AN: Sorry this isn't another Abby/Ryan update! I will continue their story, but my brief surge of muse has fizzled out and I need to work on some other things, for a bit. ^^
A griffon stands on a large stone stage, his metallic beak and claws shining in the low light. He used to be flesh and blood, but after an attack, his wings and throat were shredding. Now both are covered in metal, adding an echo affect to his voice, as he sings from his metal covered beak. His body has been slightly modified in other places, but he still looks like a normal griffon. He flies through the air, singing for an audience of blurred faces, although two stand out. A small deer, that he feels the need to protect, and a small canine of some kind. He is unable to remember much about either of them, but he knows he cares for them.
As the cyborg flies up to make another loop, but he's unable to get his wings in the right position. He flaps his wings, in vain, before plummeting down towards the stage.
Candy awakes, with a jolt. The small, pink kitten is laying in a bed made of a quilt, some pillows and feathers. She blinks a few times. Who was that? And why did she feel a certain... kinship towards him? Strange. She rises from bed and shakes off her fur, looking around at the old wooden shack she calls home. Through one of the dirtied windows she can see that it's still dark and raining outside, which is pretty typical in her new home. She walks over to the other side of the room, where her small teddy bear sleeps.
The teddy bear was made by her, with lots of love, and one day it had come to life. Now, it carries around a large sketchpad and writes down her thoughts and what the mute kitten wants to say. She pokes at him with one paw, jostling it a bit. The teddy bear seems to look up at the kitten with his button eyes and his sewn mouth forms a smile. She smiles back.
'Ready to go?' The bear seems to ask. Candy nods. Yup! She's ready for a new day in her clan's new home. Her 'clan' being a large group of strange animals that all tolerate each other and listen to the leader. She isn't really sure who that is, because no one ever really talks to her. She's too small.
Candy and her bear grab a small tarp to cover the both of them and push open the old, rotting door, only to be met with a flash of lightning.
