“Elyon, age twenty. Do you accept your tasks and duties?” an elderly woman sits at a desk eyeing Elyon up and down. It was her that had spoken the words.
“Yes ma'am, I accept my tasks and duties as an angel of God.” Elyon has rehearsed these words over and over in his head, not wanting to screw up.
“Your sin file is in this briefcase. Handle it carefully dear boy and don’t lose it when you fall.” She picks up a black leather briefcase before holding it out to Elyon. A pale thin hand reaches out and takes the briefcase, gripping the handle tightly. Elyon was never very fit nor was he ever very tan.
“I will keep a close eye on it.” His voice is strong and steady. His green eyes showing nothing but sincerity, his facial expression remains blank. The old woman's eyes crinkle up a bit when she smiles. She takes pride in knowing that the future generation of angels is just as devoted, if not more so than her generation.
“Take care dear boy, you leave in an hour.”

Elyon has never been as nervous as he is in that moment, his palms won’t stop sweating and it feels like a brick has settled in his stomach. The weight of the whole situation is weighing down on him. If he fails this mission then he won’t be allowed back into heaven, he will be cursed to walk the earth for all eternity. Elyon shudders at the thought, he needs to take his mind off of things so he begins re-reading his sin file.
“ Name: Oliver W. Lincoln.
Age: Twenty-One years old
Height: Five foot eleven
Weight: 155 lbs
Eye Color: Green.
Sin Class number:5
Personality Type: Class B.
Likes: Partying and sleeping.”
Elyon silently curses how vague the sin file actually is, they don’t even give you any information that you need to know! How in the world is he supposed to save someone that he knows nothing about?! Not to mention his sin case is one of the highest levels there is!
“Elyon!” A man's voice snaps, causing Elyon's blue eyes to snap upwards. He makes eye contact with an elderly angel know as Daniel. Daniel is slouched over slightly due to his bad back, his hair is grey and even white in some places. His old blue eyes are full of wisdom and knowledge but there is something under the surface.
“Yes, Elder Daniel?” Elyon makes sure to hold eye contact with the elder angel, it is considered rude to look away.
“It's time.” Elyon’s nervousness increases tenfold, a sudden sickening feeling takes over his body. It swells in his gut and then spreads throughout his body, he feels like he is going to puke.
“Don’t look so worried my boy, it'll all go just fine.” Elyon nods before he stands up and makes his way over to the falling port.
“It's now or never,” Elyon mumbles to himself, hoping that the words will somehow ease his nerves. They don’t.

Olivers Point Of View:
“It’s now or never,” Oliver whispers to himself, the little tablet in his hand taunting him. His body is already covered in sweat due to alcohol and people grinding against him. The tablet is off colored orange, it has a brittle texture and god only knows what it could potentially do to him. “Here goes nothing…” He mumbles before he tosses the pill in his mouth. The taste is vile to put it lightly. It tastes sour, sweet and bitter all at once, it also tastes how gasoline smells. The flavor itself makes Oliver gag and want to throw up, but he endears it because he is curious to see what it will do to him. At first, nothing happens to him but a few minutes later his body begins to tingle and his world starts to spin. Oliver doesn’t remember much after that. He vaguely recalls drinking multiple different drinks, at one point he is fairly sure that he snorted something. All those events lead him up to his current position, on the floor of some random bathroom, puking up his guts.
“You poor thing.” A soothing voice whispers before a cold hand presses against his cheek. “Why do you do this to yourself, Oliver?” The voice asks. That's all that Oliver can recall before he is passing out.
-----
Sunlight streams in through the window, the see-through purple curtains doing nothing to prevent the light from getting inside. The light shines directly on Oliver's face, causing him to slowly stir into consciousness. A deep groan escapes him, a harsh throbbing rattling throughout his head, the need to throw up suddenly overwhelms him but before he can just up and rush to the bathroom a cold hand places itself against his pounding head. The cold feeling is soothing causing Oliver to relax into the touch almost immediately. But then he realizes something…. He lives alone. The scream that echoes through the room is ear shattering, Oliver is up and rising to his feet in an instant.
“Who in the world are you?!?” He demands, now facing the mystery man in his bedroom. The man is about a head and a half taller than Oliver. His skin is as pale as porcelain but the thing that stands out the most is his striking green eyes that seem to bare into Oliver's soul.
“I am Elyon, your guardian angel. I am here to save you from yourself. You are my sin case, the elder angels thought that we would be a great match. Together we shall overcome your sins.” The “angels” voice is robotic and holds no underlying emotion, very unlike the voice he heard last night.
“You are completely out of your mind if you think that I believe even a word that you are saying!” Oliver exclaims, his voice going a pitch higher than it normally is.
“But Oliver, I would never lie to you. I only bring the truth.” Elyon actually sounds offended by the disbelief in Oliver's voice, he would never lie to him.
“This isn’t real. It can’t be. I must be dreaming.” Oliver mumbles to himself, placing his hand on his forehead in disbelief.
“Oh but it is.”
