes?”

He glanced over then giggle snorted. I kid you not. Giggle. Snort. And he still made it sound cool. It's a good thing he's my twin and I actually LIKE him. Otherwise, I'd hate him just a little bit there.

“They think we're dating.” He said after he got over his little bout of snorts.

“No!” I stumbled to a stop and looked at him in horror.

This caused him to break out his secret stash of guffaws as he nodded frantically. “Yep!” he said between gasps.

“EEEWWWWW! That's just... that's just GROSS!” I yanked myself out from under his arm, and he took the opportunity to brace himself, hands on knees.

As I stumbled back from my twin, who now – in my book – had a giant case of the cooties, I slammed against something hard where nothing hard should be. I bounced forward again and the only thing that kept me from taking a header onto the concrete was an iron band wrapped around my waist.

My feet left the ground and I hung in midair. Chill looked over at me and collapsed all the way to the ground, his face now red from his secret weapon, full on braying laughter. I crossed my arms and glared at my twin. “It's not funny Chill!” I looked at him in disgust.

“Oh, I agree.” He said as he tried to pull in deep breaths, only to start gales of laughter. Again.

My feet were still dangling in the air. I patted the vice across my stomach, “are you ever going to put me down?”

Whoever it was finally set me loose. Gently, I might add, as if I might break from the foot long drop. I turned and smiled up at my captor/savior, then forgot what I was going to say. This guy had black hair in that sexy tousled bedhead style, or he forgot to brush his hair this morning, either way, it still worked on him. He had violet eyes. I kid you not. Violet. His jaw was strong and his cheekbones chiseled. Holy smokes he was hot.

My eyes traveled downwards. Black leather jacket. Check. Black shirt. Check. Black Jeans. Check. Black combat boots. Check. Normally I'd say, dude – get some color on you geez! But, on him, it worked.

I blinked a few times, stunned by his absolute perfection, then shook myself out of it. I might have slapped my own cheek, I don't remember doing it, but the pain radiating off my right cheek said without a doubt, I'd done it.

“Thanks for keeping me from kissing concrete. It's no good as a facial. Been there, done that, won't ever mistake it for a good sugar scrub ever again. Sorry I bumped into you.” I babbled. What. Did. I. Just. Say?

Tall, dark, and sexy just made an annoyed face and nodded before leaving me to wipe the drool from my face. Kidding, the drooling was all in my head. Thank the gods.

Chill had finally calmed down and came back to drape his arm, once again, over my shoulders. "That, my dearest and only sister, is the only other god to grace this hellhole of a school. His name is Hades."
